Ivy Smoak is the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon #1 bestselling author of The Hunted Series. Her books have sold over 4 million copies worldwide.
When she's not writing, you can find Ivy binge watching too many TV shows, taking long walks, playing outside, and generally refusing to act like an adult. She lives with her husband in Delaware.
In this book we get to see Zoey’s story. Zoey has some secrets that come out as she starts a relationship she never knew she always wanted. We still get to see Emma as she tries to move toward her happily ever after. A new character is introduced and she is very mysterious.
This book is filled with mask questions, wine courage, wet meet cute, flickering lights, dinner party confusion, pizza kisses, extra creamy doughnuts, twin choker, forced secret, settling down arrangement, jealous strangers, new town crushes, rooftop bossiness, Egyptian bank heist, hidden Greek identity, old is forever, midnight blackmail, and coin cure.
I can’t wait for the finale in book 3 to get answers to all our questions. Thankfully we don’t have to wait long.
After finishing this book I am certain that this is where I left off. I couldn’t tell you which point I finished when this was still on Yonder but I felt like it was before the heist at the bank, or maybe it was this whole book? It must be why this one was better than the last one because I didn’t remember it as much as the first one. Emma and Zoey still acted immature and annoying and that’s always going to be a factor until I finish the trilogy. I can’t escape it because Ivy decided to make both women act like teenagers and dramatic. This book pretty much had sex the entire time in it. I didn’t hate this aspect but it started to just be unnecessary and lost the sensual appeal and just felt like an everyday occurrence, like it was normal and just faded in the background. I do think that maybe this is where Zoey’s wheelhouse needs to stay because I found her less annoying in this book. Emma was too but only because she’s settled and isn’t pining for Callum anymore so there was no need for her to act lost without him. I did struggle a bit in the beginning of this book because Zoey kept poking the bear regarding supernatural creatures and digging into things she shouldn’t, dragging Emma with her. I was annoyed by this but at the same time it did bring back my initial interest in this trilogy because I couldn’t remember everything so it was a nice refresher. She still acted needy and wanted all the attention on her but she didn’t bother me as much. I don’t know if it was because I was used to it, or if Ivy toned it down. I also struggled because I remember reading the beginning and middle part already when it was in Yonder so I didn’t forget those situations and I was frustrated because I couldn’t just bypass it and go to where I left off since I didn’t remember. I got back into the lure I felt with this series when Elias leaves in a frenzy and Kebe makes her appearance. From there, I enjoyed the book again. It was back to figuring it out as we go and doing detective work in our head, just realizing that something is off with Kebe and Elias with ideas that went back and forth between Zoey and Grudge. Honestly, I think this book should have focused on Zoey, Bennett and the werecats with more emphasis on King, Elias and Kebe but maybe that’s what the third book does. With Emma and Callum, I feel like their story is essentially finished. However, the proposal and closure on whether or not he’ll change her was a nice touch so after thinking about it, maybe not completely dismiss their story but now I feel like they are invested because of the cure situation. Regardless, this book came a long way since the first one and from here it’s all new information to me because Yonder didn’t go further than this book so hopefully the story continues to improve and I end up liking the third book too. I ended up giving this a 4 because I regained the allure I lost when I read the first book again and even through there was some frustration with this book, the fact that my interest got piqued again is enough to bring it up to a 4, the mystery of this book got revived and I’m curious to see what comes out of it.
The Crooked Point series continues with Marked by the Pack as Zoey, after being friend zoned by Bennett the banker decides to take matters into her own hands and make a play for his guy pal Otto, at which point this author really puts her foot on the sizzle and spice accelerator and has our intrepid heroine getting down and dirty with Otto…..and Ace…..and his twin Huxley – a greedy girl our Zoey! Yep, we’re talking full on orgy although there were also elements of one on one and twin teaming. In between the smut fest Zoey was worried about her bestie Emma and her blossoming relationship with the town’s resident vampire Callum concerned he might decide to snack on Emma and not in the polite way. Maybe she should’ve been a little more concerned just who she was getting up close and personal with, after all Crooked Point seems to be a town that attracts those of a paranormal bent. Some of Zoey’s secrets were revealed namely how she really makes her money….or possibly that should that be makes her real money as it was obvious her day job as a fitness instructor wasn’t bringing in enough to fund her life style she also should’ve been a bit more discreet in what she revealed to her clients as, asking them for advice might have the result of bringing yet more danger to the town and Callum and the pack in particular.
