Missions: Should I Stay, or Should I Go?

Rate this book
Our world needs heroes.

Can you be a hero?

We often live in virtual (and selfish) worlds. Our lives are filled with electronic amusements: smartphones, social networks, computers, movies, TVs, video games, and the latest apps on our tablets. Our emotional needs are met by tearful moments on a movie screen. Our desires for challenge are fulfilled with computer games. Our fantasies are inspired by music videos. Our needs for relationship are fulfilled through online networks. Our “need for the new” is met by zipping through global internet pages or by purchasing the latest gadget. We relate with humanity virtually (even when they're at the same table).

I like electronics, movies, and games. But is this reality? I like watching actors and actresses portray heroes. But can I be a hero? Can you be a hero?

Our world needs heroes. Our world is filled with brokenness, lies and death. Satan has brought destruction. He oppresses people and keeps them from knowing God’s love. There is darkness and suffering, slavery and corruption, sin and sadness.

But there is hope.

Inspiring

It's a very inspiring book. I've been preparing for the mission field. This book and the suggested books to read were very helpful. Thank you.
