Rahandus on keel nagu iga teinegi: mida ladusamalt seda räägid, seda kaugemale ja mugavamalt reisid. Nii nagu keelel, on ka finantskirjaoskusel kindel struktuur: õige hoiak, oma võimaluste piires elamine, investeerimisega varakult alustamine ning aktsiatesse pikaajaliselt investeerimine. Warren Buffett on mees, kes valdab seda keelt filigraanselt ning pole kade oma teadmisi ka teistega jagama.
Buffettist on kirjutatud väga palju raamatuid, finantskirjaoskusest veelgi enam. Siiski on „Buffetti nipid“ ainus, mis neid kahte teemat nõnda oskuslikult kombineerib. Raamatu selgrooks on Buffetti – läbi aegade ühe kõige säravama finantsgeeniuse – 100 nippi ehk strateegiat. Lisatud üksikasjalikud sõnaseletused ja kokkuvõtted igast peatükist aitavad lugejal kuni viimase leheküljeni meistriga samas tempos püsida.

A great introduction for young adults learning about finances for their future planning as well as adults who did not have the opportunity to learn about finance, Really interesting weaving in facts and quotes from Warren Buffett, you get a real feel for the man and his sense of humor. If you weren’t familiar with Warren Buffett before this book you will become a fan!

Probably one of the best books on financial literacy I've ever read. Gives readers actual working tips and great advice on business, investment, and life lessons, in general. The book is actually based on deep acquaintance with Warren Buffet's financial tactics, as the writer, a finance professor and investment manager has met Buffet on several occasions. Apart from the valuable financial information, I find the book extremely inspiring and motivating readers to take up at least part of Buffet's 100 golden tips to financial success, and put them into practice. An impressive, well written and easy to follow book that everyone must certainly read and come back to.

The foundational summary of both many other investment advice books and a set of rules that we can all benefit from considering and aspiring to emulate. These bullet points are a smart summary from internet.

This is an interesting book that covers a broad spectrum of financial thought. However, I am not sure who the target audience is. I doubt a person needing instruction on how to balance a checkbook is going to be up for some of the more nuanced financial calculations.
Maybe a textbook for a High School or College Freshman general finance class?
There are some editing misses. Nothing that changes the meaning, but it does distract from the reading enjoyment for me. For example, where they decided to change a that to who, but neglected to remove the original that. "People that who work for investment banking..." page 368. I realize this is not something a lot of people notice or care about, but it is a distraction to me and pulls me out of flow when I am reading. There are quite a few of these throughout the book. I also found the jumping to hip twenty-something vernacular odd and it will date this book quickly as the references grow stale.
These minor criticisms notwithstanding, if you are interested in finance or Warren Buffett this book is worth a read.

Warren Buffett on Berkshire Hathaway tegevjuht, ta on üks maailma rikkamaid inimesi ning teda peetakse üheks ajaloo edukaimaks investoriks. Ta on 93-aastane ning tema ettevõtte iga-aastane aktsionäride koosolek on nagu kapitalistide Woodstock. Aga Buffett on lahke mees ja jagab oma edu, mõtteid ning nippe. Ja seekordses raamatud on isa ja poeg teinud kokkuvõtte - mulle meeldis, et eri põlvkonna mõttes on mõisted lahti seletatud ja heade näidetega arusaadavaks tehtud. Natuke on USA põhine (nt kõrgkooli ja kindlustuste osa jätsin suures osas vahele), ning päris vau mõtteid ma sealt ei saanud. Palju oli mulle juba tuttav, kuid mõned mõtted ikka sain. Olen ise ligi 10 aastat investeerinud, samuti olen uhke Berkshire aktsionär.

Throughout his lifetime, Warren Buffett has given the world golden nuggets on investing, personal finance and life lessons here and there. And now those invaluable advices from the Oracle of Omaha (and his friends, mentors, those who influenced him in a positive way) is compiled into a book that will surely be of use to whoever that reads it. I thank John Longo and his son, Tyler for coming out with this book. I absolutely loved it!

Mina ise olen Buffetti tegemiste kohta varemgi lugenud ning jälginud paljusid investoreid, kes omakorda on tema mõtteterasid jaganud. Seega ma väga palju uut teada ei saanud, aga ... no ma ikka lugesin muudkui edasi, sest ootasin, et äkki nüüd ... varsti ... Ehk siis oli mõnus kordamine. Samas kui Buffetti mõtteid varem pole väga kuulnud, siis saab siit kindlasti tema soovitustest mingi hea pildi ette.

This interesting duo of a father and son bring out some valuable to-the-point information that saliently summarizes the major beliefs of Mr Buffet. A lot of the book felt like a user-friendly manual/summary of Alice Schroeder’s “The Snowball”. Overall a brief introduction for anyone looking for quick takeaways on the life of this famous investor.

Good book to start out financial literacy. Some topics are not that useful and applicable outside of US. Great explanation to simple finance, savings, investment and buffet approach on life.
