CHANCE. FREAKING. LAWTON!!!! With each book in the series, the men get growlier and hotter and the women get sassier and I am here for it all!!! Alanna is Jax's little sister and Drift is Jax's MC brother and best friend. I am actually a huge fan of brothers best friend when done right and this was done just right. Drift battled with his feelings for Alanna and by no means wanted to cross Jax or bring her into his darkness. But when the heart knows, there is nothing you can do to stop it from claiming that person.

When Alanna is being stalked and her brother is on his honeymoon, Drift is the one that is assigned to keep her safe until the threat is eliminated. Being in a safe house, Drift can only hold back Alanna for so long and when the tether breaks.... gahhhh its sooo good!!!! The chemistry and heat coming off of these two was scorching hot.

There was a good amount of drama and suspense and it hooked me from the get go. I loved the moment that Jax finally understood the depth of Drift's love for Alanna. He couldn't stay mad for too long. All the brothers and their old lady's were amazing as always. I especially loved the epilogue and I am not no secretly hoping for a 2nd generation. I would love to see these men when their little girls find their forever.

I liked Drift; he is dangerous, a human weapon like Jax described him. He’s also one of the originals of the Redline King’s MC, along with Jax, Kane and Edge. He was always trying to remain in control because he knew what happened when he lost it. He really is the brooding, “stay away from me”, silent guy. He keeps pushing Alanna away even though he really wants her, because she is Jax’s little sister. But he’s in trouble because Alanna has always had a crush on him.

They knew each other since she was 9 years old and Jax was 17. Since the last time he saw her, they meet again in Jax and Lark’s wedding. And she’s all grown up. We don’t get to read their meet and what they talked. Only a glimpse of them in the previous book during the wedding. But we don’t get what passed through their minds and what their conversations were.

As in other brothers in this series, Drift doesn’t act fast enough when another man touched Alanna, in this case Ethan, her research partner that was contracted to befriend her and steal important information. He just glared and hoped they got the message. He didn’t, she was a job to him. Btw, touches meaning putting his hand on the small of her back or on her elbow.

It made me mad when he told her that he was no one’s knight and no one’s happily ever after. It’s like telling her that he can’t make her happy, he can’t offer her happiness and forever. Ugh. Why did she continue to like him? At least, she wasn’t a pushy girl and left him alone concentrating on her research instead. Good girl!!

The whole issue of this book was too confusing to me. What the hell were the bad guys exactly doing? I just understood that they were stealing money from those they targeted, they researched them to find compromising evidence to blackmail them. How they did it and what was really going on after that, Idk, too confusing to me.
And why did they have to drive to a point and change vehicles with Tyre?? Why couldn’t they just drive from the clubhouse to the beach house? If it was to lose andy tail, driving a motorcycle is no way to hide from the outer world. This exchange was silly to me. Especially when they both drove out from the same place, the clubhouse.

If he’s so meticulous, and her safety is so on the line… HOW COME HE DIDN’T CHECK IF HER PHONE WAS OFF? And several sentences below, Jax shouted the exact same thing I was thinking. Yet again, why was that important if nothing happened; they never tracked them there. I was waiting for some bad guy to surprise them.

Ok. This is not the first time I read a book that praises an apartment’s security and turns out it isn’t that great. She was moved to that apartment, a building the King’s owned because they could check on her and had good security. Yeah, but Ethan got to her front door easily; and, later on, her apartment was trashed!!! Oh come on!! Then you say that there is no proof it was Ethan??!! I mean, Drift saw on the camera feeds when Ethan walked to her apartment before; but after that, the cameras didn’t work? How was it that no one could see who broke into her apartment? And let’s not forget that her brother, Jax, is the best hacker there is!!!

“You’re not the boss of me” is so overused lately that it makes me cringe every time I read it now. In this book, Drift says 3 times: “you have no idea what you do to me”; and one of those instances she answered: “yes I do”. Why repeat it so many times? And twice, the same phrase is mentioned: “I was the last man anyone would see in their mirror—and the one nobody saw after that.” It was weird that this book had those repeated lines, not caught in editing.

