Felix.

When my sister gets cursed into a coma by a witch coven, I’m forced to pay them blackmail to free her of the curse. I’m a witch without a coven and have no one to help me. So, when my best friend Claire mentions my Gran’s old grimoire, I find answers in the form of blood sweetener potion. I become a feeder to vampires, earning a lot of money because of my sweet tasting blood. But it isn’t until my newest vampire master, Severin, mentions that we’re fated, that I realize playing around with blood could be dangerous. How am I supposed to keep away from one of the oldest vampires when he demands we are meant to be? I can only hope Severin won’t kill me when the potion’s effect wears off.

Severin.

Having finally found my fated, life seems perfect for the first time since I became a vampire. However, the coven who took his sister is way more sinister than we originally thought, and soon we find ourselves at war with the coven. I can only hope my new happiness will last. At least we will not fight them alone. Our allies, family, and friends will be there with us, making sure we all get a happily ever after.

Sweetest Blood is a paranormal standalone, featuring a vampire and a witch destined to be together. It’s filled with found family, magic, and biting. HEA guaranteed.

Sweetest Blood – Regitse Liljadorff
We stepped into fantasy worlds years ago with vampires, werewolves, and witches. So let’s be honest… vampire + witch is everyone’s weak spot 🩸✨
Sweetest Blood feeds straight from that vein.
Felix is a witch, and Severin is a vampire who has long passed his 1,000th year. From the outside, he might seem wild, harsh, even dangerous—after all, that’s his vampire nature. But Severin isn’t truly dark. He’s controlled, calm, and fully aware of who he is and what he wants.
I’d love to say this book has calm characters…
But the libido hiding beneath that calm will absolutely catch you off guard. Oh my god! Before Severin can even say “slow down,” Felix is already taking the lead.
I have a heart—please, come gently 🤭🔥
These are characters who know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid to take it.
Low chaos, high spice. No unnecessary drama, but the chemistry, physical tension, and mutual desire are written so well that the pages practically turn themselves.
Even the side characters are thoughtfully written and easy to love.
But let’s be real… my favorite is Severin 🖤
His composed presence, the way he softens around Felix, and that “seems wild but is actually incredibly gentle” side of him completely stole my heart.
In short:
If you have a soft spot for vampire & witch romances, love relationships that look calm but burn underneath, and prefer your books with a generous dose of spice, Sweetest Blood is a perfect pick 🩸✨

Just the tropes themselves had me interested in this story, and I was not disappointed 😍💛

This is probably my favourite book so far by the author, paranormal is definitely a genre that fits her writing style.

It’s a slow burn, but with some longing and teasing. But so freaking hot! I’m such a fan of marking, biting and claiming 🔥 Definitely more spice than this one than her regular stories, and I’m not complaining about it 🙈

I love the characters, and the side characters. The whole plot and storyline was amazing! I kinda want one of the side characters to have his story as well. The found family trope is strong in this one, and I love it!

Are you even surprised this was 5 stars? I didn't think so. If Regitse writes it, I'm going to read it and it's going to be 5 stars. All of her books are low angst and just fun to read.

I am absolutely a sucker (hehe) for a vampire story. I love the way this was written. Paranormal and humans co-exist together, not always harmoniously, but cordial enough. The only real problem is a certain witch coven that seems to want to cause problems and take over everyone.

In this story, vampires find their fated mate, or bonded as they call it, through tasting their blood. Werewolves find their fated through smell. Witches and humans do not know have a way to know who their bonded is unless a vampire or werewolf is that person and says so.

Felix is a witch without a coven. His sister has been cursed and he must do what he has to in order to save her. So for the past 5 years, he's been offering himself as a feeder for vampires. Vampires don't hunt like in traditional stories, but rather they use blood bags or feeders to survive. Felix found a way to make his blood taste sweeter so that way he gets paid more for being a feeder. He is highly coveted as the one with the sweetest blood and in turn hired by a special vampire to be a feeder.

