The head of the Irish mafia killed my family. Then made me his wife.

Patrick Mahoney erased my bloodline in one brutal night. His answer to my father’s betrayal?

Total annihilation.

But he missed one.

Me.

Instead of finishing the job, he’s claimed me—bound me to him with a ring instead of a
bullet.

Now I’m trapped in a marriage forged in blood and vengeance with my family’s executioner.

For him, it’s strategy, a twisted merger of violence and power. For me, it’s survival.

But grief hasn’t made me meek—it’s made me dangerous. I fight him at every turn—his
cruelty with defiance, his dominance with rebellion.

Yet the more time we spend together, the more our mutual hatred warps into something far
more terrifying.

Because what started with murder and revenge…

Might just end in love.

What a story!!! I was so invested in the story of Sorcha and Patrick. A real and raw Irish mafia romance written by an irish women. This is honestly a fantastic mafia romance. Thank you to both authors for an early copy 🥹

What you get from this book:
🖤 Dark Irish Mafia
🖤 Morally black characters
🖤 Age gap
🖤 She’s forced to marry him
🖤 Mafia family rivals
🖤 Feisty FMC
🖤 Set in Ireland

Patrick is a d**k. Yep you read that right. He’s a grade A Arsehole. But Sorcha is a feisty Irish woman who refuses to bend to his will. When he takes her as a bride after offing her whole family. She despises him, pushes all his buttons and drives him mad. Which is hilarious to watch. Sorcha is exactly the type of woman a man like Patrick needed in his harsh life.

Nothing was as sweet as watching Patrick’s icy heart slowly melt for Sorcha. The way he slowly began to really care for her and grow to love her when he didn’t think he ever could. It was glorious.

The spice was spicing. The romance was a slow burn that felt so right. Once Patrick fell he was a gonner for her. I loved how funny and sassy Sorcha was, how she had a backbone but was still emotional and just unapologetically herself.

I grew so fond of Patrick by the end. When he did right by our girl I was swooning for him 🥹

Such a fantastic start to a new Irish mafia series. I can’t reccommend it enough!

I am so obsessed with this book! This book was amazing!
It had me tearing up, laughing, and shaking my head. The emotions were everywhere. There is so much chaos and drama. This book would be a good show or movie. I am just so speechless!
I feel bad for Sorcha, the pain and all the stuff she deals with is sad. I do love how Patrick changes after he married Sorcha. I was about to cry my eyes out close to the end. There are parts that make this story beautiful.. I love this book so much!

I have been a fan of Lasairiona's for many years and have loved everything she has written. This is the third subgenre she has emersed herself into, and I am here for it! Through Lasairiona, I have heard a lot about Tracie and her work (nothing but praise), and now I know why. These ladies together have just written and absolutely amazing story that kept me glued to my tablet, late at night, eyes fighting closing, brain and body saying I should sleep, but I just couldn't put it down. You know, THAT kind of story!

Lasairiona and Tracie created such interesting and dynamic characters, and I couldn't wait to see what they were going to do next. Patrick and Sorcha were everything I wanted and needed. He was a true Alpha, and she was no pushover. She gave as good as she got, and he seemed to thrive on it. I love a strong female character! The push and pull between these two characters was phenomenal. I'm pretty sure my husband may have thought I was crazy at some points as i was reading (if he heard me) because I may have started talking to all of the characters out loud. Yes, I was that enthralled.

The supporting characters were just as captivating as the main characters. I was just as invested in their stories as I was in Partick and Sorcha's. The groundwork these wonderfully talented women have laid out is mouthwatering and so damn intriguing. I can't wait for the next books in this series.

If I could, I would give this book more than 5 ⭐'s. It was everything I hoped for, but in true Lasairiona fashion (and now I know Tracie's too), it was so much more. This is for sure a must-read. 10 outta 10. Absolutely loved it!

