This book as been so long in coming and I’d hyped it up so much in my mind that I was actually a little scared to read it in case it didn’t match up. Although by now I should know that Charissa Gracyk ALWAYS surpasses your expectations. And this book is everything I’d imagined and so much more.
I’ve loved Addie since her appearance as Ryland’s sister. She always seemed like such a kick ass character and this proved so true once this stunning series started. But to watch her story up close and personal was such an honour.
Addie is a woman with a backbone of steel and a sharp tongue and attitude to match. She’s everything we all secretly wished we were. Is she on the wrong side of the law …… depends on your view point I guess. But whether what she and her found family do the wrong or right thing seems irrelevant once you get swept up in her whirlwind life.
I love how she can go toe to toe with Cole. Two strong characters coming together with explosive chemistry and a surprising bond that stands the tests out in front of it. It’s obvious that letting her guard down is foreign to Addie, so it’s that bit more beautiful to watch her walls lower to allow Cole entry.
Cole is a dominant man. Determined to bring law breakers to justice. His past shaping the black and white way he sees the world. My heart ached for him

Such a compelling and achingly beautiful read that keeps you on the tips of your toes from the first sentence, right to the last word. There’s so much depth and emotions that run through the bones of this story it will leave you breathless.
Can’t recommend highly enough. There seriously aren’t enough stars that would even give a hint as to just how wonderful and unforgettable this read is.

What a delicious enemies-turned-lovers book! It’s a twist on the “good girl likes bad boy” plot, and I enjoyed every bit of it. He’s a cop, and she’s a thief. They intrigue each other, but there's very little trust. It was interesting to see the attraction and energy between them change as the plot developed.
Addie followed in her mom’s footsteps as a thief. She is calm, cool, and in control when there’s a job to do, but she has a lack of control whenever Detective Cole Vaughn is on her trail. Addie is having way too much fun with the cat-and-mouse game she's playing with her detective.
Cole is eager to know all he can about Addie and not just to arrest her. His interest is definitely personal. She challenges everything he’s worked for to uphold the law. Working together to prevent a major jewelry theft brings them close together, and he’s not upset about it at all.
The heat quickly turns up between them. The competition between them is fun to read. Addie and Cole are combustible and burn up every surface they can when they get their hands on each other. They are an unlikely pair, but they work because Gracyk went beyond the intimacy to give each character a backstory that made their relationship feel personal.
The Ring of Thieves series has been an excellent read, but this book had something extra. The vulnerability and the trust that develop between the main characters are special. I’m looking forward to what Charissa Gracyk has next for us.

Heart stopping action, fabulous characters you'll love, and an opposites attract romance, what more could you want, and Ms. Gracyk delivers in her unputdownable writing style.
This was a fantastic read I virtually inhaled. I loved the way Addie and Cole danced around each other in the books preceding this one, their chemistry undeniable, and in this we get to see them working together to protect a priceless, historic necklace and have things all go wrong in an action sequence that will have you on the edge of your seat. Toss in the spicy romance and a phone call to Cole's mother that is comedy gold and this has it all.

This was the perfect book to warm you up on a cold snowy weekend!!! I think this may be the spiciest book I’ve read from Charissa Gracyk and I’m here for it!!! She jumps right in with the sexual tension between one of Denver’s finest and the beautiful thief he has been perusing for multiple reasons. Their banter, the tension it is all perfect! The heart stopping adrenaline rushes she throws in just to make sure you are paying attention! Perfection! Every book I’ve read by Charissa Gracyk becomes my new favorite, and I have to say “Romancing the Thief” is going to be a hard one to beat!

Ready for Addie and Cole’s story?
Whew, is my meek description for non stop action in this story.
Cole is absolutely just good. He’s morally very upright in his beliefs and his goal is to stop “bad guys.” There is a personal aspect to his job in relation to stopping thieves. All said, he initially comes across as very married to his job and a workaholic who *maybe* doesn’t take the best care of himself.
Addie is awesome, sure of herself and she’s living remembering her Mom who taught her everything she knows about heists. Addie runs a ring of thieves, but is slowly coming into the light with her business and her team.
When I say buckle up, BUCKLE UP! This story pulls you in and it’s difficult to put it down. Cole basically blackmails Addie into helping him gather evidence against thieves and also pinpoint a theft being planned for a priceless necklace, she complies, but an attempt on her life leads to cohabitation for Cole and Addie. Without giving away the story, these two are combustable!
Great characters along with excellent, edge of your seat storytelling make this a must read!

December 15, 2025Romancing the Thief by Charissa Gracyk was a fabulous read! I loved the push and pull between Addie and Cole. The enemies to lovers and opposites attract elements were on point! The intimate scenes were spicy and heightened that connection between the two. The action scenes were excellent and kept me on the edge of my seat. This is my favorite Ring of Thieves book so far! Romancing the Thief is not a story to be missed!

Book 3 from the Ring of Thieves series is fantastic!
Addison Mills is the Lady Boss & Cole freaking Vaughn is the bane of her life -aka the detective determined to lock her up – not in the good way. Addie is the older sister of Ryland from the Force Protection Delta Series. In this book, we learn more about their mother Angel. The Angel-isms at the beginning of Addie's chapters give us insight to the code Addie lives by. Detective Cole Vaughn has been after Addie and her crew since the start of this series. His motto is that every thief needs to be locked up in prison and it is his mission to make that happen.
In this story the two must work together. Addie needs to protect her team and Cole needs to protect a priceless necklace. Who better to stop a thief but a master thief? As Cole & Addie work together – close proximity breeds romance and a better understanding of each other. Addie learns why Cole only see things in black and white. And Cole learns that Addie and her crew may be thieves, but they have a strict moral code. By the end; he certainly appreciates all those shades of gray (pun intended).
As for the spice factor: Oh My Gosh! These two are off the Scoville Scale. Keep a glass of ice cold water nearby. Whether you drink it or wear it is up to you. Cole & Addie will certainly approve! LOVE THIS BOOK – 5 stars!