Enter Severin. He and his brother, Peter, are the oldest vampires. Peter starts to worry about Severin and hires a feeder for him, since it's been years since he's interacted with another person outside of the workers in the castle. Severin agrees and in walks Felix. Severin is immediately curious about him and after feeding for the first time, he believes they are bonded. Felix doesn't believe that due to the potion he takes. But after a few days or no contact, he can't deny it anymore.

I could go on and on, but that would spoil the rest of the story! You'll have to read it for yourself to find out what happens! Thank you Registe for letting me be a part of this journey!

Stories with vampires are my thing!

Felix is a witch, without a coven. He needs money, a lot! He’s been blackmailed, his sister is cursed into a coma, and taken by a coven. He has to pay off a lot of money to get her free.
It costs him years to pay the price.

He found a way to gain more money. He made a blood sweetener so he can be a vampire feeder. They pay a lot of money for delicious blood.
He had already different vampire masters, and now he’ll start with Severin, one of the oldest and hottest vampires ‘alive’.

Severin is an ‘old’ vampire, somewhat depressed and tired of social life. He lives in a secluded castle, mostly on his own, with his amazing brother Peter nearby.

Smelling Felix turned Severin’s dead life upside down. He smells like a mate, his mate. It seems not possible because Felix had more vampires who loved his blood. But oh boy, after their first feeding, Severin knows for sure; Felix is his fated.

Felix has so many feelings for Severin, but blames Severin’s attraction to him on the potion he took. Ha! As if!

While Felix tried to save his sister for years, with just one friend by his side, now he is surrounded by vampires, witches, and werewolves, who want to help him.
What follows is just amazing!
There are attacks and fights, allies who help them, and, sadly, traitors. Enemy covens with dark intentions. It’s all entertaining af!

Felix and Severin together was something else. I was melting! The protectiveness of vampires over their mates is hot af!

Overall a wonderfully written story, with awesome magical details, hot encounters, hurt, action, and endless love!

This was a fun read! The concept of how these two met was an interesting one that I enjoyed. I’ve read about vampire feeders before but I haven’t read it done this way yet! Felix was a sweet determined man who was giving everything he had to help his sister and Severin was equally as sweet and wanted nothing more than to make sure Felix was happy. I loved the simple sweet moments between them like Severin making sure Felix didn’t have to worry about food or cooking and how Felix wanted to genuinely learn about his vampire. The found family was great! Peter was such a great brother to Severin, Giro was a great bestie for Felix and we love Dina the castle boss!! This was a great read!

After a string of deeply beautiful and heartbreaking reads, this one felt like a palate cleanser for me. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it did not grab ahold of my attention (…or heart). I made a one-word notation for myself: Silly.
Beauty and the beast was my favorite childhood movie, and if Severin was my beast, then I would gladly eat the food and read all the books. Wait, did he have a library? Now I needed to know.

Will I remember this? I don’t think so. This will blend in with other books.
Did it touch my heart? I think it tried to – but the story was a bit too fluffy for me.

Oh my, this was incredible. What a fantastic plot line. Witches and Vampires? Fated mates? Biting, plot twists and drama? Yes, please! Sign me up.

I’m also just a sucker for a good PNR book. Regitse really does this so well. This is my third book from here. I have read the Spectral series, and can’t wait to go through her other books!

I adored Felix and Severin. The side characters in the story were also great. I found myself invested in their storylines too.

Felix and Sev were so cute, shy, sweet and so hot too. I loved how everyone worked together to solve the mysteries.

This was a great book, fun, sweet, swoony, fast-paced, mystery, spicy.

“Felix, my heart. I have not felt as alive as I have been feeling since you came along.”

Can’t wait to read more from this author.

So thankful for this arc

A Joyfully Jay review.

Sweetest Blood is a contemporary paranormal story featuring a witch/vampire pairing, with a wide cast of supporting characters that flesh out this supernatural world and play into the trope of fated mates. The story is told in short chapters with Severin and Felix splitting narration duties. Along with the fated mates and slow burn tropes, the story has a plethora of events that link up to tell a bigger story, while still saving plenty of time for the MCs and secondary/tertiary characters to explore romantic themes.

