Blood may seal the deal—but betrayal always writes the fine print.
Felicity Veneto never asked to be a pawn in her family’s war, but when her freedom is traded for peace, she’s thrown into the arms of Khalil Bulgari, the man she hates almost as much as she craves. Trapped in his luxurious cage, she knows survival means playing the part of the dutiful fiancée… until she can find a way out.
Khalil didn’t become the Bulgari enforcer by trusting pretty faces and fake tears. He sees through Felicity’s games. However, the more she schemes, the deeper she gets under his skin, and the more he tries to control her, the more dangerous she becomes.
Tatum Genovese-Bulgari may wear the crown, but inside her own family, respect is earned in blood. As the first woman to run the Genovese organization, she’s surrounded by doubt and the constant pressure of her husband’s need for control. However, with a new army of elite women behind her, Tatum’s playing the long game... even as she hides a secret that could potentially ruin her marriage.
Naeem Bulgari loves his wife, but he’s not built to play second to any woman. Especially not one who used to belong to him in every way. Their love is as raw as it is ruthless, and when business and desire collide, something’s gotta give.
Lust built the empire. Power keeps it running. But betrayal? That’s the real inheritance.
And when the blood settles, only the merciless will be left standing.

3.5 I loved Khalil and Felicity push and pull dynamic, and the scene with her and the pills!!! I wish we got more of Khalil and Felicity and fewer of the other couples. The other couples took up the majority of the book, which had my interest starting to fade. Dallas and Sophia could've been sprinkled in to move the plot because the connection was awkward.
She is toxic and beyond redemption! I'm praying for Khalil and hope he had all types of surveillance in his car. Maybe this will be Tatum's eye opener as to why she was treated as such in his home! She's worse than her brother. Sophia need not think Tatum isn't on to her yet either, she just hasn't hashed out all of the details. Mesha Mesh you're wrong for that cliffhanger too! 🤣
I really, really tried to like Felicity in this book, but the way she keeps sabotaging herself, especially when someone is genuinely trying to show her a different way and be there for her, really peeves me. At the same time, you can’t force anyone into a situation and expect them to just be okay with it, and that’s where Khalil comes in.
Sophia and Dallas are my favorites in this book. I’m really curious to see how Sophia is going to move with the family being what it is (trying not to spoil it for anyone 😉).
Tatum is definitely wearing the pants in her marriage with Naeem, and the power struggle is real. But honestly, Tatum played herself in this book. I didn’t like how she moved when a certain thing happened. She’s fortunate to be married...for better or worse.
Felicity irked every nerve I didn’t know I had!!!…She knows exactly what her family is about, and yet she is still making dumb moves and decisions!!!… I hope Dallas gets his hands on her to avoid Khalil having to do something to her!!!… Tatum is fighting real hard to hold onto her position, that she is ignoring the situation with her husband can soar!!!… I hope Sophia helps Felicity get leave because she is going to create so much chaos!!!… Maybe Sophia and Dallas should walk into an arranged marriage!!!… I can’t wait to see what is next for these families!!!…
This book is good from beginning to end. You cannot get sidetracked you must pay attention because when I say Naheem is that NIA he has it all together and Felicity, she’s a little touched but she about her business. Now sister Sophia on the other hand is deadly, but is she falling in love with the enemy Dallas? All I have to say is Mesha mesh has me hooked and I’m ready for book 3.
So much is going on in this book. Love life loyalty family enemies. This story hits all points. From the beginning though read about strong characters who take Loyalty and trust t the max. Reuther you agree on what’s happening or you get taken care of. No one lives outside of the Family rules. Those that try will be swiftly dealt with. I really am enjoying this read. Looking forward to the continuation of this story.
Absolutely enjoyed reading this book! So many plot twists and thrilling moments! I enjoy the constant commotion between the couples but I believe everyone is too much of a hothead to get any real business done or any family issues resolved. I also still feel like the author uses too many of the same sayings in her writing techniques. You see alot of the same phrases in each chapter like "sent a shiver down my spine". Overall a thrilling read!
I loved this whole series. Love all the characters except…Felicity. I’ve never disliked a female character in any book I’ve read the way I dislike her. Despite that I’m anxious for the follow up because It’s going to have to be magical to redeem her in any way.
Surprisingly I like the Dallas/Sophia twist and really hope that turns out well.
The book definitely had a lot of action! I’m over Tatum and Felicity! Tatum keeping secrets and felicity toxic behavior. I want Khalil to find love. This book was an emotional roller coaster. Can’t wait for the next book to get some closure to all these situations and betrayals.
I can’t stand Felicity. Although Khalil was wrong in what he did he was trying. Naeem and Tatum have officially gotten on my nerves. Why act the way you do to one another when you say you are in love. Dallas and Sofia are playing a dangerous game but I prefer them together over Khalil and Felicity. Whew! Where is the next book? Need some closure on some of this.
I’m a little disappointed in this one, it felt like too much was going on. All the MC had stuff going on. The read felt rushed with no end. The ,what I assume, cliff hanger was unnecessary as how you have a cliffhanger with Dallas, Sophia, Tatum, Naren, and Khalil, just too much for my taste.
This is one of the sexiest messes I’ve ever read. Kahlil is stuck on Felicity and she stuck on drugs. Naeem and Tatum need to rethink their marriage. At this point so they even love each other. Dallas and Sophia the couple I didn’t see coming but so glad they did. Even with all the mess I’m still hoping for a happily ever after for everyone. On to the finale!
Great writing, as always. Need the next installment ASAP. Secrets, power struggles, and deceit. It's crazy you can hate a book character and hope his plan doesn't succeed.
Felicity is a big headache even after all this with Khalil she still scheming and trying to blackmail Sophia. It’s her fault Khalil in surgery, the one person who wanted to help her she still running from!