Addie Mills is a thief more in the business of recovering stolen items than stealing for profit. Cole Vaughn is a Denver detective determined to catch her. The only problem is what he will do when he finally catches her? Mistrust rhymes with lust and these two have both in spades. In order to protect a multi-million dollar necklace once worn by Marie Antoinette, Cole and Addie have to put aside the mistrust and work together, Keeping the cool jewels from being stolen may just be easier than keeping their hands off each other. When someone tries to kill Addie, Cole's protective instincts have them spending a lot of time together. The plan takes a twist or two, causing that mistrust to put them both in danger.
Gracyk continues to bring the storytelling to a higher level with each book she writes. The combination of action, banter and fantastic relatable characters make for a great read. The romance and smexy times are not overdone or to fill the page, but to enhance the story.

The story we’ve all been waiting for during the two beginning books to this series – between Addie and Cole (a detective who wants to arrest her and everyone else at her company)!! It definitely did not disappoint. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the other two books in the series though, you won’t be lost plot-wise (definitely recommend you read the other two books though - they are great!)
This book begins with Detective Cole blackmailing Addie to help him prevent the theft of a necklace. The tension between them has been building since the first book of this series and quickly builds as they try to work together and ignore their attraction. You also learn more about Cole’s background and what is driving him to arrest Addie and her crew. Add to that some suspense because someone is trying to kill Addie and you have a fun story with lots of unexpected twists and turns that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Overall, a great romantic suspense story that I highly recommend. I received an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my true and honest opinion.

Goodness! Cole has been chasing after Addie for a year. OK, supposedly he is trying to catch her committing a crime so that he can arrest her and her team. Yeah right! The way these two bicker and push each other's buttons makes it obvious to everyone else that there is some serious chemistry between them.
When Cole manipulates Addie into helping him, the sparks between them practically had my kindle on fire. The only question was whether they would finally give in or continue to fight against the attraction.
I loved Cole and Addie's story and was rooting from the start for the two of them to find a way to be together. There was a nice balance of suspense, danger, the way they challenged each other, the lighter moments (especially the phone call with Cole's mother), and the romance.
When Cole manipulates Addie into helping him, the sparks between them practically had my kindle on fire. The only question was whether they would finally give in or continue to fight against the attraction.
I loved Cole and Addie's story and was rooting from the start for the two of them to find a way to be together. There was a nice balance of suspense, danger, the way they challenged each other, the lighter moments (especially the phone call with Cole's mother), and the romance.

The boss lady and the detective just about broke me in all the best ways! A devastatingly delightful suspense filled romance with enough love-hate fueled chemistry to practically singe the pages right off, and every second of it was fan-flipping-tastic! I am telling you, when it comes to cinema-esque adventure romance this author really brings it, allllll of it! I know I have a habit of saying each book of hers I read I love more than the last, but this one might have taken the top spot (for now) simply because of the grade A enemies to lovers fodder for my hungry reader heart.
If it isn't clear I 1000% recommend picking this one up, but good luck putting it down. And honestly, that is one of the best things about this authors highly addictive writing style.

Wow i just loved Cole and Addie. Sparks were flying between these two.
Thief Addie Mills and her team of thieves are blackmailed into helping detective Cole Vaughn catch other thieves in the act.
The dynamic between Addie and Cole was filled with friction, tension, flirting and great banter. Their goals were coming from opposite directions but were in sync.
I loved the team spirit and the back up they offered. I also loved Cole's mum and the conversation they had on the phone. Couldn't help but laugh.
Such a fantastic book. The plot was so good and the characters were making this story believable. Just amazing!

What I loved most about this book is the view we had of this side of Ryder's family. I remember reading Ryder's book and his strained relationships with his mother and his sister. I knew that it had improved--especially in light of what kind of person his father ended up being. However, I really enjoyed the relationship between Addie and Angel and how they got to where they are, even though Angel is deceased. But the love and loyalty of the crew and the "Angel-isms" were truly touching. That is one thing you can count on in a Charissa Gracyk book: plenty of heart. I enjoy where this series is going and recommend it to all romance lovers.

Detective Cole Vaughn has been a thorn in Addison’s side for a while now, trying to bring down her team without success. He approaches her with what appears to be a plea for her help, but things are not always exactly as they seem. Along the way, of course, they both catch feelings as that animosity turns into a different kind of passion, but there are many, many obstacles to any happily ever after for these two from different sides of the fence. The sparring is fun, the passion is hot, the action of all kinds is exciting, and it’s another great story in this awesome series.

Romancing the Thief by Charissa Gracyk was a wonderful story but if you have read any of Charissa Gracyk books, you know hers always are!
A detective and a thief, how totally opposite can you get? Addie and Cole are perfect examples of opposites!!
In this book, they must work together to save a necklace but also Cole must be vigilant because now Addie could be in danger.

I wasn’t sure how Charissa was going to make this romance work out. A thief and the cop in charge of capturing her make it to the other side!? But, I should have known that she would find a way. Each book I read becomes my next favorite. There were some twists and turns but it made the story line even more exciting.