With a cliffhanger ending as Zoey and Emma teeming up to save their loves with the help of mysterious newcomer Kebe. Is she friend or foe? Witch or vampire/shifter hunter? The jury’s still out on that one but my spidey senses are tingling and I can’t wait for the third book in this quirky, supernatural trilogy to find out exactly who or what she is?
If you haven’t read book 1, Bitten by Desire, you need to. This is book 2 of the trilogy. In book 1, we are introduced to Callum, Emma, Zoey, and the Bank Men, let’s call them. Callum and Emma take center stage in book one while her best friend Zoey is the primary in book 2. But we read about all of them throughout both books. I would suggest you read the blurb first before proceeding. Now that’s out of the way…
Zoey moved to Crooked Point for a new life. A small town, safe, normal..or so she thought. She runs an internet page where people subscribe and she provides content, mainly adult content. She met the Bank men and always thought they were good looking but didn’t think she had a chance; she was in the friend zone. But she was sick of the friend zone and puts a plan in action. Callum and Emma keep warning her away from them, Otto especially, but she wasn’t exactly listening. And she liked Otto.
Plan in place, Zoey heads to Otto’s place for dinner. She learns that Bennett, Ace, Huxley, and Titan also live there. (The Bank men) And during that dinner, she finally learns their secret…or so she thinks. But that is only the beginning. As each day passes, more and more questions surround Callum, the bank men, her clientele, and the town of Crooked Point.
Whew…spicy! Bitten by Desire and now Marked by the Pack are both very steamy adult reads. Both are meant to be fun and entertaining, and that’s exactly what they deliver, entertainment. Can’t wait to finally see how it all ends and to find out what all is going on in this small town.
Another Ivy Smoak book that held me hostage! It had my undivided attention and had me so willing to be marked by the pack like Zoey!
Oh, boy! Wow! This book is packed with heat, wit and super sexy characters!! I never thought I would love Zoey this much and be super happy for her!!
The bank boys are scorching hot! Like, they make me fan myself every time they’re on the page! Each one so unique and just as lovable! Otto, I think, is my favorite! He is such a golden (cat) retriever! But I think the twins are the hottest of them all because you get two in one! Talk about a sexy tag team! Haha! Bennett is sweet and caring and hot! Did I mention hot so many times already? And there’s Mr. Mysterious Titan! I’m looking forward for more spicy action with him in the third book!
This book has all the fun halloween adventures but make it extra spicy!! It will make the readers want to find their own supernatural hero! It’s full of love! I’m so happy for Emma and Callum. They’re the sweetest together!
There’s no better book for Halloween than this!! I just knew I was going to love this book mainly because of the author, but, oh boy, I wasn’t expecting it to consume me this much!! Get a copy of this 5 star read and have a happy spicy Halloween!
5 boyfriends, a vampire and a new girl in town. Zoey is confident and sure of herself but something is missing. Revealing her true self has been difficult for her, even to her best friend. And although she knows there’s something spooky lurking in Crooked Point, she can’t help but be drawn to the unknown of it all. What started out as a college incident turned out to be her livelihood. She was good at one thing and that was giving men what they wanted. Otto, Bennett, Huxley and ace all see what she brings to the table. But Titan? He’s suspicious and doesn’t cut her slack. He pushes her to a breaking point only to break himself. Dating 5 guys at once is a dream for Zoey. But could their darkest secret scare her away? Will she be able to accept them for who they are? Emma is her true ride or die. Along for every shenanigan Zoey comes up with. And who knew callum would be the guy Zoey turned to. Kebe makes her way to town but there’s something off about her. Hopefully we find out in the next book what her game is.