Overall, this story was a bit too saccharine and a bit too busy for me; lots of things happen that added bulk to the story, but not meaning or depth.

A sweet and spicy mm paranormal romance, that explores fated mate bonds between a vampire and witch, and devotion to family/ found family.
I enjoyed the teasing and longing, and the Insta-Lust. Felix is desperate to protect his sister, but didn't expect his new vampire master to be his fated mate. Now he has a possessive and adoring lover to help him save his sister and tackle the coven that threatens them all.
I loved the mutual desire, and the way they just click. It's got action, tension and spice, and I loved the found family bonds.

A huge thank you to Gay Romance Reviews for an advanced copy of Sweetest Blood!

A vampire and a witch sittin’ in a tree K I S S I N G… and the rest is history.
You really can’t go wrong with a paranormal MM romance, right? Right. And Sweetest Blood did not disappoint! It was a fluffy, sweet, quick read.

Felix was a witch without a coven and Severin was one of the oldest living vampires. Being one of the oldest vampires, Severin had lost the joy of living. That is, until Felix showed up at his castle to live with him for a year as his personal blood bag in order to make money to save his sister. Felix brought back to life his cold, dead heart. And it’s all sunshine and rainbows from there… and maybe a little War of the Witches.
I got major Twilight Breaking Dawn vibes with the gathering of the vampires, witch covens and wolves to fight off evil *insert Dr. Evil pinky finger to mouth pose*

I loved our found family HEA!
Claire & Astrea 😍 Dina the Castle Boss 🫡 Peter & Giro 🧛 🧙 and sweet Cole 🐺
All fiercely protective of eachother ❤️

I loved this sweet, cozy lil fated family!

Severin and Felix meet when Felix is contracted to be his feeder. Felix is Severin’s fated and the two soon bond. I liked he premise but there was so much going on and so many couples that I never got a really good feel for anyone. In the story there were 5 different couples that bonded or got together. There was no way to fully develop all of those relationships. They were very surface level. Then add on the big conflict with the local coven and it was just a lot to throw into one book.

Sweetest Blood was my first book I’ve read by Regitse Liljadorff and it’s safe to say I’ll definitely be picking up some more. I was hooked just by the tropes. This was a fantastic read Felix will do anything to pay the ransom to free his sister who was cursed by a witch coven. He becomes a blood feeder for vampires and this is how he meets Severin, his newest vampire master. Felix ends up being Severin fated. Severin will do anything to make sure Felix is happy and safe. These two just made my heart melt with how sweet and caring they both are.

Sweetest Blood by Regitse Liljadorff completely had me hooked. Well… I definitely learned some new things about myself while reading it.

I loved how long the story is and all the twists and turns along the way. The love these characters have for each other is intense, and they fully lean into it. And yes… all of those scenes? Absolutely steamy 🥵. I am not even kidding, I would gladly suck my teeth into any of the male characters.

I am such a sucker for a good love story, and this one kept me on the edge of my seat more times than I can count. I would absolutely love a sequel to see what happens next, but honestly, it works perfectly as a standalone. Passionate, thrilling, and completely satisfying.

Sweetest Blood by Regitse Liljadorff was such an easy five star read for me, and one that really caught me off guard with how much I ended up loving it, because it came out of nowhere for me.

This is a paranormal MM romance, a genre I have a long history with and one that can start to feel a little repetitive after a while. Sweetest Blood genuinely felt different though, and a lot of that comes down to the characters and the relationships at the center of the story.

Felix is a young witch who has spent years doing whatever he can to survive and to protect his sister after she is cursed into a magical coma. Becoming a feeder, someone whose magically sweetened blood attracts vampires, is both dangerous and isolating, and it has clearly shaped the way Felix sees himself and the world around him. Severin, on the other hand, is an ancient vampire who has lived through centuries of loss and solitude after losing most of his family long ago. Their bond brings together two people who have been alone in very different ways, and watching Felix grow into his confidence while Severin slowly comes back to life because of him was genuinely lovely to read.

