2025:

"If you’re going to come for me and mine, you better make sure you don’t miss."

WHAT A RIDE.
The third book in The Den series is sure to smack you in the face with emotions, flip you over, shake you up and then start all over again.
This book was the culmination of events that began way back when, in Temptation Awakened, with foreshadowing that was dropped without you even realising. I was constantly going back to books one and two, picking out pieces that I had missed but suddenly began pivotal to the events transpiring in this most recent instalment.
Aria and Viktor go through a roller coaster of events to find an ending befitting that of royalty, and if you think the story ends with them...boy do you have another thing coming!

"I will love her from afar. Support her from the shadows. Take every scrap she can spare. And I will do it all with a smile and a grateful heart, because I have known true love."

Tropes: Arranged marriage, age gap, office romance, hidden world, magical transformation
Triggers: Trigger warnings: Suicide (talks of, not actual), Mental Health (depression), Gun violence, Physical violence (hand necklace, punching, stabbing), Death, Talk of murder, Fertility

Mara’s death triggers a series of events no one could predict.

As Aria works with The Den investigating Mara’s death the politics relating to her arranged marriage which causes her people to question her loyalty and her suitability to be named heir to the Kingdom of Lust.

As this goes on Aria comes to understand what she stands to gain and lose should she choose to campaign to become heir.

I loved the characters. The good guys had attitude and snark, but inherently meant well whether it worked or not and the bad guys twirled their mustaches and got with the doing bad.
Viktor was probably my favourite character. He seemed to get the most loving and dedicated boyfriend lines that my heart melted over.

The only slight issue I had was a personal thing. Viktor highlighted how old he was and he would use terms that felt inappropriate. An example of this is “And if you think that’s impressive, you should see the other one at my estate. It’s underground and everything.” The language felt both young and not something a lawyer would say.

Ultimately it was a good conclusion to the trilogy. I did feel that the ending was rushed. There was a surprise which I was overall happy about, but wished I had been included.

Overall a fun trilogy with a satisfying conclusion.

Wow, what a ride that trilogy was!

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the sassy Aria and her quest to claim what was rightfully hers, all along.

The summation of what has been building for the last two books was done really well, all characters had their time to shine. The relationship between Aria and her vampire was just beautiful, and flowed really well. The spice was absolutely phenomenal. Not too much, not too little.

I really enjoyed Thane, he is a must for a future book, pretty please!

If you enjoy a plot with a sassy FMC, men who will drop to their knees for her, and witty banter galore, you should definitely pick this trilogy up.

Now that I have had a full day to digest the happenings of the finale in this trilogy I will review.

Let's start with OMG... the way that K.V. ended this was phenomenal. the tension building, the unforeseen twist and the moments that made me laugh and gasp out loud (I swear people on my commute thought I was having an episode) Just Outstanding!

I cannot wait to see more from K.V. in the future and will be lining up pre-release for it all.

OMG!! This finale to the trilogy was so highly anticipated and was very nuch worth the wait!!

My patience was rewarded with answers to MOST of my questions and I feel that this was the perfect ending after we had been by Aria's side throughout her awakening and acceptance of parts of herself and the world around her far beyond any of her wildest imaginings.

The explosive chemistry between Aria & Viktor is deliciously intense, balanced by the cheeky banter of Eros!

I absolutely adored the endless twists and turns and political intrigue with almost nobody being who they seemed until they were forced to reveal their true characters.

K.V Ankers is an incredible storyteller and I am excited to see where she takes us next!