This was such a rollercoaster.
I loved the premise. It was a slight variation on the marriage of convenience trope and I really enjoyed it.
Our FMC was unexpectedly kind of a badass and I loved that journey for her.
Our MMC was the cliche harass mafia boss who softens for his woman, so not groundbreaking, but thoroughly enjoyable nonetheless.
The interactions with the side characters was entertaining and I can’t wait for Liam’s book. The dynamic between the brothers was really fun.
The rollercoaster part of this was the miscommunications throughout. It’s obvious a popular story choice for a reason, particularly in the marriage of convenience trope where the couple don’t know each other well, but it gave me whiplash. Not in a bad way, just in a “maybe I can forgive him, misunderstand something I hear, now he’s dead to me, rather than have a conversation” way. I was screaming, “talk to each other!” in my head on several occasions. But it added to the drama and kept me reading until 1am, so I’m not mad about it.
All in all, a really enjoyable read and I’m invested in this series now.

ARC Review. Thx Lasairiona and Tracie

I'm still speechless and trying to organize my thoughts. What a story, "Holy Cow"
Tracie and Lasairiona have already hinted that this mafia story is really dark, so as a reader, you're wondering how you can handle what's happening to the FMC. You should definitely read the TWs. Nevertheless, the book is excellent. Dark romance at its finest. The dark elements are wonderfully softened by banter and humorous terms. For example: "This 🐈‍⬛ is closed until further notice." 🤣🤣🤣
Great characters, good chemistry between the main characters. Patrick was briefly mentioned in Tracie Delaney's "De Vil's Dynasty", by the way. The reader can experience how the relationship between Patrick and Sorcha develops; you can sense exactly when their feelings shift. The reader is right in the middle of it, suffering with Sorcha, but also rejoicing with her and Patrick. Emotions, action, suspense, banter, and smut—everything is there. Many small details make for a fun read. I couldn't put the book down. Highly recommended. The book has an HEA, no cheating, it ends with a cliffhanger. However, it's not for Sorcha and Patrick; instead, the cliffhanger refers to Liam, Patrick's brother. I can hardly wait for part 2.

ARC Review!

Let’s just say I wasn’t expecting this in my email the other day and now I’m immensely grateful after reading it! HOLY COW! Patrick and Sorcha are perfect. Opposites truly do attract when it comes to them. Even though their marriage came due to terrible circumstances, they both overcame what happened and found love between each other. There was miscommunication in the beginning but when that stopped, it was truly wonderful seeing their love blossom. Just read it!!

Beware of the trigger warnings! There’s a lot of death and very detailed events that some are not comfortable with.

Now I’m curious about Liam’s story 😉

4 Star Review Stolen Rival (The Stolen Series #1) by Tracie Delaney & Lasairiona Lewis

I will be the first to admit that the Mafia genre is not one I particularly relate or choose to read but I decided to try this one.

This is Patrick Mahoney and Sorcha’s story and what a story it was. It was well written and compelling, with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in.

When Patrick decimated Sorcha’s family in retaliation for betrayal it sets in motion a chain of events neither saw coming.

The power of revenge and defiance is heavy in this gritty book and it was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic of the real as it progressed.

I have no idea which author was responsible for which character or chapter and that is a sign of a good collaboration.

🌶🌶 - Spice Level

Sorcha and Patrick were quite the pair after his clan killed her family in retaliation for their takeover. Mafia be Mafia'ing if you know what I mean. Sorcha is left behind wounded and later kidnapped by Patrick for his replacement bride. She goes from grieving her lost family to her new, found family in this book, and the ride consisted of her brattiness, witt, and street smarts she'd learned from her brothers/father.

Patrick may have been cold and calculating, but she broke down all his walls when she challenged him and even tried to unalive him a few times. The spice was just right to compliment the story. This book is the first in the series and really tees up the next books with potential crossover series either author may be writing.

Stolen Rival is mafia-romance perfection. Patrick is the ultimate jerk, Sorcha is fierce to her core, and together they’re an explosive mix of vengeance, power, and dangerously twisted chemistry. What starts as revenge and a forced marriage quickly spirals into something much more addictive—and I couldn’t look away.

