World of Warcraft is Adam’s preferred method of decompression. It allows him to sink into BloodKnight’s world. He’s Adam’s alternate personality in a universe that’s not filled with the drama this one is. A place where Adam Damien and his problems don’t exist.
And damn, he has many. An ex who loves spreading lies for no other reason than to hurt him and keep his daughter away from him. A cop who has made sure the entire force harasses Adam as much as he does.
And two men who have my heart. As if my life isn’t complicated enough.
TraumaBull, Adrian Sloan, has been my best friend since they were in diapers. They grew up together. They’ve watched each other enter relationships and fail at them. With epic proportions. They’ve always been there to pick each other up, but he has no idea he owns Adam.
And then there’s MoonFire. He’s Adam’s Healer in the game. He has no idea that he does the same for him in real life. He fills in the cracks of Adam’s armor with his quick wit and sexy voice. And he has no idea who he is in real life.
Fantasy starts blurring into reality. Every daydream he has involves MoonFire and TraumaBull, until they start fading into Adrian and Jake, the hot guy from the coffee shop who sounds a lot like my onscreen healer.
Before Adam can stop it, all of our hearts are tragically close to being annihilated.
And it’s all his fault…

Lost for Christmas is the 1st book in the Piper Falls Christmas Series an interconnected series that’s written by several authors. This installment is brought to us by Melony Ann.
From World of Warcraft decompression to real world dilemmas.
Adam loves to play World of Warcraft at the end of the day to decompress and destress and he loves that he gets to do this while hanging out with his in real life best friend Adrian. In game everyone knows Adam as BloodKnight and everyone knows Adrian as TramaBull. They’ve also welcomed another member to their group, MoonFire, an online player they’ve met but have never met in real life.
Both Adam and Adrian have been repressing their attraction to each other in the real world and they know exactly what they are doing to MoonFire and neither one of them minds.
MoonFire loved his time playing World of Warcraft and he enjoys the time he spends with BloodKnight and TraumaBull and he would be mortified if they knew that he was secretly getting off of their in-game dominance. One-night BloodKnight turns his dominance on MoonFire and that leaves him wrecked in only the best ways possible. Well not to be out done, TraumaBull picks another night and does the same thing. MoonFire wishes that it was all in real life, but real life and online are so very different. And in real life, MoonFire is just Jake, you’re typical barista.
Nevertheless, their entire world changes immensely when Adam and Adrian realize one day that Jake, the barista at their local coffee shop is MoonFire. This leaves them both over the moon. And they realize that it really is a small world.
I loved the way that Melony Ann crafted this book and created in game personas and slowly showed that the people in the game world are the same people in the real world for the most part…well, in Jakes case, in person he is far far shier and more submissive but where Adam and Adrian are concerned, that works just fine for them.
The real problems come to light when Adrian comes across Adam’s daughter on the side of the road one day. He finds her to be emaciated, terrified, and on the run from some guy that her mom’s been dating. Yes, there’s a restraining order out on her Dad, but it’s about time that he fought that and got her away from her mom and took custody of her for himself. Only the problem is, this isn’t going to only affect him, it’s also going effect Adrian and Jake. Especially complicating things as Jake has a stalker of his own.
I just loved the way this book wove budding relationships, gaming, and real-world drama. We are reminded that you never know where the next attack is going to come from. The slow burn spice is perfectly done and is just beautiful but at the same time is just so hot.
I love how we see a family come together, three gamers, a daughter with her boyfriend, the boyfriend’s family who becomes really close and this found family is just so beautiful. And I can’t help but love how every one of these characters end up finding exactly what they really wanted.