CONCLUSION… I like Drift. I liked the fight with Jax and the banter afterwards, and that there was men crying or almost crying. Loved the Jax Jr. “prank” (iykyk - it was Drift and Jax together in one). Drift, after he caves, he is all in, the alpha, JP, OTT man I love. And those moments when he dressed as a Redline King and his mindset and visage changed into the violent one… phew 😮‍💨♥️. She was a good one too. She finally made him crack; and was a strong independent woman. She also stands up to his brother. And has a beautiful relationship with Lark, sisters. Love!!

Also, I love when other characters re-appear. Kane and his calm voice. Jax, which is present from Book 1. I love it. Wish I could see the girl’s interactions more though.

I liked the book. Except those details that made me roll my eyes. I recommend it!!

Quickie Review: This was another fantastic, and oh so spicy addition to the Redline Kings series. Drift owned me with his broody self and the way he wanted Alanna. Knowing good and well he could never have her. But we all know once these Davenport men set their sights on their woman, nothing will stop them. So it was a treat to see him battle himself internally and finally give in. Their story is one of my most favorites of this series. Bring on another! 5 Stars.

This is book six in the author’s Redline Kings MC series and features Drift, aka Chance, the club’s Tail Gunner and manager of the two underground Redline racing teams.

When Jax’s sister, Alanna, moved near him to escape their overbearing parents, the crush she’d always had on Chance, Jax’s best friend growing up, returned so when he helped her while Jax was away on his honeymoon, things began to heat up almost immediately. Even knowing it risked his lifelong friendship with Jax, Chance refused to back off… especially when Alanna’s study partner became controlling and threatening to her. After that, the seemingly quiet, Drift demonstrated the lengths the Kings were willing to go to to protect their women.

This was an awesome read—a perfect example of why I keep returning to these authors even when a lot of their books fall on the iffy side for me; it was sweet and hella hot with an MMC who definitely wasn’t whipped but neither was he an overbearing a-hole… he was perfect! This is just what the doctor ordered for readers who love tons of spice in their MC reads with an obsessed, possessive and protective MMC and an FMC who is smart and compassionate but with a take no shat attitude. Check it out! 4.5 stars

This series just gets better and better!!

I love the creativity of this author duo, and the way they craft these characters. They are always so easy to attach to, and enjoy! Drift/Chase is a meaningful part of this club, and a solid, loyal brother that can always be counted on to protect his found family. Jax has been his friend for a very long time, even before the MC brotherhood, so the new attraction to his sister Alanna isn't something he should be feeling. But we know how hard these guys fall (when it happens), and Chance can't help himself, when danger comes for her, he steps in.

This is full of drama, intrigue, fast paced action, dangers, brotherhood loyalties (that are tested), steamy and possessive energies between this couple, and the HEA that I wanted. It was fun to be back with all the couples I have fallen in love with through this series, and to see how they welcome Alanna into the "Ol' Ladies" group is sweet.

Please try to read this series in order. Doing so will give you the best storyline experience, and help you avoid spoilers. I was fortunate to receive an ARC (thank you), and happily leave my review.

I'm not always a fan of the "brother's best friend/best friend's little sister as a hindrance" trope. I mean, it's your BEST FRIEND. You trust them to have your back, but don't trust them with your sibling? It's maddening to me, so I read that trope type very sparingly.

Happily, tho that IS the trope here, it's not beaten to death for the whole story, and I quite enjoyed the story, so yay! I really didn't want to have beef with Jaxton. I LIKE him! 😄

Anyway, Drift, aka Chance, does spend a fair amount of time struggling with claiming Alanna bc of Jax. However, his reasoning isn't SOLELY based on that & the worries he has are valid. Happily, he figures out Alanna is his anyway. Heh.

