The Silent War

Twin obsession.
Second chance.
One girl caught between kings.

For three years, Emilia Adams avoided our city. Pretended she could forget us.

But silence didn’t kill the obsession.
It sharpened it.

She was the first girl to see us as one—the only one who never asked us to break apart.

The world would call it dangerous. Too much.
But what we feel for her isn’t obsession instead of love.
It’s obsession because of love.

Now she’s back in Villain.
Caught in contracts. Promised to another man.

But she doesn’t belong to them.
She never did.

This isn’t love.
It’s possession.
And possession doesn’t let go—
not until she wears our name.

✓ Forbidden dynasty marriage✓ Possessive kings who worship filthy✓ One girl who was never supposed to love them bothNO CHEATING. NO OWD (Other Woman Drama).

Author’s The Silent War is a dark, slow-burn MFM romance featuring twin brothers, one defiant dynasty daughter, and the legacy they were never meant to share. This series includes morally gray characters, power dynamics, emotional obsession, and scenes that may be triggering for some readers.

Omg what a cliffhanger!!!!!!!

I don’t think I can wait for the next book I need to know how this is going to play out NOW!!!!! Let me tell you this book was just as spicey 🥵 as the last one maybe more. But the emotional roller coaster had me tearing up just a little. In each chapter I’m just falling in love with these twins over and over. I can’t wait till I read about Alexzander getting his because I know it’s coming. This book is a must read. 10/10 😮‍💨😮‍💨

absolutely hooked

This was a great 2nd book following the first. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Had to block out my day but not upset with the level of writing I just read.

To see two men so in sync with each other and Em was…no words for it. Just stunning.

The ending broke me a bit then getting to read the 1st chapter in the 3rd book made me feel a stone at the bottom of my stomach, an itch to need to read the 3rd book fully asap.

Looking forward to December, silently in my calendar

Luca’s obsession was my favorite him coding the phone and sending the rug because she slips in socks when she is tired.
Bastion in the tunnels when he listens to her breathing to calm down.
The brothers were in sync, normally there is competition and jealously in MFM. This book didn’t have that. The twins bond made the book.
I loved how time wasn’t wasted with starting the relationship back up.

🌶️The daddy/daddies references always made me cringe, but the twins started the awakening. The spice in this book is HOT.
🥵 Praise kink, soft domination and sweet aftercare.

“The world wouldn’t understand our love for her. They’d call it obsession, dangerous, call it every word they reach for when something is too big for them to name. But what we felt for her wasn’t obsession instead of love. It was obsession because of love. She was the piece that made us whole. The proof that the fracture between us had been waiting for her all along. She didn’t love Bastion. She didn’t love me. She loved us. Both halves. The whole. And that meant she wasn’t just ours—she was meant for us. Other men said they’d die for their women. We never said it, because it wasn’t enough. Death was too easy. We would live for her. Burn for her. Break laws, break dynasties, break the world if that’s what it took. Our devotion wasn’t just a vow.”

I liked the first book and was excited to read the second book but ultimately it was a pretty big disappointment. This book needs to go through at least one more round of edits before being ready for print. Nearly every chapter of this book, if not every chapter, had at least one misused word or typo. Additionally scenes were incredibly repetitive with dialogue duplicated just a few lines later- especially in the sex scenes.
Plot wise- this book is entirely a miscommunication trope- we left boon one with the twins leaving, and we enter this book three years later after no contact. The twins never actually explain why they took this action and Emilia is supposed to just accept it. When they try to explain part of it- they really don’t. The twins speak of wanting to empower Emilia and that the Crow way of life is better than the legacy way- but they’re doing the same things and Emilia isn’t questioning it enough. They aren’t showing her other Crow wives or introducing her to their family or society.
I don’t think I will read the third book. Which is a shame because I think there was a lot of potential here.

again, the plot makes no sense
WHAT THE FUCK IS DYNASTY AND THE CODEX AND THE SPINE AND I JUST DID NOT FUCKING GET IT. ALSO, THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THEM TO KEEP WHY THEY BROKE CONTACT, LIKE LEGIT, NO REASON.

Alexander can die in a ditch
WHY IS BASTION NOT WEARING KEVLAR...BRUHHHHHHH YOU IDIOT.

again, the smut was smutting... I'm a sucker for dialogue so them talking her through is just really hot. BUT SERIOUSLY THESE BOOKS ARE SO DUMB BUT I ALSO WANT BOOK 3 SOOOOO I'll just leave it at that.

I read both books all night who leaves books on a cliffhanger. I am not happy. I need the third book. I need to know if they get through this together. I need to know like why did you do this to me and I really hope Alezxander gets what's coming to him because I am not happy with him like that is your sister you butt hole. I need more chapters. I need the third book release it earlier. I need it today. I need it in a week.

hear me out - as a fictional book, the hard topics were done well.

BUT— if i ever become a mafia princess and fall in love so hard i think what the men in this book propose is okay and romantic, send me to the artic to rethink my life choices or get mauled by a polar bear. Whichever comes first is fine.

THE SEQUEL WAS BETTER THEN THE FIRST.
It had dark complex scenes.
The author wrote the spice scenes really well and didn’t feel added for no reason and one brother didn’t have a stronger connection with Em.
I need the next book to read Luca’s reaction to the ending.

I want to give it a 4 because I still love the story and the anstiness we get from the guys, but there are so many points of repetition that takes you out of the world.

Also, how could you leave us like that?

The crow twins just set the bar. They built a penthouse around her while she didn’t even follow them online.

Binged read both books.
The twins read as men which is rare in books these days. The characters are really well written.
