A shy animal lover. A billionaire bad boy. And a secret that could ruin it all. I have three months to disappear. One last taste of freedom before I go back to the wedding my father has planned for me.
Ocean Bay was supposed to be my quiet place. Just me, a bunch of rescue animals, and no surprises. I’m shy, a little weird, and way more comfortable with my ferrets than people.
Then Liam West crashes in. The outgoing, prank-loving billionaire is everything I didn’t expect—and everything I begin to want.
As our friendship deepens into something more, I keep my secret buried, knowing our time has an expiration date. Then my future catches up to me, and everything unravels.
I’ve followed my father’s script long enough. Now I’m writing my own ending.
Is it too late to undo the damage with Liam? Or can love find a way into our hearts after all?
Liam and Lucy are two wonderful characters that I fell in love with from the very beginning. Liam is being pursued by Pamela, who is outspoken and persistent. Liam has no interest in her at all, but she won’t take no for an answer. As he’s trying to leave the conversation, he notices a woman “struggling with a pair of ferrets on a leash.” Liam notices the woman right away and notices that her “hair’s the color of autumn leaves.” Now, Liam owns and operates “a tech empire,” he has a beachside estate, and can be extremely charming when needed. He hurries off and is able to nab the ferret that was loose. They introduce themselves to each other and the spark of electricity seems to have hit the two of them. Lucy is quite shy and hesitant; however, Liam is completely smitten by her and the touch between the two of them. Lucy ends their encounter quickly and goes on her way. Liam can’t stop thinking about her and wondering why she is so guarded. There must be a reason, maybe an ex who wasn’t faithful, she seems to have an issue with trust. Lucy is also thinking about Liam. She was endeared by the way he just stepped up and grabbed Pip before she could get away, his touch, the way he looked at her-not just seeing her in front of him but seeing her as a person. Lucy stops by Gracie’s Animal Haven and a woman asks if she’s there to get a check-up for her ferrets. She quickly asks if she has any job openings. Gracie takes her to an area in the back and says they can always use a helping hand. Gracie asks if she’s new in town, although she knows she is. Their conversation is mostly about the town and how welcoming everyone is. Lucy needs a place to start over with who she is, and this town seems like the perfect place. Gracie offers her a position and to Lucy’s delight, the ferrets are welcome to come with her each day. For the first time in a long while, she finally feels comfortable and at ease. Maybe this town and these people are just what she needs. Liam is on his way to Gracie’s to discuss a tech upgrade for the clinic with Emma. It shouldn’t take long, and he has a full schedule today. The two of them sit down to discuss the details when the door opens and it’s Lucy. Well, well, well, Liam wasn’t expecting to see her today, but boy does he feel the charge in the air. Liam realizes since Lucy is working here, she’s not just passing through. After Lucy leaves, all thoughts of the upgrades disappear. Early the next morning, Lucy is awakened by her phone, and she answers it, which wasn’t a great choice. It’s her dad and he’s not happy. He accuses her of avoiding his calls, which she has been doing, but he doesn’t need to know that. Lucy has plenty to worry about, her father has arranged a marriage for her. Who does this in this day and time? His tone is demanding, and Lucy is finely able to convince him she just needs a little more time away. Will Lucy go through with the arranged marriage that will save her father’s company? Will she be happy with the man her father has chosen, not as a man he thinks is a perfect fit for her, but as a man who will invest in and save his company. Will a friendship develop between Liam and Lucy since he works closely with the tech system he’s set up for Gracie’s clinic? The entire time I was reading this book, I kept feeling second hand nerves for both Liam and Lucy. The minute that he caught one of Lucy’s ferrets as it tried to make a break from its leash, I couldn’t wait to see how their interactions played out.
Liam is the last bachelor in his billionaire friend group, and they readily tease him about when he will settle down. Liam claims that he isn’t ready for all of that, but there is something about Lucy’s shyness that draws him to her.
Lucy is in Ocean Bay having a mini-escape from the life her father has planned for her. Lucy doesn’t know how to tell her father that she doesn’t want to go through with his choices for her life, so she asks for 3 months to do her own thing before she comes back to the life that was planned for her.
Their tentative friendship blossoms into something more, and Liam won me over with how he chose to win Lucy over by buying things for her ferrets. It showed that Liam saw who she was at her core, which made my heartbreak for Lucy knowing what her father had planned for her.
The author did a great job of writing about their friendship to like to love journey. I felt the frustration every time Liam thought he was making progress just for Lucy to shut him down. I felt Lucy’s distress as she thought about having to leave and her sadness when wishing she could stay.
What happens when you realize that while you’re escaping from the life that your father has planned for you, that you’re actually building the life you truly want? And what happens when the life you’re trying to escape from shows up in the life you’re building for yourself? You’ll have to read Falling for the Wrong Billionaire to see how Lucy handles these situations, and what Liam does when he realizes that what’s missing from his life is a shy girl and two rambunctious ferrets.
Liam is the last of his Billionaire friends to still be single. Lucy is taking a break from her regular life in a small sea town before being forced into an arranged marriage. When Liam rushes to help Lucy with one of her escaped ferrets he can’t help but notice the immediate spark he felt towards Lucy.
I loved how although Liam knew from the beginning he wanted Lucy, he gave her space to develop her own feelings and decide what she really wanted. He also never gave up on her, no matter how many reasons she gave him and one big reason as to why it wouldn’t work, Liam was determined to show Lucy how it could work. Liam was patient, kind, caring and so thoughtful towards Lucy. Every girls dream!
Lucy can’t help but be drawn to Liam. She feels the spark too but knows in order to please her father she can’t be with him. I love the growth Lucy has throughout the book. Without saying anything to spoil the book, I loved the ending and especially Lucy’s relationship with Liam and her father.