I loved Alanna when we met her in Jax, & she continued to be a favorite character here, too. She doesn't push Chance, even though she feels the chemistry is two-sided. She follows his lead while still sticking up for what SHE wants. 💚

We get suspense & steam and a super cute epilogue that I loved!!

😍😍😍

Oh what to say about Chance “Drift”Lawton !!! There is so much to say about him! I absolutely Loved! When I say LOVED I really loved Drift story. The discipline and the control that this man had me falling so hard for this man… but he lost control when it came to Jax’s little sister Alanna. But could you blame him Alanna is such an incredible person! She is head strong and knows what she wants when it comes to the one and only man Drift including her brother Jax!

Drift became a stalker when he saw Alanna at Jax wedding and couldn’t get her out of his mind and when he and his brothers helped her move into her in place made his more hyper aware and going to lose control

Alanna has had a crush since she was little and it came rushing all back when she saw him at her brothers wedding, but her being the obedient daughter and didn’t stray from parents until her brothers wedding when she knew she wanted more no matter what her parents say!

It was going so well until his chapter where he goes over the timeline of when they all met. He and Jax were 17 and Alana was 9. She had a crush on him in the beginning and he was a typical manwhore biker fucking OW.

FMC had a crush on the MMC but he didn’t care about her and continued on with the biker lifestyle and only paid attention to her at Jax’s wedding when she showed up and she looked like a woman he wanted to fuck.

Also to note: there’s no usual Fiona Davenport insta-love that the MMC usually experiences where he knows she’s his. No “mine” moment. He just wants to fuck her and then pushes her away.

-Virgin FMC
-Former manwhore MMC
-brothers best friend forbidden
-stalker element
-no cheating, sharing, OPD
-HEA

Could do without the recap of women who “stirred his lust/intrest” before the FMC turned into a “fuckable” woman. He only noticed her because of her physical attractiveness. Boo. ☹️👎🏽

This is probably a NO for safety readers.

Oh yes, please!

"Drift" is the final book in the Redline Kings MC series, and I absolutely love the chemistry between Drift and Alanna. They are perfect together. As best friends and the little sister of Drift's best friend, they both try to keep their distance because of Jax. However, the pull between Chance "Drift" and Alanna is undeniable; their chemistry is magnetic and powerful. When Drift discovers that Alanna is in danger, he will do anything to protect what is his, with the support of his brothers by his side.

I devoured this book in one sitting. The drama and suspense hooked me from the first page to the last, along with all the spicy moments. I loved this series and hate to see it end for now, but I am sure the author will bring us back to the Redline Kings MC world again.

I just love the Redline Kings! Can we stay in their universe forever?! Drift was another great addition to the series with a brothers best friend trope that was perfect. I love Jax, but there was a few times in this one that even I wanted to punch him. Drift was a silent but dangerous man who protected the ones he loved, and he didn’t love anyone as much as he loved Alanna. He tried to control his emotions while protecting her for so long, but when that tension exploded, it was steamy! Because of the controlling parents storyline that started in Jax’s book, I did wish there was at least a chapter showing her walking away. Or a little bit more tension from them? But I loved these two together and really hope we get a second generation with their daughter. No cheating or OM/OW drama, virgin FMC, dual POV, HEA and 2 epilogues in the future. Can’t wait for Tyre’s book!

Drift & Alanna: a nice romance

Another nice addition to the series. Brother’s best friend trope. Great, flowing plot and likable MCs. Alanna is Jax’s sister. She comes to Crossbend to be with her brother and finish college as well as remove herself from her parents’ impossible expectations. At Jax’s wedding she sees Chance (aka Drift) again; her brother’s best friend and club brother and her old crash comes back to life. But Drift is not immune to her either, despite knowing that acting on his desire could cost him his best friend. When a stalker puts Alanna in danger there is nothing he wouldn’t do to keep her safe. I liked his protectiveness and non-nonsense attitude as well as Alanna’s determination to stand by his side, despite the initial disapproval from her brother. All in all, a great, enjoyable read. 4 stars.