Enemies to lovers, feuding families, Irish mafia vibes—this book checks every single box. The writing is sharp, emotional, and completely unputdownable. I’ve read everything by Lasairiona Lewis and Tracie Delaney, and this collaboration might just be their best yet.

Do yourself a favor: preorder now. Trust me—you’ll be as impatient as I am for the sequel!

When Tracie Delaney writes a book, I know or partake in writing one, and I know it would be an amazing book. I love how this story was very rationally written. Like Sorcha not really forgiving Patrick but understanding his point and accepting it. The end got my heart, and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

P.S. After an annoying, slight reading slump, this was the book that I didn't know I needed. I would like to thank the authors for their amazing work that got me out of my reading slump.

Gritty, dark, Irish mafia story. At times so dark (read the trigger warnings) I didn't know why I (or Sorcha) could love Patrick.

But excuse the gushing because I loved the story, I loved Sorcha (total strong badass FMC), I loved the side characters and I even learned to love Patrick too.

If you dare, this story will keep you gripped until it's done and you will feel bereft that you have to wait for more.

What a collab ladies. You aced it. Thanks for the ARC, this is my honest review.

I absolutely loved this story! Patrick, the head of the Irish mafia, needs a wife on his wedding day to take full control from his uncle, but things don’t go as planned. Sorcha wakes up in the hospital with no idea why until she returns home, and that’s where their story begins. Sorcha is a sassy, strong-willed woman, and Patrick will have his hands full trying to get her to follow his lead. Will they make it? I can’t wait for book two!

This book has been living rent free in my head since I finished it!
We have Patrick the MMC and Sorcha who is the FMC. Patrick and Sorcha are from rival mafia families and this is an enemies to lovers. The push and pull between these two is on point, it's so good. You know an author/s has done their job when they are pulling various emotions out of you at the same time! Sorcha has some cracking one liners, I just love her. This is a fantastic start to a new series and I can't wait for the next book. Lasairiona and Tracie write so well together that this book is still living rent free in my head!

Sorcha's entire family is killed, and she is injured. She decides to leave but doesn't get past the front door when her family's murderer puts a gun to her head. Instead of killing her, he decides to keep her. He needs a wife, and she becomes his choice. He got revenge on her family for killing his fiancé and her entire family. Now, she will do his bidding, or he will kill her and her last remaining relative. This is the start of a well written mafia romance. Good primary and secondary characters and a storyline that keeps you reading to the end.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
mafia violence detailed on page including: shootings and murders, loss of loved ones. The FMC is held against her will after being kidnapped at gunpoint. The MMC does threaten and cause bodily harm to the FMC -she threatens him right back.

We are greeted with bloodshed, and I was instantly ready for MORE! The Mahoney Family is looking to unite families against the common enemy. Patrick took it one step further and married INTO the family. I mean, he made it messy first. The fact that Sorcha was his choice?! To be fair, she said she would do anything he wanted. She went from deathbed to his bed. And it was perfectly delicious until the end! Sorcha had a fire burning inside her, and she wasn’t about to let Patrick put it out. Not that he ever would, that man was way too obsessed with it! With her! Patrick Mahoney is irredeemable. Every threat, every act of violence. I loved it! Sorcha is the challenge he was needing. And she made sure it was as difficult as possible! (LOVED!) My favorite mafia cliche was included: the woman he supposedly hated was in danger, and suddenly he was a melted puddle. There are two more Mahoney brothers and I’m SO looking forward to getting to properly know them! And since they’re so close, that means always having more time with them!

Tracie Delaney is a new-to-me author, but Lasairiona is a FAVORITE of mine. She’s my hockey romance queen. And now that she’s branched into mafia?! YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!

