5🌟's for Ako🌟💖🔥
From the very first book in the very first series Annie Lucas has captured my heart and my attention. Each book was lovingly crafted and created a universe with stories of loss, pain , redemption, forgiveness and most importantly love. Add to that complex Machinations of intergalactic politics and greed and you've got yourself some freaking fantastic stories! We met Duke Ako in the first book of the first series. I didn't know what to make of him at first but as the character developed you knew he carried a deeply wounded heart. In this book his story unfolds and how he would do absolutely anything for the woman he loved even sacrifice everything the y built together to keep her safe. Helene stolen from Earth in the early 1900's and introduced to aliens, space and the less desirable elements of the universe. She learned quickly to rely on herself and do try and survive. When she meets Ako both their lives change forever. Helene captures him with her internal fire, her fierce attitude and the deep well of her intelligence. Their meeting alters the course of both their lives forever. Love binds them together strong than any chains forged. But horrible danger lurks and if Ako can't keep his love save he'll loose her forever. You've got to give this second chance at love your full attention. Its a fantastic story that Furthers the over arching plot that has been twisting together and drawing us in from the very first story! Finally!!
One f my favorite series of all time and each book gets better. The characters are like friends and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens next! This one did not fail to be a page turner and I loveee every moment!

good short read
Ako’s anguish about his mate is pretty much through this book. Had to skip a lot to get to the good parts. Not one of my favorites but good in determining future story lines.