Felix and Severin were everything for me. I can be very hit or miss with fated mates romances because they often lean heavily into insta love, which naturally comes with the territory, but that really wasn’t an issue here. Even though their connection forms quickly, it felt incredibly natural and believable right from the start. There was no unnecessary relationship drama, just two people who loved each other on a deep, almost instinctive level. Their relationship felt steady and reassuring, and it was impossible not to root for them and want the best for them the entire time.

The found family element of this book was another highlight. I loved how it slowly grew over the course of the story, gradually bringing more supernatural characters into the fold. Watching that group come together felt warm and earned. I will admit, and this is said with nothing but affection, that a small part of me wished this had been a duology because Peter and Giro absolutely deserved their own book. That said, I really respect the author’s choice to keep this a standalone. Not every world needs to be stretched out, and this story felt complete in the best way.

The main plot was also incredibly engaging. From the moment you learn what happened to Felix’s sister at the beginning of the book, there is this quiet tension that sits in the background and slowly builds as the story unfolds. What I appreciated most was how well balanced everything felt. The plot never took away from the romance, and the romance never overshadowed the story. Both were given the space they needed to shine.

I also have to mention, quickly, the bond between Severin and his brother Peter, because it was one of my favourite parts of the book. Their relationship feels incredibly lived in, shaped by centuries of shared history and loss. Severin is more reserved while Peter is openly protective and quick to tease, and there’s a quiet, unshakable loyalty between them that never wavers. Peter is clearly Severin’s anchor, and their brotherly bond added so much emotional depth to the story.

Overall, Sweetest Blood was such a satisfying read for me. Between the strong cast of characters, the found family aspect, and a story that kept me invested from start to finish, this book reminded me why I love paranormal romance so much. I am very glad I picked this one up and I will definitely be reading more from Regitse Liljadorff in the future.

This is such a sweet love story between a vampire and a human. A slow burn but I instantly felt the bond between these two characters.

I loved Felix and Severin equally, and I adored how naturally they came together to be a real couple. They have a stable, loving and low angst relationship, and I so enjoyed the easiness of them together. They felt comfortable and homely, and they create a happy community within their walls.

I loved the pure joy that came from Sev about finding his fated mate and how the witch is his absolute world. Yes, Felix feels it too, but it seems even bigger and more significant for Sev as he waited so long for true happiness. I love how he even appreciated Felix’s grumpiness in the mornings and when he’s having a grumble about something.

And Felix is just so very Felix. I adored that he’s upfront about the truth as soon as Sev recognises their bond, avoiding any kind of deception or long-term worry that the connection may not be real. As Sev said, he’s just unapologetically himself, and I really appreciated that.

I was very much a fan of all the acceptance in this book, allowing the MMCs to create relationships and allies across different species. This was helpful when it came to taking down the perpetrators behind Astrea’s coma.

I also really liked that all the key side characters found their HEAs too in this book, including Felix and Sev’s siblings. While Peter took top spot as my favourite side character initially, he was beaten in the end by Cole, who was absolutely lush IMO.

This is a real feel-good book that you can curl up with on a comfy sofa, with a warm blanket and mug of your fave beverage on a miserable day and enjoy – and since that’s pretty much what the weather’s been like in the UK recently, that’s exactly what I did!

Some of my favourite quotes

I gave him my kindest ‘I-am-not-going-to-kill-you’ smile, and left the room.

“Felix, my heart. I have not felt as alive as I have been feeling since you came along.”

“You have not been forgotten, my heart. But for once I have someone else other than Peter who I could lose. Please do not ask me to not protect you. I cannot do that.”

“You are the most important person to me, my heart. I am sorry for making you feel lesser than.”

“Life is a mess. But now we will never be alone to face it ever again. You have me, and I have you. Forever.”

