Piper is living with her Gran in a retirement community in Florida. They have a busybody neighbor, Edie, who happens to be the grandmother of Ryker and has started to become involved with the maybe not-quite-legal shenanigans of Piper and Gran.
Piper is getting ready for her first date with Ryker but he doesn’t show, and Piper is getting annoyed, while Edie is getting concerned. When Edie gets word that Ryker has been shot, but he’s in the hospital, the three of them head there immediately. Once they find out that he’s stable, they start to investigate what happened to him. What follows is pure comedy wrapped into a cozy-type mystery.
This is laugh out loud, with crazy characters and situations. Think about a 30 something woman and two septuagenarians, showing up at a club where the only women allowed are in a “talent” contest. Think about bad guys who are like the Three Stooges. And you probably won’t guess who the ringleader is.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
DEANY Ray did it again. This is a fabulous, fabulous, wonderful, exciting, funny romantic book with the best women in the world.. they are tough, kind, loving, funny, friendly, quick on the draw and just about the best you’ll ever read about. I am very poor, but I bought this book and I’m so glad it was wonderful.. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with Piper and her granny in the next book and with Edie and Ryker. You can’t go wrong read all her books from the beginning. They’re all wonderful, clean, funny and just what we all need to make us laugh..!!!!! And I’m sure in the next one she’s gonna get sour Puss who is a demon on wheels! Love love love your books DEANY!!!!

Love Piper Harris
I really enjoy this next Piper Harris adventure. I've had a tough year losing my mom and marriage and this book was just the lift I needed.
I waz laughing out loud while reading this because of the antics of Piper, Edie and of course Gran..They never disappoint. Just the humor I needed to cheer me up.
And so glad that finally the spark between Piper and Ryker is starting up. So sweet for two badasses.
I would highly recommend this series of books to anyone needing a getaway to a hilarious lifestyle of these characters. Definitely worth the read. I can't wait for the next one! Thank you Deny for the escape.

It’s always a rollercoaster ride when visiting Piper in Bitter End with all her crazy friends. Edie’s always such a hoot, but she had a way more important reason for wanting involved in the case this time—her grandson Ryker was almost killed.
But wherever Piper, Gran and Edie go, hilarity and mayhem aren’t too far behind. The scenes in the Mermaid Bar were absolutely hysterical as were some of the others with Edie and Piper running around trying to keep secrets from the retirement complex. The showdown at the end was epic and the very ending was pretty awesome too. I can’t wait to read the next book!

Bitter End is THE BEST
I LOVE Piper, Gran and Edie. They are the greatest. Throw in Sourpuss, Leonardi, Shawty and the Homeless Man and you have a great supporting cast. This series is one of my favorites. The Romance heating up between Rikerr and Piper does my heart good. The humor is off the charts. You can't have a bad day when you are reading a Deany Ray book. The only problem is that you read them so quickly and then you have to wait for the next one. Just fantastic.

Death Ray did it again! She created another awesome cozy mystery. This story of Piper Harris, and P.I. Tyler Donovan had you wondering what was going to happen next. The antics that Piper, her grandmother Dorothy & Ryker's grandmother Edie would get them into would have you laughing out loud. Somehow each book is better than the last one! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Can't wait for the next book in the Piper Harris series!

Fantastic as usual.
I am a big fan of this series and the latest book did not disappoint. I enjoyed that we got to see a little more behind the scenes of Ryker and how he may be more accepting of Piper's past than she originally thought. The things these ladies got into in this book were hilarious! Can't wait for the next book.

I really love this series. This book is a great addition to it. The characters are so entertaining with their quirks, their background, and their interactions. The setting being in a retirement community adds to the stories. The mystery is very enjoyable. The mystery, suspense, action, and a bit of romance make this book (and all the books in this series) totally entertaining.

Out of a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this book a strong 11!
I just so enjoy this Cozy series. The book was very captivating, entertaining and funny at times. I love the characters. Especially Grams and her performance at the bar. I like books that don’t have a million characters to keep track of. I look forward to the next Adventure.

Funny, unexpected adventures of the geriatric retirement village. gotta love those Floridians.
If you like JanetEvanovich you will love this series. Edie could be grandma Mazure’s sister. Funny easy reading. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Start with book 1. It’s a little slow at first and repetitive when starting the next book. But very enjoyable to read.

Excellent story
I loved the story. I wind up laughing my way through it all and how they work together is so fun. I would love to see Gran get her jacket back though and would love to see Piper take someone's Harley for a ride or chase. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Fun!
Just a few pages into the book and I was actually laughing out loud. It wasn’t just the one chapter, though. This book kept me smiling and laughing. (I So love Edie!) Read it. You will have a good time. It’s my favorite of the series… which are all really fun.

Really funny
These books make me laugh so much, the things that Piper, her gran Dorothy and neighbour Edie get up to is insane. Plenty of mayhem followed with the odd murder and plenty of pie and rum. Definitely worth five stars.
