With a title like "Boo-ty Calls", you go in expecting laughs and smut and Tanya Lynn definitely delivered. There were parts that made me laugh and parts that made me cringe a little but overall I had a great time.
I sort of wish there was more about Archer after he passed, the majority of the book was while he was living. With the cover and title, I thought it would focus a bit more on the afterlife side of things. But it's a novella after all, only so many pages. I would definitely read more if their story was ever expanded in though!

I received this as an ARC, and from filling out the form, I knew this was going to be a fun read.
Tanya Lynn did not disappoint, and that cheeky wit carried over into this book. This would also be my first time reading her work, and I have to say that I really appreciate her style in delivering kink smut lightheartedly through quirky and loveable characters.
Based on the book's description, I found myself waiting and waiting for the paranormal aspect... and oop there it was! Not what I expected, but I also was not disappointed either.
Normally, I can't help myself from reading critically or analytically, but this made me shut up and enjoy the read for vibes and entertainment alone. Refreshing, fun, and kind of sad that the story wasn't longer.
I definitely recommend this book as a pallete cleanser for those between dark romance books that have been feeling a little too heavy or a little too serious.

A fun, smutty, spooky novella to get you into the fall spirit!
This novella was cover to cover smut. 😂 I enjoyed my time with this ARC and I'm so happy I am able to go back and re read it whenever I want to. I was not expecting what was between these pages, but I am absolutely not disappointed. 10/10 thank you so much for allowing me the pleasure of reading this early!

Honestly, this book made me laugh, cringe and outright gag at some of the scenes. I did feel for Asher with the way they were degrading him in some parts. However, when they were alone and out of the sub/dom moments they were quite sweet with their little routines and nicknames.
Would I recommend this book - yes to the right people. This book has some dark themes in it as well as gross to the point of gagging moments. *cough cough little gift 🎁 💦💦*
Also... where were the condoms... all I could think about was STIs when reading the club scenes 😅

Well, if you put that in the contents/warning, whomst am I not to read?
3.5 strong stars so 4 stars.
I enjoyed this story. It gets 1½ stars off because I am not a fan of humiliation/degradation and cuckolding. Also the post haunting could have been longer as well as an epilogue (?). Actually, maybe an epilogue but definitely a longer post haunting. The post haunting to close of curtain was very abrupt/short.
Sloane and Archer are two weirdos perfect for each other. I was just from reading another book that rated dismally on dirty talk. This one rates highly and I am so glad I actually read this right after the other one because for a minute I was doubting myself on whether I was being harsh on my previous rating. No, I wasn't. Because specifically Archer worshipping Sloane in words and actions was hot as fuck. I loved how they took care of one another and how Sloane was fierce about not intentionally hurting Archer.
Some of the things they did together however, were a bit too much for my tastes.
The book is also written from a realistic point of view. It is a novella but the characters outside of their kink dynamic have real world depth so I was a fan of that.
So, enjoyed this. There maybe some things that aren't to everyone's taste but most of all loved Archer's adoration, worship of Sloane.

Miscommunication isn’t the trope we follow, and it never will be.

I went into Boo-Ty Calls looking for a quick, spicy read to fit the Halloween mood, and it absolutely delivered. Tanya Lynn wastes no time getting to the good stuff; this novella is steamy from the very first page but still manages to tell a solid story underneath all the heat. It has that perfect mix of paranormal and erotic that just works for a short, seasonal read.
The pacing stayed tight the whole way through, keeping me hooked from start to finish. Even though it’s short, it felt complete, and I actually appreciated how the ending tied things up while keeping just the right amount of morbid humor. The ghostly element gave it a fun and slightly dark twist that made it stand out from your average spicy novella.
What impressed me most was how well it balanced the supernatural angle with some serious dom/sub spice. Those scenes were top-tier. The single possession scene added a unique spin to the story without overdoing the paranormal aspect. The chemistry between the characters felt believable, the dialogue worked, and the tone matched the story’s mix of heat and humor.
All in all, Boo-Ty Calls is the definition of a fun, spicy Halloween treat. It’s not meant to be deep, but it doesn’t need to be. It hits exactly the tone it’s going for. I’ll definitely keep this one in rotation every spooky season.

what the helllio did I just read ???? I went into this blindly and I was not disappointed!!!! pure smut packed into a novella ... I liked the characters Archer was so loveable .... I was wondering where and when the title was gonna come into play ... but it was a hot, funny, sweet , fast read and inwas very happy to have received an advance readers copy to review!!!! Great if you just wanna read something easy and dark that you don't have to think much about... I'm a fan !!

Boo-ty Calls has its unique twist to it. The cover first of all is a unique cover I havent seen before. When reading the book, it totally made sense. I love the heroine because she is a woman who knows what she wants. I wish I could hug the hero and wrap him up in a blanket. Love this book.