“I like that I have so much to fight for, even though it also mean, that I have a lot more to lose.”

“I want all of you, Sev. Show me who you really are.”

Tengo que admitir que este libro me gustó muchísimo; no era para nada lo que esperaba! 🥹😭💖

Felix y Sev me encantaron. Sev... the man that you are!

〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️

I have to admit, I loved this book so much! It wasn’t at all what I expected! 🥹😭💖

Felix and Sev were incredible characters. Sev... the man that you are! 🤌🏻💖 I absolutely adored him; his protective nature and how attentive he is toward Felix completely won me over. At the same time, Sev couldn't have found a better partner than Felix. Even though their relationship started off fast and a bit rough, it turned into something so beautiful and sincere.

And the side characters? I loved them too! Peter and Gino were such an unexpected couple, but I was charmed by the little moments we got of them. Also, I did NOT see the twist with Dina, Joel, and Cole coming; it was such a pleasant surprise that I ended up enjoying it more than I expected! lol.

I loved seeing the werewolves, vampires, and witches working together. The fight scene was simply breathtaking! ✨

PS: Will we get Alex’s story one day? 👀👀 He became such an "opportune" and intriguing character... I’m definitely curious! 🫣

*ARC Review* Thank you to Regitse Liljadorff for sending me a copy!

Intro:
This book is an MM romance between Felix, a witch trying to save his sister and Severin, a vampire who has closed himself off for centuries

Tropes/Highlights:
-MM
-Dual POV
-Open Door
-Found Family
-Vampire/Witch
-Fated Mates
-Biting
-Low Angst
-Protective MCs
-HEA

Likes:
-Dynamic between MCs
-Felix's blood kink
-Kinship
-Bath time
-Peter & Giro
-Lots of side characters
-Witchy potions/Crystals
-Lots of teasing
-Sweet characters
-Ending had room for the characters to relax/connect after the climax

Neutrals/Criticism:
-Focus was on multiple couples at once, a lot was happening and this didn't allow for deeper exploration/Relationships were surface level because everyone had a pairing around the same time

Quotes:
-"Beauty and the beast was my favorite childhood movie, and if Severin was my beast, then I would gladly eat the food and read all the books"
-"For each layer of him he revealed, the more I found that I loved, desired. I wanted to protect him, cherish each layer"
-"my biggest regret in life would be to die without being yours"
-"Was it wrong that I liked being his meal?"
-"Feel free to taste every part of me"

This is the first book I have read from this author and I liked it, but I found some parts lacking. The characters are really sweet and form friendships easily, but things move quickly for most of the book and relationships aren't explored on a deeper level. The MCs and a lot of the side characters end up pairing off with partners at the same time. So the focus gets split between a lot of different couples. We are mostly told that everyone has a deep connection with their partner, but not shown on page through action. It was still entertaining and I enjoyed getting to meet the many side characters. This book is perfect for those looking for a cute, fluffy, but action packed story involving witches, vampires and werewolves fighting an evil coven.

I saw the early reviews for this and decided to give it a go. While Sweetest Blood was NOT for me, if someone was looking to dip their toes into paranormal stories this would be a great start. It gave the vibes of YA+ which isn't bad, but definitely not what I usually read these days.

The story was good, the writing enjoyable. But I had a hard time really getting into to it. 100% a me thing, I think. Felix and Severin were both entertaining mcs. Again, if you like paranormal stories or vamps this could definitely be for you! For me, 3⭐️

● fated mates
● witch/old vampire
● age gap (lol)
● witch coven tomfoolery
● standalone
● found family

Sweetest Blood is out 02/10. Here is the blurb!

Felix: When my sister gets cursed into a coma by a witch coven, I’m forced to pay them blackmail to free her of the curse.

Severin: Having finally found my fated, life seems perfect for the first time since I became a vampire. However, the coven who took his sister is way more sinister than we originally thought, and soon we find ourselves at war with the coven. I can only hope my new happiness will last. At least we will not fight them alone. Our allies, family, and friends will be there with us, making sure we all get a happily ever after.