🩸✨ Marked by the Pack (Crooked Point #2) is the kind of Halloween romance that sinks its claws in and doesn’t let go.
As an ARC reader, I got early access—and trust me, this one delivers. We’re back in Crooked Point with Emma and Zoey, two besties caught between love, secrets, and supernatural drama. Zoey’s juggling her double life (trainer by day, influencer by night) while crushing on Bennet, the bank manager with a broody vibe and a very non-human secret. His employees? Also not your average small-town staff. 👀
Emma’s romance with Callum is heating up, and Zoey’s determined to uncover what Emma’s hiding about Bennet’s crew. Cue spicy scenes, laugh-out-loud moments, and that nostalgic Ivy Smoak energy from Empire High / Society / Single Girl Rules.
💀 If you’re into: * 🐺 Shifter romance * 🧛♂️ Vampy twists * 💋 Reverse harem tension * 🏡 Small town secrets * 💔 Second chances * 🎃 Halloween vibes * …this book checks every box. I didn’t want it to end—and now I’m counting down to book 3 dropping Oct 2. If you’re a Smoak fan, Crooked Point is your next obsession.
This story mostly follows Zoey and her new love interests! Yes, that’s right, multiple partners. But in keeping with the mysterious quaint little town of Crooked Point, there are secrets, intrigue and more of a supernatural element. Where there is one supernatural, there’s more to follow. Zoey has found her perfect mates; she and her mates bring the heat and boy do they sizzle!!! The spice level is through the roof but all is not what it appears to be in this “too perfect” little white picket fence town and in a new stranger in town. Zoey teams up with Emma to unravel the mysteries of Crooked Point, let’s see what other secrets will be revealed and what other mysteries will unfold. It’s a journey you will want to embark on!!
This is Zoey's book, it's book 2 in the trilogy. I loved finding out more about Bennett and his best friends who work with him at the bank. When Zoey starts dating one of the guys she finds herself in a peculiar situation. As it turns out, the men like to share the same woman and luckily for them, Zoey is really into this. Lucky gal indeed! But the men have one more secret and it's Huge! Are there more paranormal creatures in town than just vampires? Zoey is about to find out. Will she be able to handle the truth? This book is so great and if you're unsure about reading paranormal romance, this is a wonderful series to get your feet wet. It's very well written and wonderfully entertaining. Loved reading this so close to Halloween.
Marked by the Pack is the second book in Ivy Smoak's Crooked Point series and it is not a standalone. I repeat, it is NOT a standalone! Bitten By Desire, book number one MUST be read prior to diving into this story. Ms. Smoak keeps the suspense going with Emma, Zoey, Callum, Bennett, Ace, Huxley, Titan, and Otto. There are more questions than answers, and some new characters that make you think that what you know, isn't real. There are many twists and turns with this story, and it'll keep you guessing throughout. Of course, there are lots of laughs, some "you can't be serious" moments, and Ms. Smoak's signature sexiness and heat. It all combines for a story that you cannot put down. I can't wait for book three! 5 stars
I love the best friend so much, she is absolutely hilarious! I’m so glad she got her own story and to be able to continue on with both hers and Emma’s pov, LOVE!! Best comfort read ever!
I love every single character in this series but man.. Huxley is just perfection! I love him and Callum so much! The way I am obsessed with these characters and to find out the mystery of it all. It’s all so intriguing and keeps you on your toes! I had to hold back in reading too fast cause book 3 isn’t out yet.. that is a serious tough feat! I need to know more. I need book 3 stat!!!
