My childhood best friend turned nemesis, turned…dirty little secret?
We both have dreams of joining the pro motocross circuit but Colson is nursing an old injury. With no one else on his side and my career postponed a year, I’m determined to help him get there. Even if it means suiting up, breaking the rules, and wearing his name across my shoulders.
My brother can’t find out. Not until we cross that finish line.
When the stakes are this high and your dreams are within arms reach, the only thing left to do is hammer down on the throttle and send it.
Kirstie Goode is the author of several series, including the Waves series, Legacy High, The Golden Boys duet, and Send It. She writes stories you never want to put down, featuring flawed but relatable characters you’ll fall in love with—and occasionally want to strangle. While she especially enjoys writing sports romance, she refuses to limit herself to a single genre, preferring to keep readers guessing what she’ll do next. A lover of plot twists and a devoted happily-ever-after enthusiast, she can often be found with a dead phone battery, living life entirely by chaos, vibes and pop2k music.
“I’ve been loving Colson since we were little but I knew I couldn’t love him out loud. Colson belonged to my brother but I think I always knew someday he’d be mine too.” - Lincoln
“I don’t want what’s easy or what anyone else thinks is right for me. I want that fire that burns inside of me when Colson looks at me..”
1000/10 stars for this book! This is by far my new favorite read of Kirstie’s. What started as a “you’re the bane of my existence” dynamic in the first couple of chapters beautifully morphed into a long existing hidden love between the main characters - one that I felt down to my bones.
“Lincoln Bane. My best friend’s little sister. The biggest pain in my ass, the absolute bane of my existence.” - Colson
“…because it means that all those years I spent wishing for my brother’s best friend to look at me as more than an annoying little sister, he already was. He saw more, just like I did.”
While keeping the timeline current, there were plenty of references to the past that really made you realize how connected the characters have been since the moment they met one another. Woven in was plenty of backstory on Colson’s past that made you realize why he is the way he is and it made his character so relatable. They supported one another and loved each other for more than their talent, and this was really reflected in the pages of this book.
“I don’t care if Colson hangs his helmet up and never races again. I don’t love him because he is great at Motocross, I love him because of who he is. Every fiber of his being is made for me. It doesn’t matter if he goes pro, Colson is my endgame. I know it and soon everyone else will too.”
This story had me feeling so much for the main couple but also all of the side characters. Kirstie writes such lovable characters into her books, it’s hard not to want everyone’s stories. The way the friends and family were written in, really made you feel connected to the story as a whole. While there was plenty of tension and romance, there was also TONS of funny banter to add to the entertainment of the story. There were parts where I was laughing out loud, kicking my feet, and scenes that will be engrained in my mind for a long time.
I won’t ruin anything, but the last 25% gave all the resolution you could want in an ending for a stand alone novel. This will be a book that I recommend to anyone who loves a man on a bike, tons of tension, and a storyline that will make you want to turn page after page.
Review based on an advanced reader copy. Releases August 5, 2025
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Format: Ebook Feel Good romance. Includes scene depicting s*xual assault.
This novel was amazing. It reminded me of one of my favourite movies growing up, Disney’s Motocrossed, but ten times better. Goode does an amazing job depicting the different racing scenes, as well as the interactions between the characters. It was such a joy to read Send It and I would love to get more works surrounding the motocross sport from her. Especially if we get to see more of the characters from Send It.
The relationship between Colson Raines and Lincoln Bane is chaotic, funny, and sweet all at the same time. Despite being enemies for a time, their relationship is romantic and based around friendship and a deep care for each other. You can’t help but love the pair.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good enemies to lovers, sports romance, with a brother’s best friend trope. That said it does include s*xual content so keep that in mind if those types of reads aren’t for you.
First off i would like to thank Kirstie for the opportunity to read & review this gifted E-Arc.
Lincoln & Colson Y'all the tension between these two jumps off from the start and i absolutely loved every minute of it. I loved the banter between them as well. I loved that Lincoln was determined to make it in a male dominated sport and prove she could hang and be better then them. I love that she fought so hard for Colson and wasn't afraid to put herself out there and just be herself. Colson the man that you are, i absolutely adore him and the fact that he was obsessed with Lincoln but didn't wanna disrupt his friendship with her brother and their family. I absolutely appreciate that he was willing to do whatever it took to help Lincoln make it and the fact that he knew with out hesitation that he wanted her. Watching these two slowly dance around their growing feelings till it just became to much and they couldn't anymore.
