In The Galactic Open, Coyle has taken the thrills and excitement of racing and thrust it right into outer space. With strong prose, compelling characters, and a love for things that go fast, Coyle has crafted a story that grabs hold from the first page and won't let go until the last. If you love science fiction, emotional character arcs, or racing, you will love this book!

Loved this story!! I’m not a huge sci fi fan, nor do I enjoying NASCAR or any type of racing, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying Coyle’s writing and characters!! I really enjoyed the dynamic between Killian and Forge and would recommend this book to everyone, even those that would be hesitant based on the genre. Can’t wait to see what else we get from this author!!

A fast-paced, cinematic reading experience. Characters are well developed. The emotional tension is palpable. Would make a great movie or anime. Highest recommendation if you like science fiction or racing.

This is a fun fast-paced story which compelling characters and a fun world to begin to understand. I look forward to seeing if this story continues in future books.

I liked this book. It was a little YA for me but his action sequences are on point. Would love to see a series revolving around his MC and a year of races. Happy I read it. Good debut.
