What daft wanker stepped in it now? That’s the first thing that goes through Dorian Devil’s mind when his phone rings, and he puts his own life on hold to fix someone else’s screw-ups. One call, that’s all anyone ever gets from this enchanter, and Dorian neither makes exceptions nor believes in enabling people not to protect themselves. In order to repair the situation, he must erase the client’s existence from everything. Friends, family, employment… Lovers. Heaven forbid any part of their life is complicated—Dorian doesn’t do complications. Fledgling vampire, Seth Kohler, on the run in Denver, makes his one call to Dorian, unsure of what will happen to him once he raises the paranormal 9-1-1. Turning everything over to Dorian, Seth has to trust in the powers of the Enchanter. Seth, not knowing who or what is hunting him, latches on to Dorian as his personal life support. Will Dorian be able to erase Seth’s existence from Denver or will someone keep on Seth’s trail before Dorian can safely get him to his new life?

2.5 charming stars

This book ends at 75% aprox, so I skip the rest of excerpts and publicity.

Not what I think it could be. So if you are looking for some PR... is not your book.

Vampires and weres exist in this world as a hidden society, but some police and hunters are after them. So, you get only one ticket to start over and avoid them. Enter the Enchanter, also known this days as Dorian Devil. A vampire ..sorcerer? able to erase your former life to give you another chance. Just only one.

Dorian has the personality of a charming bastard, powerful, a bit jaded for events of his past. His client, Seth, is young, insecure and naive.Dorian just wants to work and pass to the next.

This has a good start and premise, but became a bit repetitive with the issues , and insecurities, of both men. Different fears, and centuries of different experiences.

Not your usual end.

I started good

I started out like it was going to be a good series but the ending turned me off. I am not sure if the next.book will continue with Seth and.Dorian or a new enchanted. If it is a new enchanted it will leave me depressed.

Very Interesting

I started this because I loved the Enchantress and I knew the series kind of overlapped. I didn’t have any expectations going in, and I absolutely loved this. It’s extremely different for a MMC to be the lead (at least for the books I read!) and I’m loving the difference.

Dorian is a very strong lead, and I love him. He’s extremely powerful, and very closed off emotionally. I love this about him, because hopefully he’ll get a love interest who wants him for him, and not the magic he can do. Looking at you Seth 👀. He’s so different from Soraya - his person in another world (think of this as multiverse) - but also very similar. You definitely don’t need to read both, but I’d recommend it for a fuller picture.

Seth is cute and sweet. Really sweet. I hope he doesn’t lose that as the books go on, and I hope we still get to see him. He’s adorable and I think he could be so good for Dorian... when he’s a little more clued up about the supernatural world.

I adore this series because the supernaturals are in hiding. Compared to The Enchantress and Seraphine Thomas (Erin Flynn books) I think this take is amazing. It’s interesting, fresh, and there’s so many possibilities for the series.

I highly recommend this series.

Really enjoyed this book!

Wow! This is the second time I’ve read this book and it was even better than the first time! Dorian, the Enchanter, is such a complicated person. His back story is heartbreaking.
Poor Seth is just so lost. Thank goodness for Dorian!
I loved the interaction between the two characters as well as the world building regarding the other paranormals.
Can’t wait to read the next book!

Enjoyable supernatural book

I really enjoyed the world crafted in this is. About halfway through I already decided to get the second book in the series. I loved Dorian and his blunt voice. I was hoping to see more with his charge learning from the elder. If you like gay magical fantasy, this is a fun book.

I LOVED Dorian! Definitely one of my top three favorite MCs of this author (and all her pen names). He has such a tough exterior, especially in the first book, but then you get to see his gooey interior. He's such a softie.

The rest of the characters are well thought-out and the plot is amazing; fast-paced, but not in your face.

Great series and I would love to read more.

Awesome

While I found the Enchantress first, this series has its own amazingness to it without being just the male version. Can't wait to read more.

Me gusta Dorian y todo lo que hace para ayudar a las personas sobrenaturales. Me encanta eso del 911 sobrenatural y la forma en que ayuda a los demás a pesar del pago que pueda obtener. Q

Summary:

From the first line of the story “What daft wanker stepped in it now?” I was absolutely hooked. I was laughing so hard that I had to put the book down! To the world Dorian showed his very professional and stand-offish demeanor, but the few people he trusts see a different side of him. Seth's call to Dorian was a cry for help and it was his job to clean up the mess, but for once Dorian couldn't keep his professional distance. Especially when he learned that Seth an another shifters maker left never giving teaching them what they needed to survive. It was fascinating how Dorian used his powers to evade the hunters and erase Seth's past allowing him to create a new life with the help of a vampire elder. Most people would try to learn Dorian's secrets, but Seth only wanted to use what he had learned in school before he became a vampire to help make Dorian stronger. The growing friendship between them scared Dorian, but can he move beyond his past experiences to look towards the future. I look forward to the next book in The Enchanter series.

What an interesting new series by Flynn Eire! It isn't the typical love story you have come to expect, but rather a story centering around a different paranormal world than we are used to reading. Changing someone into a vampire or shifter is as easy as a blood exchange. If your maker cares, he/she stays and teaches you and show you how to live your new life. If he/she doesn't, you kind of have to figure out what is going on and how to survive on your own.

Who do you call when the humans have found out you are a vampire and you are hiding from them? Devil, of course! Dorian Devil. He is the paranormal eraser if you will. He uses magic to help out young paranormals and help get them to their respective elders so that they can learn what their makers should have taught them.

When he travels to Denver for an assignment, Seth wasn't what he was expecting. Seth is the only one that has never asked much from him. His innocence is refreshing. The fact that Seth cared enough about Dorian to help him eat better so that he could wield his magic without draining himself, was amazing. No one ever did anything like that for him.

This book sets up the storyline for the other books that follows. I am looking forward to more of this series. I could actually see this as a television series. Perhaps HBO or Showtime? Move over True Blood, The Enchanter is coming!

I was really getting into this series. I am a little up in the air on how it ended because it left a lot unfinished. I am hoping the next book involves Seth and Dorian and their story is continued. As for what the story was about, I enjoyed the idea. It was a little different than what I have read before with an enchanter being paid to help paranormals in need. There is a lot of possibility with that storyline. The one thing about the book that I wasn't super happy with was the 40+ pages of sneak peeks at the end. I like reading sneak peeks, but that was a little overkill. I found myself skimming past most of them.

I surprised myself by my reaction to this one. I'm generally so put off by that I end up hating the entire book.

But here I was so captivated by the world and by Dorian as the narrator that I found myself not even caring.

Can't wait to start #2!

Some Favorite Quotes:
"I just killed two people," Seth rasped as he sat down next to me.
I shrugged. "If you say so," I wasn't sure what he wanted from me. I was all out of cookies.

I was a ball of issues, packed in a box of years not handling them well, hidden away by isolation, and wrapped up in magic and power.

ummm no ...

story is good but I dislike stories without HEA so ... I think I'm gonna wait for at least 3 more books, or the end, before I continue with this series.
