My father raised me and my twin as rivals, preparing us for the day when we would need to fight for his position… a fight that would leave only one of us standing.
My brother has been all in from the beginning, the power calling to him like a drug.
Me? I can’t even fathom challenging him. We shared a womb. He’s a part of me, whether he feels the same or not.
I have a plan, one where we both live and he gains the power he desperately craves.
My twin has a plan too, one that leaves me waking up in the arms of a stranger, marked as rogue, barely breathing, and with no idea how I got there.

I'm enjoying this series...just a little out of the norm...not the sweet meets but with the scented fate meets... Book 2 has the scary life or death events along with the bittersweet romance. Otto and Torin story will give you all the feels. The found family with the new pack will really pull you in and you know everything is going to work out alright for the couple. This is my first with an otter shifter and it was adorbs:) I highly recommend if you love hurt/comfort with dash of sweetness.

Rogue If You Want To is the second book in the Fur-Ever Mountain Pack series. This is the story of Torin an alpha wolf shifter and Otto an otter shifter. I loved the first book in the series and this one is even better. Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei Hart do such an amazing job as a writing duo. The characters and world building are amazing. I loved this book so much. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
Rogue If You Want To is the second book in the ‘Fur-Mountain Pack’ series. It stars Otto, an omega otter shifter, and Torin, an Alpha wolf shifter. This is told in first person by Otto and Torin’s povs.
The blurb doesn’t give much information as usual from these authors. It doesn’t even tell you who’s speaking, but it’s Otto who has a twin brother. They were born by c-section and removed at the same time so no one knows who the next in line for Alpha would be. Otto doesn’t want to be leader and would happily give the title to his brother. But their father has pitted them against each other since they were born. Otto’s brother hates Otto and wants to see him dead. He arranges a slow death for Otto, but Torin scents blood and his ‘mate’ and searches for Otto.
Torin has been raised as a human. He didn’t know he was a shifter until he talked to his neighbor who taught him as much as he could until the neighbor moved away. Since Torin never grew up in a pack, he doesn’t know the rules of pack. I didn’t care for Torin because he acted immature, and since he didn’t know how to behave in a pack with an Alpha leader, he tended to be demanding and disrespectful.
I liked the way the plot played out for the first three-fourths of the book. There was tension from the Mountain pack in whether to let Otto and Torin stay since Otto was rogue and would bring trouble from his brother. The couple adjusted to their living in the pack while Crevin the Alpha, and Auden the past Alpha, investigated what was happening with Otto’s old bevy. The last quarter of the story was boring. Once the situation with the brother was finished, it was just Torin and Otto mating and having the baby. My mind drifted and I had to re-read what I just read. It didn’t help that there was a tremendous amount of monologue in this book. Instead of using action or dialogue, the authors would create a scene, have the characters interact for a short bit, then have Torin or Otto switch to inner monologue by going, ‘and Crevin decided…’ continuing with pages of monologue. There would be a minimal amount of action and the rest would be told to the readers instead of shown to the readers. There is far too much telling instead of showing. It wasn’t so noticeable in the beginning because there was more action, but once the climactic scene ended, everything else was plain and the monologue was much more noticeable.
Part of the last part being bland, had to do with the authors backsliding into their usual problem of having both character voices sound the same. Before the confrontation, the voices were different. Torin’s was immature, pushy, impatient even towards his wolf, and just obnoxious. Otto’s was scared, worried that his brother would endanger the pack. He felt responsible for many problems. But once the confrontation was over and the two mated, everything calmed down and their voices were the same. The authors need to practice consistency with the character voices and continue them to the end of the story.
There was another character inconsistency I found annoying. In the first book, Auden was the original Alpha and lone member of the pack until Crevin and his mate arrived. They were in trouble and Crevin was a rogue also. But Auden urged them to stay, happy for them to join his pack of one. Auden was gruff, but not mean. In this book, there’s one scene where Crevin invites Otto and Torin to stay with the pack, and Torin notices the body language of Auden that indicated he didn’t like that idea and was angry about them staying. Why did the authors write Auden inconsistently? In the first book he wanted to help shifters without a pack, and wanted Crevin to stay, but suddenly Auden has a personality transplant and isn’t like he was in the first book, no longer wishing to help another rogue and his mate, besides being overly aggressive when he wasn’t that bad in the first book. Again, consistency is a weak link in the writing of this author team.
When I started reading Rogue If You Want To, I thought this was going to be a great read. But the further I went a long I noticed more issues. By the time the conflict part was over and I read the last quarter, this turned into only an average story for me. I give this book, 3 Stars.