**two stories in one • second chance vampire romance • reverse harem shifter romance • spooky halloween vibes • small town
Oh my gosh where to start! Book 2 is an enemy to lovers polyamory or sorts. Not all are enemy’s per se but they aren’t friends either. Zoey is so ditzy it makes me kinda sad for her. She overthinks and over reacts and at the same time doesn’t really think things through. She wants so badly to get her own happily ever after. She almost believes it doesn’t exist. Emma tries to talk sense into her but that doesn’t really work. Kebe definitely leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Not sure really who she is yet, but She’s giving bad vibes. Titan is by far my favorite. I can’t wait to see what happens next. On the edge of my seat as always. ❤️
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
My heart was racing throughout this entire book from the camming to spicy scenes to the girls getting into circumstances that they really shouldn't be in!! Emma & Zoey are back and on fire in book two, I love how the book is from both of their POV and we can get up, close and personal with their wild antics. Emma & Callum are on the right track now with all their secrets out in the open and Zoey is about to find out all about the other secrets in Crooked Point. I absolutely love Otto, he is so adorable. I can't wait to find out what happens with Titan, he has a lot of grovelling to do! Bring on book 3 so all the mysteries are out in the open!!
I don't know how Ivy does it. She writes the books that make the romance world sing. Marked by the Pack is the second book in the Crooked Point series, and it is so worth your money and time. Marked by the Pack is funny, exciting, definitely romantic, spicy, and full of twists and turns. It is also a unique story. I've never read anything like it. The supernatural characters are just believable and sexy enough to hang on every word. I highly recommend this book. The characters are lovable, the guys are sexy, and there is even a female character to love to hate. This book has everything you need to dream away the afternoon. Thanks again, Ivy! You rock!
this is book 2 in the crooked point series, i defiantly recommend that you read book 1 first so you can follow the story, its another great Halloween, get cosy under a blanket read, i adore Zoey she crazy, open minded, knows her own mind, and noone can come up with a mad scheme like she can lol now that Emma is finally settled, this book focuses on zoey and her relationships, this book has a lot of spice and i love it, we see a lot more the guys from the bank and im all for it, while secrets are revealed when add to the mix newcomer Kebe and you have even more secrets, lie and mysteries,
OMG this series just keeps getting better! Also my wish came true that I absolutely needed a book for Zoey. We have a double POV this time, one being Emma and the other being Zoey. It’s so much fun seeing things from different perspectives while also giving us a look into both their separate love stories. I will say that I was not expecting how Zoey actually makes her money and good for her LOL. I mean she’s literally perfect for the bank boys and the way she found out the real secret! Obviously we still get lots of laughs but good lord the spice! I cannot wait for the final book!!! I have soooo many questions!!
This book, the second Crooked Point Series book, is told mainly from Zoey's point of view. There are still viewpoints from Emma's point of view as well. We get a background on Zoey's history and why she doss some of the things she does. She has fallen for the men from the bank, mainly Otto. But the other guys fit on as well. In this book, Emma and Zoey are focused on finding a cure for Callum. Zoey also finds out the secret of the five men from the bank. The book ends on a cliff hanger and I can't wait to find out more. This series is different than other books Ivy has written, but it is definitely a well written. book. You will not be disappointed.
It's BFF Zoey's turn in Marked by the Pack. She tried setting up Bennett with her bestie, Emma, but that was never gonna go anywhere when Emma's always loved Callum. Zoey had a crush on Bennett but never saw herself as the settling down type and that's what Bennett was looking for...not just for himself but to share with his best friends as well. Bitten by Desire had spice, this book is on fire so if that mixed with paranormal is your thing, then drop what you're doing and order your paperwork or download to your e-reader (or both!), you won't be disappointed.
Thank you to Ivy Smoak and Ryan Hauge for this ARC!
Omg . I am so freaking obsessed with this absolutely amazing series and we’re only on book # 2 . This is Zoe and her guys story and man is she one lucky girl . To have 3 hot guys who are each so different vying for her attention. Who are willing to do anything for her . The steam , the humor , the witty banter , the off the charts chemistry, the secrets , the drama , the friendships , the perfect amount of darkness . I honestly could not devour it fast enough. And you can bet I lost so much sleep , but oh was it worth it .
Zoey has been secretly funding her lifestyle in an unexpected way but in some ways, it has prepared her to deal with what's to come. This second part of the series is intriguing as Bennett, and the guys play a bigger role, and more information is given about them. Steamy and spicy with a little bit of mystery and new characters was just the start to this plot. The small cliffhanger at the end, however, leaves me with unanswered questions and a desire to have more.
