I really enjoyed Nothing Fake About Us, Onome.
I liked the dual POV because I was able to enter both their heads and actually understand how they were feeling, and this one did it so well. I felt the story of Onome. She is a widowed single mother. I could feel her pain, and her strength.

Also, I loved the representation. Uche being albino added something unique and refreshing too. I am super glad to see more books have such representation.
My absolute favourite part was to the wedding event of the MMC’s cousin. That whole event, the vibes, the dancing, and all the side-eye and tension, if you know you know, I was smiling like I was there.
I really liked Onome’s child. He stole my heart completely. Easily my favourite character in the whole book.
I also like the strong spiritual influence. As a Christian romance novel, it did not shy away from that. It was soft, beautiful, and meaningful. And yes, no spice or smut, but honestly, it did not even need it. The story carried itself so well.

I rate this book a 4.5 ⭐. The author realistically wrote about grief from the loss of a loved one and especially when the cause was not what one would have expected, that was highly commendable.
I enjoyed reading the book, the flow, character development, and dialogue had a good feel to it. I liked the MMC in the book. He did the chase lovingly and knew when to give the desired space, I also liked that about the book.
In all, this story teaches patience, trust, beauty in family and absolute reliance on the One who truly owns us.