5/5 Recommend this book. This is the first book I've read by Kirstie and it was absolutely so good. It does touch on a very serious and sensitive topic (its disclosed at the beginning) so please take that into consideration. While this book does seem to move at a pretty fast pace but never to the point it skips anything important.
This story is an emotional ride in the best possible way—equal parts tender, fierce, and beautifully written. At the heart of it is Colson Raines, a former childhood best friend turned forbidden flame, and Lincoln Banes, the girl who risks everything to help him chase a dream they both share. 🏁🏁🏁
Their journey is layered with history, tension, and the kind of connection that quietly simmers until it finally ignites. The romance carries just the right amount of spice—intense but never overpowering—perfectly balancing emotional depth with physical chemistry. The motocross backdrop adds adrenaline and urgency, while the secret, forbidden love keeps your heart racing in a completely different way. 😍
This book is more than just a romance—it’s about resilience, chasing dreams, and finding strength and support in the people who show up when it matters most. A beautifully told story that will leave you with a full heart and a smile on your face. It's the perfect summer read to pack in your beach bag or savor on a quiet evening. ☀️
When I saw that this was a brothers best friend, sports romance, and Disney movie Motorcrossed vibes I signed up immediately!
This book will have you laughing out loud! The banter is amazing. The side characters are great!
I loved Colson’s nana. Her relationship she develops with Lincoln is so freaking sweet.
Lincoln is stubborn, fierce and a badass. She is determined to prove herself…and she does! She fights hard for Colson and I loved that he fought just as hard for her. The nicknames they give each other are hilarious.
I love that Kirstie brings the emotions in her books, the characters are always beautifully written.
I love, love, LOVED this book! It was so freaking adorable 🥰. Lincoln and Colson are the CUTEST couple ever and books like this make me want to fall in love so bad! I definitely recommend!!
What did I do when I finished this book? Immediately preordered it! I’ve been waiting for this book since Kirstie teased it at a book event I attended. Lincoln might be “one of the guys” but off the track Colson sees her as HIS “baby Bane” he’s fallen for. You’ve got childhood best friends, best friend’s sister, secret relationship, hate/love relationship, and SO MUCH MORE!
This was the first book by Kirstie Goode that I’ve read and I loved it! It’s very fast paced and the inner monologues don’t drag on (thank you!). The characters are young (Lincoln the FMC is 18 and Colson the MMC is 20). They are immature and make wrong choices throughout the story, but it’s so well written that I wanted to knock some sense into the characters but not stop reading. I’m definitely going to be reading more from her!
The nostalgia this book brings to my Millenial heart
This book is definitely the spicy version of Motocrossed. If you're a Millenial who spent any time watching the Disney Channel, you know exactly what I'm getting at. I love the spin Goode put on for book and who doesn't love a little 'brother's best friend' action?
I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. It was the perfect motocross romance. I loved the friends to lovers/brothers best friend theme. The relationship between Colson and Lincoln pulled on my heartstrings from the first chapter. I loved how protective he was. The spice was about 3 🌶️s.
Always enjoy Kirstie Goode's books. Im not very good when writing reviews, but I do want to say,I loveher writing style and her storyline! Can't wait for the next book!
I love this book so much, I race bikes too so it is so fiting . great job Kirstie.I loved the ending I hope she makes more like this , I wish there was a second book for send it .
Motocross has always been my favorite and growing up the Disney movie motocrossed was my favorite movie and still is to this day so when the author posted and said this book was based on that, I dropped everything and had to read this. And then the MMC being loosely based (yes the author confirmed to me) on machine gun Kelly, who I’m obsessed with?? SAY LESS IM READING IT. this book was so much fun and I enjoyed every page. Colson and Lincoln’s relationship was the kind that had me kicking my feet and I especially loved when she kicked all those guys tails in the race. Hopefully we get a book two about Reiss!!