A rogue otter. A lone wolf. Choosing forever, together.
When omega otter shifter Otto gets marked rogue by his twin and cast out, survival’s the only thing left. Wounded and barely holding on, he’s found by Torin, a lone alpha wolf with quiet strength and no pack to call his own. In the shelter of Stoney River, Otto starts to heal, but some scars run deeper than they seem.
Torin’s spent his life on the move, always on the edge of something but never inside it. Meeting Otto shifts everything. The bond is undeniable, but trust takes work. While Otto relearns safety and finds his voice, Torin shows up for every quiet, messy, and meaningful step. Together, they don’t just survive. They start building.
But the past doesn’t stay gone. Otto's old world presses in, and what rises from it threatens what he’s started to claim. With strength, loyalty, and love, he and Torin face what comes and choose something better. Not just survival, but a life that’s truly theirs.
Otto grows from guarded and grief-stricken to someone who leads with quiet courage. Torin becomes more than a protector. He’s a partner, grounding their future in something real. What starts as fragile becomes fierce, shaped by trust, choice, and a love that holds steady no matter what.
A steamy, emotionally intense, fated mates MM shifter romance featuring a rogue otter, a lone wolf, mpreg, found family, soft alpha energy, trauma recovery, and quiet domesticity. It explores survival, healing, identity, justice, love, and the long road back from betrayal. It’s about reclaiming yourself after being broken, choosing gentleness in a world that demanded hardness, and building a future you never thought you’d have.
A wolf shifter, an otter shifter. One running from a life he doesn't want, the other from one he doesn't completely understand.
Torin was abandoned as a baby, left with a human mother who raised him as her own. It was only as a young teen he learned he was a wolf shifter, with the help of his kind, elderly neighbour. With that neighbour now in a care home and his mum having passed nothing is keeping him in the town where he grew up. He needs to find a place where he truly belongs. Which he does, through chance or fate he finds a pack where he can belong, where he can have a home. Along the way to his future home he smells his mate...
Otto and his twin have been raised as rivals for the role of Alpha. Honestly Otto is happy for his twin to take the role but the other otter shifter seems to hate his brother and, along with their father, intends to make Otto's life hell. They will have to fight to the death before long but rather than let that happen his brother has him nearly killed which is how his Alpha finds him. Taking him back to his new pack so he can try to help him heal, help him find his otter again, Torin will do anything for his mate. Will Otto accept his mate, will the pack accept them both or is it bringing too much trouble to their doorstep?
I love these shifter stories, they all guarantee a cute and heartwarming HEA but this one also shows a darker side to the life of shifters and their communities and whilst I am all about happiness and light in my reading material the less than perfect world of this story drew me in, it made for a great, unpredictable story line and compelling read.
This is a Great Story to Read!! This is the second book in the Fur-Ever Mountain Pack. Torin is an alpha wolf shifter. He was in high school when he learned that he was a shifter. After his mother died he decides to move and find a place where he belonged. Otto is an omega otter shifter and was raised with his twin brother to run the pack. His father always put the boys against each other to see who would win. The loser would be punished and unable to shift for twenty-four hours. One day Otto was out running errands and got a call to meet his brother. When Otto showed up at his favorite place he watched his brother swim around in his otter form. Otto was setting up the snacks to eat when he was attacked. When Otto tried to run the bear attacked him some more, his brother slashed him as rouge and left him for dead. Torin was on his way up the mountain to go find the Stoney River Pack when he pulled over to enjoy the view he smelled something. His wolf said mate and they were off trying to locate the person or animal that was to be their mate. When Torin found Otto is was barely hanging on. Torin took Otto to the Stoney River Pack hoping that they could help. Will the Stoney River Pack help Otto??? Will Otto find peace????.

Rogue If You Want To is Book 2 of the Fur-Mountain Pack and follows very closely behind What’s Rogue Got to Do With It. On Torin’s day off from work he heads up the mountain to investigate the rumors of a pack that gives refuge to shifters in need. Torin was adopted at birth and raised by human mother. He did not even find out he was a wolf until he started shifting in high school and has never had a pack, something he badly wants now since his mother has died. On the way up, he smells blood and finds a dying omega by a creek. Torin recognizes the omega as his mate, wraps him up and rushes to the mountain pack to get them to try and save him. Crevan, the alpha, is a bit leery as Otto is marked as rogue on is shoulder and they have no idea how he got those injuries. And the pack worries that whoever inflicted those injuries were going to come looking for him. But they recognize him as an otter from a powerful family. Teaching Torin’s wolf to call out Otto’s otter is the only way to get Otto to shift and start to heal himself. But can they actually become part of this pack? Rogue is actually a bit less angsty than book 1 and is a sweet read. This is MM mpreg so of course there will be a baby and an HEA. Prior reading is not required but certainly helps.
This is the second book in the Fur-Ever Mountain Pack series. Each book is a standalone read. This is the story of Torin and Otto. Torin was adopted as a baby and didn't find out he was a shifter until he was a teen. He is an alpha wolf shifter who has no idea about pack or rules. Torin is adrift due to the death of his mother. He is searching for something but he doesn't know what. Otto is an omega otter shifter. He and his twin brother have been pitted against each other by their pack alpha and father. Not wanting to be alpha, Otto was trying to figure out a way to let his brother be alpha and he escape. But time ran out and he was ambushed and left to die by his brother. Luckily Torin came along and saved his life. But he needs help to keep Otto alive. So he approaches a pack alpha and asks for help. Thankfully he picked the right pack. They have no problem teaching him the ways of pack. And of course, all about mates. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. There is a lot of emotion in this book but it is not overwhelming. And as with all books by this author duo, there is a happy ever after. I enjoyed this book.