It has been years since Drift last saw Alanna, his club member Jax’s sister, and he was drawn to her but refused to act on it out of loyalty. That changes when Jax is out of town and Drift finds himself helping Alanna move. That is only the beginning as when she finds herself in danger there is nothing he won’t do to protect her.

Alanna has had feelings for Jax for a while but realizes that he isn’t about to let anything happen between them. Instead, she has focused on finishing school however she has also drawn the attention of the wrong person. A little forced proximity with Drift where he is tasked to keep her safe will change everything.

Drift’s good intentions were no match for the love between him and Alanna that includes a little turmoil, some suspense, the camaraderie between the club members and heat.

Drift has ME flustered 😮‍💨 I completely devoured his and Alanna’s story. Knowing that it was Forbidden, best-friends brother trope already had me hooked but the intense need to protect her while having his inner battle of wanting her but knowing his shouldn’t— 5 ⭐️

Alanna has a obsessive classmate and stalker so who better to protect her? Her older brothers broody friend and club brother 🌚
Drifts “fuck it” moment when he first kissed her was HOTT 🥵 All it took was one kiss and it sealed what he already knew.. she was his and he didn’t care about the consequences. 🥹

The spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

If you enjoy age gap, brothers best friend, forbidden then this is the book for you— the series for you.

I love a good Brother's Best Friend trope, but when it's mixed in with MC romance, off limits and drama it's ten times better & Fiona Davenport has delivered!

I loved Drift/Chance and Alanna (love the name because it's mine to the spelling). The desire was to be Alanna's man was so clear, I'm surprised she didn't pick up on Drifts feelings sooner. The chemistry between the two was amazing, and their steamy scenes were hot.

I was hooked from the start, Ethan gave me the creeps from the get go too so to see him get his comeuppance was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed this and everyother book in the series, if you've not met the Redline King's yet get them in your TBR now you won't regret it.

Drift & Alanna

Talk about meant to be! Alanna has had a crush on Drift since she was a young girl. Drift got hit by Cupid’s arrow when he saw Alanna again for the first time in years at her brother’s wedding. He tried to control himself and stay away from her because her brother is his best friend but he just couldn’t resist her. Especially when he realized that she is in danger. These men are so loyal and true. They may not be totally on the right side of the law, but they are the best men and have made themselves an amazing family.

Their story is short, sweet and very steamy with a big dose of stalker on the side. I didn’t want to put it down. Love this Redline Kings MC family!

I was so ready for Jax's little sister to come in and stir things up, but I was not ready for how good this was!! I should have known it would be so good because this is Fiona Davenport we are talking about. Fiona Davenport always brings the heat 🌶, the action 🔥, the humor 🤣, the everything 😍!!! I already knew from Jax's story that I loved Alanna. She is absolutely hilarious, and I love her spunk and sass. She is every bit a match for brooding, silent Drift. I'm so incredibly sad that our time with the Redline Kings MC has come to an end, but I most definitely will be rereading all of these books many times.

When Jax left his little sister, Alanna, in the care of his club brothers, he wanted them to keep her safe and definitely not fall in love.
As soon as Drift noticed the woman that Alanna had become he couldn't help but see her as his. His to protect, his to take care of, and of course his to fall in love. Alanna had always had a childhood crush on Chance. When she needed him, he came running and never looked back. Chance knew she was off-limits but that didn't stop him from falling.
This was another great book in the Redline Kings series. I loved the dynamic between Alanna and Chance. The broodiness and the sarcasm along with the banter. The spice was phenomenal.

