Acu-Dog A Guide to Canine AcupressureThis 188 page, 4-Color book is the Ultimate HOW-TO Canine Acupressure Book. Tons of charts and photos with detailed discussion of TCM concepts, Assessment, Session Protocol, Hands-on Techniques, and, best of all - 32 Canine Health & Behavioral Acupressure Sessions. ACU-DOG is by Amy Snow & Nancy Zidonis with Foreword by Linda Tellington-Jones.
I absolutely loved this book. I’d go do far to say that it is a “must have’” for any dog lover.
Things that I loved about this book:
1. It’s spiral binding: makes it so easy to massage your dog while the books stays open at the exact page you want. 2. East to read charts: the chi meridians are explained very well and in layman’s terms. 3. Eastern philosophy concept application: concepts, patterns, elements are explained and then you can simply put it into practice. 4. Table of contents: excellent breakdown of the chapters.
What I loved the most was the fact that as soon as I got the book I was able to flip it to the section I needed, Musculoskeletal: Lower Back, and give my vet fearful Rottweiler an acupressure session that visibly relieved his back pain.
This book has worked greatly for our dogs and I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Money well spent.