SWEETEST BLOOD is a standalone paranormal romance between a witch and a vampire. Throw in a cursed sister and an evil coven, and there you have it.

This is a long book, and I'll be honest, I wondered how it could fill the book. But it does, and in such a way that you don't even notice the pages skipping by. I loved how Felix was a feeder and how he ended up with Severin, but I also loved how he was honest with Sev from the beginning. He is a saucy little minx, constantly teasing and pushing Severin's boundaries in the most perfect way. As for Severin himself, well, he's my favourite character of them all. He is cool, calm, and collected... until one of those he considers a friend or family is threatened.

Not only do Felix and Severin find their mates, but so do a multitude of others (don't worry, I won't name names!), so you get an all-for-one kind of story. I would say this is a surprisingly low angst story, considering the evil coven, etc., that is both a slow burn and fated mates insta-lust. Felix and Severin don't rush into a relationship (for reasons), but when they do, hold onto your hats, because it steams up pretty quickly!

The first book by this author I have read, and if their other books are like this, then it won't be my last. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me. 4.5 rounded up.

4.25 stars - This is a really sweet paranormal story about a young witch, Felix, who is being blackmailed when his sister is cursed into a coma and then kidnapped. To make the payments, he enters into blood contracts, which are mostly one year contracts to provide blood to a contracted vampire.

Felix takes things a bit further by sweetening his blood with potions which he thinks is the cause of his new vampire, Severin’s, immediate infatuation. They quickly decide to test this fate bond by eliminating the potion before solidifyng the bond.

There is a lot more to the story behind the blackmailing and Felix’ background and it takes the help of another coven and a pack of werewolves to get to the bottom of everything.

I loved the intricacies of the various relationships involved here and how the lonesome life of Severin and his brother gets turned upside down as their home fills with life again as their small circle and family grows.

This story is on the longer side, although it never really felt that way. Even still, things happen very quickly. Felix and Severin, as well as a few other fated mates, all occur over the span of one to two weeks. I’m not normally a fan of the instalove storylines, but it ends up working here.

This had a lot of interesting facets with the different species, various pairings, etc. I found I really enjoyed this and look forward to seeing more from this author.

This was a new to me author I took a chance on and I am happy I did. I enjoyed this. It was much fluffier than I expected with the big battle and what was to come. There were some darker parts, but the main theme was more light.

After an evil coven puts his sister in a coma and then turns around to blackmail her brother Felix into paying them off, Felix doesn't feel like he has a lot of options. This is what leads him to becoming a vampire feeder. It pays well and over the years he's had some interesting "masters." Being a witch means Felix is also able to sweeten his blood with a potion, making him very marketable to the vamps. It isn't until he meets his newest master Severin that he realizes this may be a problem.

I adored Severin. Even though Felix is honest with him about sweetening his blood, Severin is absolutely sure that the witch is his mate. I did think it was important to Felix for them to wait until the potion would have worn off to be sure and I was glad that Severin didn't push. In fact, all Severin wanted to do was to pamper Felix. He wanted him protected and cared for and loved. Who could ask for anything more?

We meet quite a few side characters that are sure to make you fall in love with them too, however the author had been adamant this book is a standalone and they made sure it was. All the characters you hope to see paired off end up doing just that. The only thing we don't get is their inner thoughts on the matter as this book is only told in Severin and Felix's POVs. The found family aspect of it all was very enjoyable and this book has made me check out the authors backlist for some future reads to add to my TBR.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable paranormal romance that balanced magic, danger and desire with surprising ease. The premise pulls you in quickly, but what kept me invested was the emotion in the story, particularly Felix’s desperation to save his sister and the lengths he’s willing to go to when he has no safety net of his own. His vulnerability makes him instantly likeable, and his growth as the story unfolds feels natural rather than forced.

