All Nazzar wanted was a bride... So he crawled out of hell to claim her.
As first commander of legions of the Underworld, Nazzar was all too familiar with pain and death, but he wanted more out of his existence. And escaping his domain to the human world led him to her.
Dolores Villanueva.
One glance and he knew. She was his to mate. His to claim. His to steal.
And Nazzar would do whatever it took to convince the human to stay.
All Dolores wanted was adventure... but there's a gargoyle worshipping at her feet instead.
The Last thing Dolores Villanueva expected out of her boring, yet cozy life was to be stolen away by a gargoyle. But her world was turned upside down the moment she awoke in the Underworld with an enthusiastic and frightening monster begging for a taste of her.
Soon, the life of action she only dreamt of became a demon-filled nightmare from which she couldn't escape.
Trapped in a cave without the basic necessities was the least of her worries. Because Nazzar was hungry, feral, and he claimed he was never letting her go.

It's horrible how much I squealed in delight when that first MINE dropped or when he mentions how voluptuous, fluffy and full her curves feel tempting him, or when she's jacking and squeezing his horns like a d!ck, or when he says WIFE all growly and makes her cum with expert precision. And that was by 11%. This book starts as a fun good monster erotica.
The biggest disappointment was how Dolores responds to being ladynapped. I meannnn would I do what she did when faced with a sexy, large gargoyle in possession of a vibrating dildo tongue who wants to wife me up, give me gifts and love on me....ahhh no. 😄 Like Dolores baybee whatchu doing and why? She gave a reason but I rejected that mess 👏🏾. Then it took her too long to get it together 😄. Dolores may have caused some dragged out conflict but our resident-Cinnabon Rock Daddy is the best reason to stay.
Nazzar is the perfectly drawn character. He exudes power and sexy dominance. He does that whole "whatever you liiike. Whatever you wish" thing to a T. As a character I was intrigued from out the gate until dun..dun...dunnnnn. The dreaded miscommuniction trope rears it's ugly head and immediately slows down the spice 😭. I was spoiled by the beginning and I wanted more. 😩
Once Dolores works out her issues 😅 and gets with the program 😁 the story picks back up. Soooo does it deliver:
This book warned you that it's insta everything, and you should heed that warning! From page one this book starts and does not stop bringing the InstaLust vibes. I got a bit of whiplash because of how fast this book moved. And when I say it does not stop, I mean it does, not, stop!
Nazzar is a gargoyle from the underworld who comes out with the sole purpose of finding and claiming a wife. When he sees Dolores, he decides that she's his mate, and promptly steals her and devours her. Dolores's character was so funny with how she handled the situation because while she is experiencing a physical satisfaction with him, she's also giving herself whiplash with the understanding that he has in fact taken her and she knows not one damn thing about him. Like, thank you for the orgasms but can I have your name first?
This book was funny because of how quickly it moved. If you want quick, lusty vibes then you will love this book.
Stolen by the Gargoyle is a fast-burn, full of insta-love & insta-lust and you’ll be hooked from page one.
This spin-off of Lourdes & the Mafia gives us glimpses of Lourdes, Ramiel, Kane, Lorenzo, and even Queenie & the Krakens 👀
Meet Nazzar: first general of the underworld, demon commander of the lord of death’s legions of hell. He and his brothers have always felt alone, so they descend to earth to claim their wives. Only Nazzar succeeds… dragging Dolores into the underworld with him.
But Dolores? She refuses to bend. She challenges him, forces him to see where he’s wrong, and demands he understand her world.
It’s fiery, it’s funny, it’s SPICY AF 🌶️🔥—and the tension never lets up. The author knows exactly how to build that heat and deliver every single time.
LOVED IT 🥰 This novella saved me from my reading slump btw. It is fast paced, spicy, and fun!
The story is full of spice and is insta-lovey but this is clearly stated in the beginning so there were no surprises. I would read some chapters every night before bed and would find myself cackling at the interactions between the FMC and the MMC. It’s also very cute like yes she gets stolen by a gargoyle but what happens after will have you giggling and kicking your feet.