With Emma now happy in a relationship with Callum, Zoe is secretly seeing Otto. Obviously although aware that Callum is a Vampire Zoe has no idea that Otto & his friends also have a supernatural secret. Emma is concerned for her friend but unable to tell her why. This book introduces us to Kebe but is she as she would seem?...... How will Zoe cope when she realizes Calum is not the only threat to their town? Again I mostly enjoyed this story, the characters are great. It's the editing mistakes that stop me giving five stars.
I loved this book more than the first! I thought it would be just the pack and Zoey but it was Calum and Emma too with some awesome new characters that made it even better. This one helped to make Zoey’s weird habits make sense and we got to see a new side of Zoey. I loved Otto in this one and I thought Bennett would be my favorite in it but Otto is 100% a top book boyfriend. I can’t wait for the last book. Only a few weeks to go.
This is book two in the crooked point. Book one is helpful to read as you are introduced to Emma, Callum, and Zoey. Book two is Zoey's book. This book is hot, it's sexy, it's refreshing to find a book that has a bit of a paranormal aspect to it that I enjoy. I'm not one to normally read a vampire book let alone any paranormal romance aspects, but Ivy does a fantastic job and created a sexy yet entertaining read that I will look forward to the next book.
If you haven't read Bitten by Desire you should before reading this because its interconnected. In that one we met Emma, Zoey, Calum, Bennett, Otto, Titan, Ace and Huxley. BOOK 1 IS Emma and Calum story. This book is Zoey and the rest of the men i listed above, story.
It is spicy, its paranormal. Its funny and keeps your attention even if Zoey is extremely naive. It ends on a cliffhanger and is very suspenseful. Great series cant wait till the next one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
Holy Hotness!!! I can understand why this book is titled Marked by the Pack!! No one can write a sexy story like Ivy.
This story surrounds Zoey, Emma’s best friend and her search for her perfect mate or mates! She finds exactly what she needs in Bennett and his pack and ends up getting more than she bargained for. Zoey constantly worries herself for Emma’s safety and her new relationship with Callum. What she doesn’t realize is where there is one supernatural element, others follow.
Zoey was refreshing as a character and even though her tastes were unconventional, she found exactly what she needed in her pack. What’s not to like when you have Bennett, Ace, Huxley, Otto, and let’s not forget Titan! Once Zoey is in this new arrangement, she soon finds it’s more than her secret that can destroy her newfound happiness. Be ready, the pages are literally sizzling I thought my iPad would explode. Zoey is on a mission to find the one thing which can cure her pack and teams up with Emma (who’s looking for a cure for Callum), and a mysterious stranger in town. As things start to escalate on their mission, they’re on a race against time. Just like all things Ivy, she loves to end things on a cliffy! Can’t wait to read the next one!
Love this reverse harem book. I think this was the steamiest book by Ivy that I've read so far. Im happy that Bennett and the other werecats found Zoey, I was intrigued by the bank boys in book 1 even though I shipped Emma and Callum. I've read these books since they were on the Yonder app, I can't wait to read book 3 to find out what happens with these amazing characters.
I loved this book more than the first one. It had more story, enough spicy scenes (without over doing it) and descriptions of the characters which I was lacking for the girls in the first book. The story had me absolutely hooked and I’m definitely ready for book 3 after the cliffhanger Ivy left us on!!! Amazing job on this series and storyline!!
So I was okay with this book except for two things…
1. I didn’t like that Emma had her own book but Zoey has to share her story. I know it flows okay but it bothered me that she didn’t get her time to shine because we were still dealing with the Emma and Callum situation from Book 1.
2. Titan. I can not stand him. I could have been okay without him in the series.
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Wowzer , Hot stuff Zoey who lives her camming life loved the life the boys are offering her. Will all that change though if they pull off the heist and find the coin?? And what is Kebe upto?? Who is she?? She turns up and is just excepted by everyone🤔 Not me lol, she's up to something😂