Severin is a fascinating counterpart: ancient, powerful and composed, yet never cold. There’s a steady confidence about him that contrasts beautifully with Felix’s more impulsive energy, and their connection feels intense from the start without tipping into chaos. The chemistry between them is undeniable, with the romance leaning firmly into passion while still leaving room for tenderness and trust. I also appreciated the sense of found family that runs through the book, adding warmth and support around the central couple.

The plot moves at a good pace, mixing magical conflict with relationship development, and nothing feels unnecessarily drawn out. By the end, it delivered exactly what I was hoping for: a satisfying blend of romance, magic and a well-earned happily ever after. A great choice if you enjoy witch-and-vampire pairings with heart, heat and a solid emotional payoff.

I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review

Loved this story! I have a weakness for everything vampire and when they’re old and sexy? Even more 😁

I loved Severin and Felix. The moment Sev tastes Felix’s blood, it’s like he discovered paradise and never wanted to leave it.

Felix was forced to become a vampire feeder in order to save his sister from the curse that befell her. In order to pay the coven that did this, Felix resorted to feeding vampires and save the money he needed.

He just never expected that his last client would be his fated mate. At first he didn’t believe it because of the potions he sometimes used, but once they wore off, Felix could clearly feel the pull towards Severin.

Severin almost lost hope that he would find his fated mate. After more than a thousand years alone, finding Felix was the greatest thing that could have happened to him.

But finding his mate inadvertently brought trouble to his door. When a fight between species ensues, Severin, Felix and their allies, are forced to fight the coven that has been taking other witches against their will.

After suffering many losses, the team manages to defeat the coven and focus on rebuilding. I loved seeing the witches, werewolves, vampires and humans all working together.

Really would love for Peter and Giro to have their own book. I need more details about their live as fated mates 😏

This was a sweet and low angst story. I sure needed something light and fluffy today and this one delivered 😆

Felix had to make undesirable choices to pay the blackmail required to get the curse broken on his sister. Both Felix and his sister, Astrea, were witches without covens. So, they had no one to turn to for help. When Felix found a potion that makes his blood sweeter, he decides to become a feeder for vampires. It is all very civilized with contracts and money negotiations, one year only. He has two more to go - first Severin, then his brother Peter. Only Severin claims Felix is his fated. Felix is sure it is the potion but Severin knows it is not. Then Felix and Severin learn that the coven who cursed Astrea is more evil than originally thought.

The coven that cursed Astrea turned out to be more than evil. Fortunately, with the arrival of Felix, the household began to fill up and before anyone knew it, a family had formed, each with connections to call upon to help. Werewolves, witches, vampires and humans worked together. It was beautifully done and while the focus was on Felix and Severin, several other diverse love couplings happened. If you enjoy paranormal, fated mates and diverse couples, then Sweetest Blood is perfect for you.

Independent reviewer for GRR, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Felix signs up to be a donor for a year to enable him to save his sister, Astrea. Severin is his latest vampire. But Felix is changing the taste of his blood, to make it sweeter for the vampires. Severin, however, tastes something completely unexpected: his mate. But keeping his mate safe is becoming harder, as the coven who has Astrea is doing things totally against the rules.

I liked this, I liked it a lot. I've not read anything by this author before an I enjoyed the way the tale was spun.

Both Felix and Severin have a say, in the first person, so I liked that.

It's got some steam, and some danger. Some drama and some emotions. Not a lot of anything, but enough to make the book interesting.

I also liked that, besides Felix and Severin, we get two other romances! I'm not sayng who for spoilers, but I liked that we watch them fall along with these two.

I liked the two epilogues as well!

All in all, a good read, that made a wet Wednesday more enjoyable!

4 very good stars

All Felix cares about is saving his cursed sister and to do so he becomes a blood feeder to vampires and is a hot commodity due to a spell that causes his blood to be sweet and desirable. But then he meets Severin who says they're fated mates. At first Felix thinks it's because of the spell for his blood because how can a witch like him be wanted by a vampire who hads lived such a long life and unlike him has a coven and somewhere to belong? But then he starts to feel it too. But will those feelings Severin has for him stay the same when he finds out about what Felix did to make his blood so sweet? He'll just have to hope for the best.