My Favorite Quotes:
• “Try to run as much as you want. You’re mine now. There is no escape.”
• “You’re just going to leave him there?” “Yes.” “My God.” “Your God. Indeed.”
• “Every orgasm you have from here forward belongs to me. Do you understand?”
• “I am not weak.” “You’re my weakness.”
• “I am your wife. My place is by your side.” “Your place is living and breathing, not riddled with bullets.”
• “You deserve the world. You only need to decide what that looks like, then go out and take it.”
• “I think it’s time we made our goodbyes so I can take you upstairs and remind you who you f!cking belong to.”
• “So wet for me, wife, so needy.”
• “Who do you belong to? For f!ck’s sake, answer the question so I can fill you with my cum.”
• “There is only you. You’re my everything.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A brutal, fiery, enemies-to-lovers masterpiece I devoured!

This book hooked me from the very first line and refused to let go. It’s dark, emotional, and absolutely addictive—the kind of story that makes you forget everything else until you hit that last page.

Patrick Mahoney is the monster who destroyed everything—then put a ring on it. He’s ruthless, cold, and unapologetically in control, the kind of anti-hero you want to hate… and yet, I couldn’t look away. Watching him clash with the heroine—who refuses to roll over and instead meets his cruelty with her own fire—was everything I crave in a dark romance. Their push and pull is brutal, raw, and completely intoxicating.

What really got me was the emotional layers beneath all the violence and power games. This isn’t just a marriage of vengeance—it’s survival, defiance, and the terrifying realization that the line between hate and love is razor thin. One moment I was gritting my teeth at Patrick’s dominance, the next I was fanning myself and whispering, “Oh no… I’m falling for him too.”

If you love enemies-to-lovers with mafia grit, scorching chemistry, and a heroine who’s just as dangerous as the man who owns her, Stolen Rival will ruin you in the best way. I’m still reeling from it—and already itching for the next book.

Tropes

🖤 Arranged Marriage
🖤 Enemies to Lovers
🖤 Billionaire Age Gap
🖤 Set in Ireland

This book deserves more than a four star.
But I cannot give it anymore because of the first Sorcha POV where she only had a tenner to get from Drogheda to Leixlip and managed it in a taxi. This literally made me laugh - because it is not even remotely plausible unless this book was based in the 80-90's but that was rebuked by the mention of Brother Hubbard.
Aside from this little slip up by the author who I can only guess could not be Irish and write that sentence in this book, the slow burn love/hate relationship between MMC and FMC was pretty phenomenal. Although I did find some POVs were repetitive at times.
This MMC was pretty dark in terms of his behaviour - his mindset as a human being was very dark gray/black for the first half of this book which was surprising to me. I had expected this to almost be love at first sight and it just wasn't at all. Oh how wrong was I?
The FMC was feisty with a bark and bite! I loved it - exactly what was needed to balance this book out.
Overall, great mafia romance. Unexpected in parts which was wonderful as mafia romances can all seem very similar but this had some niche elements which made it different in a good way.

Stolen Rival is everything I want in a mafia romance—intense, gritty, swoony, and completely addictive! Lasairiona Lewis and Tracie Delaney knocked it out of the park with this first installment in the Stolen Series, and I was hooked from the very first page.

The Mahoney brothers are dark, dangerous, and unforgettable, and this book focuses on the eldest brother, Patrick. As head of the family, Patrick is used to power, control, and ruthless decisions. When his family retaliates against a rival mafia clan, he thinks the job is finished—until he discovers one survivor: Sorcha, the youngest and most innocent member of the enemy family.

To solidify his control, Patrick strongarms Sorcha into becoming his wife. What follows is a push-and-pull marriage of power, revenge, and undeniable chemistry. Sorcha is fierce, clever, and unafraid to stand toe-to-toe with Patrick. And while he’s not a man who tolerates defiance, he can’t ignore the fire in her. From the beginning, you feel there’s something more between them—something real. Watching Patrick slowly soften and learning to share control with his bold new bride was perfection.

The tension, the passion, and the high-stakes family drama were chef’s kiss. And just when I thought I couldn’t be more invested, the ending teases the next brother’s story—and I am already counting the days until I can dive back into this world.

