I’ve enjoyed getting to know Bill over the past several years, as we both have interests in providing coaching to the faith community, but I’ve gotten to know Bill at a much deeper level by reading this book.

I find Bill’s writing to be an immense source of comfort that can only by outdone by reading God’s Word. He’s the “real deal.” For example, in the section titled “Relax and be yourself,” Bill reminds us that we should be “playing to an audience of One,” meaning we should be focused on pleasing God versus those around us.

I also appreciate the fact that Bill’s writing challenges me to develop a closer walk to God, as He longs for that intimate relationship. Bill’s writing of “What is holding you back from living your best life” was like a 2x4 to the head when he asked if my “quiet time with God was something amazing – a glimpse of heaven, inspiring and exciting?” I couldn’t say that I always look forward to spending time with Him, but Bill’s challenge was inspiration enough.

Finally, I love the question Bill penned when he asked if my “actions, attitudes, thoughts and words” were grounded in an eternal perspective? It’s a challenge that I think we all have to ask ourselves, and then live like we mean it...filled with the hope of things to come!