Another awesome story in the RedLine Kings MC series. Now we get the story of Drift and Alanna, his best friends little sister. He saw her for the first time again at his best friend's wedding and his whole life changed. Alanna always had a crush on Drift, but now as an adult it just changed into love. Drift tried to stay away, but when a RedLine King finds his woman nothing and nobody can change that. When someone threatens her and Drift is tasked to keep her safe, Drift finally cracks 😉😏 Insta love(kind of ), sweet, steamy, romantic, fun banter and safe with an awesome HEA and a bit of action too. 😍😍😍😍😍

Alanna and Drift/Chance’s story was an outstanding addition to the Redline Kings MC Series ! It had passion as well as tenderness between Alanna and Chance. The adversity was a new one for the club, but as usual they fixed Alanna’s stalker problem as well as shutting down a cybercrime site that had zeroed in on Alanna. Superb writing, and Waverly is gonna be a handful of an MC Princess when she hits 17 and I can’t wait to see if Fiona Davenport does a “Second Generation Redline Kings” series ! 5✨’s. Best read in order and 18+ due to sexual content.

Oh man, Drifting was amazing. Chance (Drift) was everything I thought he would be, quiet and brooding, mind going a mile a minute while turning everything over, smart enough to catch everything said and unsaid and when he does talk? hmm, the filthy mouthed and blunt worded, had my heart melting. Alanna was everything he needed with enough steel, sass and sarcasm to meet him half way. Together they are explosive and the banter, spice and story were well entwined to make an interesting story. Loved it.

Definitely one of the top books in the series, drift being able to work aside, his feelings about her brother and finally get with her was just chefs kisss.❤️ The push and pull from him wasnt to much so that was good. Not necessarily this book but with the women in most biker series i wish they didn't give in so easily with certain things and argued or fought more instead of the guy doing a stare, growl or sex as the final answer for his decision he already made without asking the girl or discussing it with her.

Ok so out of all the series…this was by far the best. The story was great. The spice was great. The way that Chance and Alanna’s relationship kind of built up and not oh I see you and we’re together immediately. He was worried how his best friend would handle the relationship but also knew that the relationship was worth it. It still had the usual she’s a virgin, he has a breeding kink blah blah blah that the author is obsessed with but I could overlook it in this one because the story was the best one.

Meet fast pace and grumpy x sunshine

This is really a forbidden relationship that is a brother's best friend but he will do anything to save you and claim you and your brother acts like a childish little brat while you are the woman that you're wanting to become and you just absolutely fall in love with the way that these two interact with each other and you get to see Side characters from past books and you get foreshadowing for what's to come next and it's just so unbelievably cute I couldn't put it down.

This is book 6 of the Redline Kings MC and is about Drift and Alanna. He’s a member of the MC that’s supposed to protect her. She’s a members (Jax) little sister and totally off limits.
Drift has darkness in him that he never wants Alanna to see but when she’s being stalked and needs help, will he let the darkness out to protect the woman he was never supposed to fall in love with? How will Jax react when he finds out Drift has a thing for Alanna? Will Drift have to choose between his best friend/MC brother and the one woman who makes him believe love could be a real thing?

Drift runs hot, leaving sparks in his wake & tension crackling in every scene. The heat & attraction between Drift & Alannah are palpable, simmering until it finally explodes into pure fireworks. When danger strikes, it quickly learns it picked the wrong people to mess with. You’ll laugh, roll your eyes, & cheer as Jax and Drift add chaos & charm to the mix. Once again, family, loyalty, & brotherhood anchor the story with heart & strength.

Drift and Alanna's story is so good. I love the moments where Drift loses control and can't hold back his feelings and desires. These two together just fit. I am sad that this series ended. Book 6 and I feel like I was saying goodbye to old friends. I loved every single book in this series. I wanna read more morally grey stories from Fiona Davenport. I am never disappointed when reading any of her books.

Another great read by Fiona Davenport. Im in love with her MC lite series. Drift is best friends with Alanna's brother and he knows he shouldn't cross the line. When the Redline Kings fall for their women they fall hard and no matter how hard Drift "Chance" fought it he couldn't fight the pull. I loved Alanna and Drift. Alanna and Drift were perfect for each other. I always enjoy the bond between the "brothers" of the MC and this book was no exception. 5 stars