Lasairiona Lewis is one of my go-to authors because she creates characters that feel alive, and paired with Tracie Delaney, this duo delivered a mafia romance that I’ll be recommending to everyone. Stolen Rival was a thrill ride from start to finish, and I can’t wait for more of the Mahoney brothers!

Stolen Rival is book one in The Stolen series. It is a contemporary, dark, mafia, forced proximity, forced marriage, enemies to lovers romance with a sassy and strong FMC and a k!ll happy mafia man with a bad attitude for a MMC.

This was a fantastic read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved Sorcha's spunk and determination, and I also really loved Patrick's sense of family. Their story was entertaining and addictive and I honestly could not get enough.

I adored both main characters. The banter between Sorcha and Patrick is amazing. They are oil and water to begin with, but once they give in to their chemistry and the draw to each other, it is hot.

The writing, pace, flow, plot, and characters are all awesome, as are the character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building. If a dark mafia romance with a spitfire FMC is your jam, then I'd definitely recommend this book.

Enemies to Lovers

The Mahoneys & the McCarthy’s are mafia family enemies. A marriage brings them together. Will it last?

We start the book with Patrick Mahoney the eldest brother of the Mahoney mafia clan getting married to the O’Sullivan family. Another mafia family.
Guns start blazing and his wife to be gets murdered including her family and guests. Patrick is on a rampage and finds out who has ordered this.

Sorcha McCarthy’s whole family is killed by the Mahoney’s due to them killing Patrick’s fiancé at their wedding. She is now a prisoner in his own home. She has no one.

Patrick needs to marry and claim his inheritance. He has claimed Sorcha.

The story is amazing. I loved every second of this book. I can’t wait for the next book which is about Liam (Patrick’s brother).

Great start to a new series, by one new to me author (Tracie Delaney) and one author I have read many books from (Lasairiona Lewis) I was hooked from chapter 1 and found myself quickly in a love/hate relationship with Patrick. I was a bit hesitant with how young Sorcha was, but growing up in a mafia family made her one strong and tough young lady. I enjoyed following the growth of both the main characters as the book progressed and how they were the same but stronger by the end. I enjoy when books that are written by two authors and are so seamless that you can't tell who is writing which parts and this book flowed so smoothly and was well written. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I loved Patrick one chapter and then wanted to help Sorcha retrieve that steak knife in the next! 🤣. The push and pull between them was great!

Sorcha is so strong and loving. She falls into an impossible situation that leaves her marrying the man that wiped out 98% of her family. Patrick is gruff to say the least and as I was reading I kept thinking I can’t wait for the groveling to begin! He had a lot of atone for and that doesn’t include what he did to her family.

These two were so fun to read. The banter and antics were so entertaining. The spice is mild and not at all the main focus of the story.

This was a slow starter for me, however the action did increase and the characters became more likeable at around the 50% mark. Also the inner ramblings seemed to decrease a bit which helped.
The dialogue was great and I would have loved more of it.
I also got to like Scorcha more and more as the story progressed. Her character grew and she became the partner that Patrick needed.
Patrick is a typical head of a mafia family, he shows no mercy and gets the job done. It’s a real adjustment for the three brothers to suddenly have this feisty female taking up their home space.
An interesting start and now I’m looking forward to Liam’s story next.

Stolen Rival is a Mafia Romance and is book 1 in the Stolen Series. It features Sorcha and Patrick. Sorcha's family were killed by Patrick's family but she was left behind but wounded. Patrick needs a wife so kidnapps her and forces her to marry him. Patrick is ruthless and mean but Sorcha doesn't make it easy on him.
I loved this story, the writing is fantastic and the story flows great. Patrick was cold and I loved watching Sorcha break down his walls. Sorcha was great, watching her challenge him was fun to read and even though they are the complete opposite of each other they are perfect together.
Loved seeing the start of Liams story and can't wait to read it.