I really enjoy reading Tanya Lynn, she’s got some funny and spicy works out there.
This one is a little different from two favorites of hers: To Peen or Not to Peen, and Rocking Around Her Core. While there are little flickers of humor between characters, this one felt more serious to me — in spite of the humorous title.
Sloane, the FMC, is a domme. She and Archer, the MMC, live together. She has trained him well to be her sub. Sloane gets a lot of what she needs from Archer’s dedication to her, but he’s got a small peen, so she occasionally cucks him and incorporates another man, Mason, into their play so that she gets to play sub as well as use this to playfully torture Archer.
It was interesting to see Sloane and Archer’s dynamic play out on the page. Their relationship is deeper than Dom-sub, she genuinely depends on him to take care of her, and he genuinely lives to care for her and make her happy.
I was wondering while reading when the ghost element of the title would come into play. It takes awhile but after a freak kitchen accident Archer finds himself no longer corporeal, and is left wondering what to do. What follows are some genuinely amusing moments as well as some heartbreaking ones as Sloane tries to navigate life without him.
While this didn’t have the almost over the top corny humor that some of her other work has, this was still enjoyable to read.

I have been blessed to be an ARC reader for this book and honestly? Tanya writes the kind of stories that make you sit back, blink twice, and whisper to yourself, “What the hell did I just read?” …in the best possible way.

Boo-ty Calls was a an interesting read for sure! Sloane and Archer's relationship isn't "traditional" but it works well for them, and they truly do love each other. It was spicy in the beginning half, then tragedy strikes. There was a moment of miscommunication when Sloane told Archer “We can’t be sorry for our feelings. We have them for a reason, like everything else. Just use your words next time. I’ll never do anything to hurt you on purpose.”, and that was a beautiful way to word it! While I think Archer's accidental demise is terrible, it does make me wonder what distracted him and made him break routine enough for it to literally be the death of him. But Archer becoming a ghost and haunting Sloane with inconveniences that she can only assume is actually him, while borderline thinking she's gone insane, was hilarious to read about..because if that was me I'd do the same thing to my husband 😂 oh and I can't forget the glow in the dark man juice, if that doesn't spark your interest idk what will! I recently picked up Boo-ty Calls by Tanya Lynn, and it was definitely an interesting ride! This book leans into the paranormal dark rom-com space, and it’s unlike most romances I’ve read. The mix of supernatural elements, humor, and spice makes it stand out, and there were moments that had me laughing out loud at how quirky and unexpected it was.
The dynamic between Sloane and Archer centers around femdom, which I usually have no problem with—I’ve read other femdom romances and enjoyed them. But here, it felt a little too much at times, almost to the point where it tipped into discomfort for me personally. It was still playful and bold, but the intensity of it wasn’t always my cup of tea.
That said, I do appreciate how unapologetically unique Tanya Lynn made this story. If you like your romance spiced with kink, paranormal twists, and off-the-wall humor, this could easily be a fun guilty-pleasure read.

This novella felt like an actual book read, so much in each & every page! Great job Tanya Lynn, I'm never disappointed with any of your writing.
We get a FMC, Sloane, who is married and is a Switch. At home with her husband, Asher, she's the Dom in every aspect of their life, not just the bedroom. When their third, a male, joins in Sloan becomes the sub while her husband watches until he's told he can join.
Tanya Lynn did NOT disappoint in the spicy smut category. We also have comedy, I did giggle in quite a few parts. She didn't stop with the smut & humor, she added in the Paranormal Trope to it!
I highly recommend this novella with the trigger warning attached. Please read those, they are important.

This was a very interesting read. It was well written and very smutty! The smut was definitely smutting!! It was in the first chapter all the way to the last!
It’s a short novella that packs a punch. It’s witty and very creative, but at the same time will have your Fanny fluttering - it’s so Damm hot!
It does get darker towards the end of the book bordering on the pitch black/taboo genre, but I’m here for it!
Can defo recommend this book and anything else Tanya Lynn puts her pen to, as this isn’t the first of her books I have read and loved, and it won’t be the last!
In short, get ready to have socks blown off!

These two have a wild dynamic I could never picture and it was refreshing to read, I was wondering when we got to the boo in booty but it all happened really quickly but still worked so well at that pace.
It’s a fun spicy novella. Its just the right move as a pallet cleanser after something heavy, being fast pace but still keeping the story.

I love the whole femme dom idea, and it was incredibly eye opening to read something where the man is the one doing the begging. Don’t get me wrong, Tanya has written some amazing Masc dom books, but this one tickled an itch.
It kept my attention the whole time, and Archer was just such a sweet baby angel. Doing anything and everything he could for his Goddess. & their communication? Top notch.