A cute, sweet romance that has two people finding love in a small town. Josie Frost has written two amazing characters who are both finding themselves. One is escaping family expectations for as long as she can. The other is realizing he wants more out of life than bachelorhood.
When Lucy and Liam first meet, there is a spark, but neither wants to fully embrace it. Not able to stop thinking about one another, I loved how they found each other again. When Liam realizes Lucy works for a client, one he was going to hand off to another consultant, he decides to keep this project to himself. I couldn’t get enough of these two and how they opened each other up and helped each other fully admit what they want.
If you want a cozy, easy read, not only is this the book for you, but Josie is an author you definitely want to read!
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 💙Forced Engagement ✨Finding Yourself 💙Small Town Romance ✨Billionaire MMC 💙Sweet and Meek FMC ✨New to Town 💙Clean Romance
Is a sweet small town, friends to more, opposites attract romance with no cliffhanger. Some of the lines I really like --- "Well, if you need any help wrangling them, I’m good with chaos," --- this is what I need. A chance to breathe, a chance to start over. ---- is telling me to take a chance. To stop running from what feels right. To stop being afraid. --- "do you ever want more than just this life of work?” --- “What if I’m just not strong enough to go after what I want?” --- "you have to let yourself believe that you’re worth it. That you deserve it.” --- "How do I deal with gossip?" I repeat. "Simple. I just act like I don’t hear it." --- What's Bryan and Nate up to? What's Lucy’s dad up to? What's Emma up to? What's Theo up to? These and other questions will all be answered. I loved Lucy and Liam's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and I can't wait to read her next book.
What's not to go wrong, right? A shy, animal-loving heroine seeking solace before an arranged marriage takes her future. Her quiet retreat is upended by Liam —a charismatic tech billionaire who crashes into her world with unexpected warmth and chaos. What begins as an unlikely friendship blossoms into something deeper, but the secrets she withholds threaten to unravel everything..... It's a pacey short novel that follows a friendship group in Ocean Bay. The author has written another sweet escape into a world where love can rewrite even the most rigid scripts :).

“Falling for the Wrong Billionaire” by Josie Frost
A sweet, heartfelt romance—with ferrets and feels—you won’t want to miss. I received a free copy and am sharing my honest thoughts. Shy Lucy escapes to Ocean Bay and meets Liam, a charming tech billionaire who brings warmth and surprises. Their friendship slowly grows into love, until secrets threaten to break them apart
Theo seems like a nice guy and I’m sure he find his forever. I appreciate the fact that Lucy takes time to write her thoughts in a journal and appreciates her journey.
This book was an absolute delight from start to finish! This book drew me in with its engaging writing style and well crafted characters. The plot kept me hooked snd the author did a wonderful job at world building. This book is about a shy animal lover that hides out in Ocean Bay with her rescue pets only to have her quiet world upended by a billionaire. As sparks fly she must decide if she’ll follow her father’s plan or risk everything for love. I would highly recommend.
Sweet and shy Lucy - who's trying to escape her real world problems back home with an arranged engagement/marriage has a chance encounter with Liam the tech billionaire. Their slow to grow friendship eventually blossoms into way more and then comes crumbling. I won't spoil anything, but this story was so cute and I was happy to be back in this world again!
Small town's billionaire romance. Emotional read. Lucy needed time for herself before her arranged marriage. And she didn't expect falling in love with Liam. And she was not ready to tell the truth. I liked the storyline and characters.

Liam feels an instant attraction Lucy when he helps her with her mischievous ferrets. But she has a secret life that even when she and Liam draw closer romantically she doesn't tell him about. I think she'd run back to her father's plans for her life without telling Liam if she could. This was a kisses only romance.
Can be read as a standalone. Some of the characters may overlap with other books. To save her family she's forced to accept the unthinkable. However she is given some time away to come to terms with her future. The last thing she needs is to fall in love while away. Duty vs love He falls first.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. Liam is helping is friends wife get her vet clinic on tech support to help her out. When he finds out Lucy now works there is he willing to install the system himself. Pip and Nibbs the ferrets make the story line fun.
