He came back broken. She came through like a storm.
Marine veteran Lucas “Luc” Stanley never expected the woman he fought for would trade his dog tags for a diamond from someone else. Crushed and haunted by flashbacks, Luc finds refuge at Silver Creek Ranch, a secluded retreat for combat vets in Ironhaven, South Dakota. But after his time there ends, he chooses to stay—building a quiet life of routine, far from the noise of who he used to be. He doesn’t do surprises. Doesn’t do people. And sure as hell doesn’t do distractions.
Then Dahlia Childs crashes into his world—loud, bold, and everything Luc doesn’t want but can’t seem to ignore.
Dahlia’s chasing freedom, not fairytales, and definitely not some grumpy man. But when fate leaves her unexpectedly stranded, the only shelter around belongs to a brooding cowboy with a biting edge and memories he can’t outrun, carved deeper than his scars.
What begins as barbed banter turns into something hotter than either of them is ready for. He’s rigid and cold. She’s fire and pushback. Together, they’re the kind of collision that could either wreck them…or finally set them free.
Untaming the Cowboy is a steamy, emotional, interracial BWWM romance featuring a feisty heroine, a rigid small-town hero, and an unforgettable HEA.
Silver Creek Ranch Series Alpha protectors have returned to civilian life and have sought refuge at the Silver Creek Ranch, a place for healing for military veterans. With their dark pasts haunting them, will these heroes find what they need to heal?
With swoon-worthy cowboys and feisty heroines, readers will become addicted to this new, exciting world!

I loved Dahlia and Luc's story. Amazon didn't upload the correct copy and there are 3 critical chapters missing. I had the grace to reach out to the author who tried to get Amazon to fix it. They didn't do it in a timely manner. She did send me the finished version and those 3 chapters made this a 5 star story. Beau, Mara, Teylor, Granny and so many other characters in this story, made it beautiful and complete. Love is worth seeing the cracks and fully loving anyway. For those readers who left negative reviews because the uploaded version was incomplete, I encourage you to check in with the author before assuming it was their doing. This story is wonderful and continues the excellence of this series.
Deep rooted scars, recurring nightmares, and that’s just the mild side of this story. The storm and devastation that comes when fire meets wind in a flirtatious flurry of emotions, yet end in a calming resolve of quiet consent ending in pure love! This was a great read…the characters perfectly matched in a struggle of healing and restoration!
Love Luc and Dahlia! Wow...sometimes we need a storm to come through and shake our lives up!
If you like a strong FMC and stubborn MC and a great support system I highly recommend! Dahlia plays no games! Luc can't fathom the storm that will do more than rock Ironhaven!
This is a good read. Luc is a man broken by the war that he hasn't been able to leave behind. Dalhia is wild, loving, and friendly. They end up stuck on his ranch after a bad storm. She likes to heal things and make them better. He is ornery and stuck in his ways. A clash will follow.
Luc and Dahlia is a wonderful read! Dahlia has a way about her that has everyone loving her. She's unique in her own way. She speaks her mind. Luc start out being a grumpy cowboy, but before long he warms up to Dahlia and realizes that she is the one for him.
Gorgeous story! Swoony chemistry, intriguing heroine, achy strong hero, satisfying setting and exquisite plot with compelling human and animal supporting characters. Read this one.💖
I loved it up until the climax. I heavily despise when the fmc pushes too far and the mmc reacts and he ends up being the one to apologize. If with the further explanation, she was in the wrong but that's just me. If you think the same lmk
This story was so touching, and just so wonderful! I absolutely loved the way the author built the relationship between the MCs! It felt do authentic, and how his PTSD was described just broke my heart because there are definitely soldiers out there who have a daily battle just to stay sane and I loved how this author took the time to let the character work through their struggles. The chemistry between all of the characters is so beautiful, and by the time the two MCs get together your soul, as well as your heart is just happy and content! TRULY A GREAT BOOK! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
