About the author

Shannon L. Dearing was raised in Westlake Village, California and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, then spent several years studying at Los Angeles City College’s renowned Television/ Film program. She has worked on several film projects in many capacities: directing, writing, First Asst. Director, Etc.. Shannon has been writing since grade school. Over the years she has written several screenplays, poems and short stories. She is wroking on the Lia Fail series as well as several Stand alone projects. Shannon currently lives in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, CA

Kate Flannery is kind, loving and beautiful, but her luck with men has never been an easy one.
One night she ventures out with her best friend to an art show.
Matt Eisner is a very sexy and attractive artist to whom of which needs representation of his art.
Lana, Kate's best friend just might be the woman to help him out and he see's an opportunity to have the best of both worlds once he lays his eyes upon Kate.
Will Kate finally be the "ONE" .... or is he out to let her down like the others......

I loved this pen and paintbrush short. I want more of Kate and Matt NOW! I am hoping S.L. Dearing will give us the pleasure of hearing from these two beautiful souls again.

With Kate tagging along with her best friend to an art show, where her friend is trying to get the artist, Matt. While Kate doesn't know the art she is looking at is Matts, he approaches her and starts up a conversation. Can it be love at first sight, or will Kate just try to help her friend out to try to land the arts, or will she land him instead? This is a great short read, that will leave you wanting more about Matt and Kate!

This is a very short, but sweet read. I loved Kate, there was just something about her that gave her a very realist feel towards her.

Matt’s character was so sweet and cute! I was really rooting for him right from the start.

The chemistry between the two was just off the charts, and I really loved how Dearing was able to pack an emotion filled story in such a short amount of pages.

Overall, I would recommend this story to anyone who is looking for a quickie lunchtime read that will make you feel good!

A wonderful story about two artist coming together. This is another great read from SL Dearing. I love the interaction of the characters. Actually had me crying at some points.