Severin has finally met his fated mate. He vows to protect him and help him save his sister expect the enemy seems to be stronger than anyone anticipated. Thankfully he has his coven, friends and family on his side and won't be going down that easily. Now he has to fight for him and Felix to have a happily ever after despite the obstacles that try to stand in their way. This was a nice take on grimoires and fated mates. I also love a good biting, claiming all consuming type of love especially when some good spice is thrown in.

We step into a twisted bargain sealed in blood and desperation.
Felix is a witch with no time left.
His sister is dying from a curse he can’t break alone. The only cure comes with a brutal price — more money than he could ever hope to earn honestly. So Felix does the unthinkable.
He makes himself irresistible to vampires.
Through forbidden magic, he sweetens his blood, turning it into something rare… intoxicating… addictive. A witch willingly becoming a feeder is dangerous enough.
But he doesn’t have the luxury of fear.
When a worried brother hires Felix to feed his powerful sibling, Felix expects another transaction.
He doesn’t expect Severin.
One look is all it takes for Severin one of the oldest to feel it.
After centuries of waiting, Severin has finally found the one bound to him by fate.
But Felix refuses to believe it’s real. The pull between them must be the potion. The magic. A side effect of tampering with blood and desire. Nothing more.
Except the magic is alive.
As curses unravel and enemies circle, Felix and Severin will have to decide whether their connection is a spell… or destiny.
Because the truth is coming.
And blood always tells.

ARC review !

Was there a magic spell in this book ?!cause i couldn’t put it down!

I’ve been reading more of Regitse’s books and everytime i’m like, “How will she write an even better book that this one?” , and every time she does just that!! How you ask? Well I’m pretty sure she’s a witch cause damn this book was pure magic!

Severin is a vampire who’s over a 1000 years old, who gave up on love cause what’s the point if everone around you will die one day?

Felix is a witch, who’s sister is under a spell by an evil coven, and has been in a coma for years. So Felix needs to be a feeder , someone who is under a contract for a year to be a vampire’s exclusive blood source , to pay for his sister’s freedom. His new feeder contract starts and he gets to live in a castle for a year with his new , very handsome , vampire… Severin.

What will happen when fate is on their side? Will he be able to rescue his sister from the magic coma?

This book was so full of plot twists, action, delicious spice , fated mates , and all the paranormal goodies one could hope for !

Regitse Liljadorff gives us an original look into the paranormal world and fated mates. Two lonely men. A thousand year old vampire, Severin, has shut himself away from the world, tired of watching friends and lovers age and die. A rare male witch, Felix has a life on hold. With a cursed sister and a blackmailing coven, he goes from one vampire master to another, a walking blood bag, in order to raise the money to keep his sister in a private hospital and the coven off his back.
This is a fast moving, low angst story with a mystery to solve and a lovely world build. Severin's wooing of his fated one is a slow and sensual dance. He's supported by his House Boss, Dina and brother, Peter. The addition of a wolfpack brings a delightful found family dynamic.
The author dusted off a somewhat worse for wear trope, freshening it up with a unique point of view. And a fun, flowing writer's style. Enjoyed it immensely. Looking forward to more.
I received an advanced copy of this ebook from GRR and this is my review.

Felix and Severin’s story is full of action, suspense, drama and sweet and funny moments. Regitse has done a great job at story telling and creating all the characters. One thing I loved about this story is that along with the main characters, all the side characters also got their HEA. I didn’t have to guess or get antsy to find out what happened with all the amazing side characters. Felix and Severin’s connection is intense (in a good way) from the beginning. Severin will go to any lengths to keep Felix and his loved ones safe and happy. It was sweet to read how protective, possessive and obsessed they both are for each other. Plot twists and revelation of secrets / truths kept me on edge of my seat throughout the book. I will absolutely recommend this book as it’s very well written with amazing characters.

P.S.: I wanted to avoid spoiling the story, so I kept the review concise.