I want to say a huge thank you to the author for writing this story, she definitely let me live vicariously through the characters and gave childhood me a gift. If you watched the 90s Disney animated show Gargoyles then you’ll know what I mean. 😉
This is my first story by this author, and I’m pleasantly surprised. I usually avoid insta-love romances because they can lack depth, but this one doesn’t. The worldbuilding is quick but solid, and the characters feel fully developed. Nazzar’s single-minded focus on making Dolores his bride hooked me immediately. Their connection is fast but doesn’t feel hollow, and the chemistry is intense. This story doesn’t shy away from dub-con. It’s front and center, so know that going in. If you like paranormal romance with a determined gargoyle hero, plenty of spice, and a “he falls first” dynamic, this is a strong pick. It’s fast, intense, and delivers more than I expected. This is best for readers who enjoy fast-burn paranormal romances with alpha heroes, high heat, and dub-con dynamics. It fits those in the mood for something intense, spicy, and emotionally charged rather than soft and slow.
I enjoyed the story for what it was. Besides the book cover, it was a little difficult to picture the FMC at times. The back and forth with the cultural miscommunication was the opening. The SA in the beginning doesn't get tested with the same gravitas as the kidnapping. Especially when a plot point becomes about consent. Oral sex is still sex.
It bothered me that this was considered dubious consent. It wasn't dubious. Regardless of acceptance after the fact, like her kidnapping, it doesn't change the fact it was done without her consent. Let's be clear about it.
That did make the story less enjoyable for me. A missed opportunity that also felt like dodging the fact that the MMC did indeed already assault the FMC.
Tropes: Monster romance Gargoyle x Human Protective MMC Bonded mates Insta-lust Fast burn Dual POV
Short and spicy but still manages to squeeze in some good character development. Although this feels like insta-love it's not entirely without some buildup. This novella has you on a roller coaster from the start. We start with spice, then get a bit of danger, and of course sweet moments. The sweet moments from Nazzar aren't what you expect from a gargoyle from the Underworld, but that makes it all the more enjoyable. But of course, you also get the protective side that gets you swooning and hoping for more "my wife" moments.
Overall, you're gonna enjoy this book if you want spice and a sexy gargoyle MMC. If you read Lourdes and the Mafia, you also get some great cameos. I would highly recommend this book for people who want to try monster romance, who enjoy insta-love/lust vibes, and bonded mates.
Thank you to the author for giving me an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own and offered voluntarily.
I truly enjoy Aleera Anaya Ceres and her alter ego Jade Hernandez writing. You can just tell this is what she loves to do.
With Stolen by the Gargoyle my disney dreams came true. I loved Nazzar, loved the idea of the world, How fun it was to read and see experience his working mind. How he viewed the world and learned. And Dolores, girl, same.
The spice in this was sooooo good. The world descriptions and plot build entertaining and enough for me.
This was a good read. I think the pacing and the way things unfolded could have been better. Miscommunication is a device that is pretty hit or miss and even with the warning in the author’s note I still found it annoying. I just don’t think it made sense with the order of events. It was still sweet and at times funny but I felt like some things would have been better if done differently.
I absolutely loved this story! All the best things to give you a great day- smut, monster smut, a sexy, confident MFC that is actually realistic, and well written! Oh! It’s short enough to make it a fantastic read between epic novels. HEA FTW!
This was a fun, quick, spicy read! I throughly enjoyed this book from start to finish! I haven’t read anything from this author before but now I want to check out her other works! 10/10 stars
Short, fun read with good spice. I'm a sucker for Demon romances and this one did not disappoint. Fast paced with a strong FMC and a gargoyle demon of a cinnamon roll as MMC.
Thanks to the Author for the ARC. All comments are my own.
Quick and cute! Nazzar was so sweet! I liked how he catered to Dolores! Definitely hit and did it quickly! Looking forward to the other books in the series!
⭐️ARC REVIEW⭐️ This was a nice shorter read that I enjoyed some of the more traditional gargoyle tropes of stoney fun, flying, protectiveness with new twists of demonic heritage and underworld politics. Overall, if you like instalust, some dubious consent due to cultural misunderstanding that result in a consent king and his groveling actions.
I had no read the other books connected to this series and I didn't feel like I missed that much because of it but it did intrigue me about picking up the author's other books.
I love gargoyle romance. What can I say? And a Gargoyle written by a Latinx author? Even better! Nazzar is such a loveable gargoyle. Any "faults" he has is all because of cultural misunderstandings he has with Dolores, his fated mate. Because really, he falls in love with her the moment he sets eyes on her. She is wifey to him from the first, and of course, she is destined to fall in love with him.
Add in the passion these two share that just about made me beet red, and this is one steamy novella. Of course, you'd love to see the relationship develop like in a full-length novel, but I feel like Ceres does a wonderful job of making you fall for the characters without having to sacrifice a good storyline. Now, I'm just patiently waiting for book 2 in the series!