Get comfortable you won’t put it down until the page has been turned. Otto, an omega otter, was born a twin by c-section always told to become alpha he would have to fight his twin for the position since no one was older than the other but after beaten, marked a rouge by his twin who didn’t like him very much and left to either die or survive best he could. Torin, a lone alpha wolf, has never stayed still in one place, always on the move no pack to call home but the moment he smells blood along with his mate he knows he needs to get to him and finding him shifts something in him it makes him want to settle down. They start to build something he shows Otto it is okay to trust, okay to believe, okay to love, okay to use his voice and it is okay to want something more than his twin’s punching bag. Showed him just how much courage it took for him to heal and be the amazing man that has become not only to him but to others which aren’t the actions of an omega but an alpha but his past comes back will his fragile courage hold up in the face of his past, will he see he is much stronger with his mate he isn’t what they called him, will Torin stick around in the pack will they accept him as a part of them, and where are they headed to happiness maybe a little peace?
I'm very much enjoying this series. I always like mpreg and fated mates and I like that this series is quite different in that there's a few obstacles to overcome for the characters, it's not just straightforward meet-mate-baby. In this one Otto is an omega otter shifter - a species I have not seen before and I adore otters so I love this idea - who is thrown out of his pack after his father has set him and his twin brother as rivals all their lives. He is injured and lost and along comes alpha wolf shifter Torin, who grew up as an adopted human before he realised he was a shifter in his late teens.
Torin was drifting after his mother died and was lucky enough to end up near Stoney River. He found Otto almost dead after the attack but had heard about the Stoney River pack and he and Otto were able to stay there.
The ultimate outcome of the situation with Otto's brother is quite sad and it's good that they found the pack and each other.
Nice steam and loved the mpreg as well. Lovely story and I look forward to more in this series.

I loved this book. It was such a beautiful hurt/comfort romance. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Otto and Torin. Both carried pain from their pasts, but my heart especially broke for Otto and what his horrible family did to him. While Otto did what he could not to hurt his twin brother, Lutris was out to hurt him in his quest for power and the role of alpha. That made me especially sad.
Otto and Torin were meant for each other and found healing, happiness, and love together. I liked that Torin and his wolf had their own fears and insecurities to battle. It made him more relatable than a typical powerful alpha with a strong pack at his back. Otto had a lot of healing to do, as well as contend with the fear of his brother finding out he was still alive and coming back to finish the job. I loved the dynamic between the two of them and the way their relationship developed. I loved the supporting characters and how they were willing to help despite to danger it posed to them. This story was a journey and at some point, it comes full circle. I was completely hooked. 5 stars
Otto and his twin Lutris were made to fight each other since the they could walk their father decided that when he said they were to fight to the death for the alpha position which he didn’t want. Otto knew he needed to leave every time he lost he was beaten by his father but before he could do that he is beaten marked as a rogue and left for dead by a creek. Torin was raised by the human woman who found him on her doorstep with a note saying his name and to keep him safe, his neighbor helped him with him learning how to shift and some of his wolf. He is selling the house and donating almost all of what is in the house after his mother died now is roaming around doing odd jobs found a job in a kitchen. Overhears some talking about people living in the mountains so decides to go and see if he can find them and talk to them, on the way he smells blood and mate finds Otto dying. The pack isn’t sure if Otto is worth the risk because he is marked as a rogue and they have to decide what they want to do. Torin helps him shift to heal.

I really enjoyed this MM paranormal romance! Rogue If You Want To brings together two unforgettable characters: Torin, an alpha wolf shifter who feels adrift after losing his adoptive mother, and Otto, an otter shifter who’s spent his life being pitted against his twin by a cruel father. When his brother tries to dispose of him, Torin is the one who saves him—and of course, they discover they’re fated mates.
This book is packed with emotion: betrayal, loss, and the painful sting of family rejection balanced beautifully with the healing power of love, acceptance, and finding your true family. Add in the fated mates bond, steamy chemistry, and yes—a sweet mpreg storyline with a little baby at the end—and you’ve got the perfect mix of angst and heartwarming payoff.
If you love shifter romances with strong emotional arcs, protective alphas, and fated mates who finally find the love they deserve, this book will hit all the right notes.

Rogue If You Want To is book two in Dunbar/Hart's Fur-ever Mountain Pack series. Torin and Otto were raised totally opposite. Torin was adopted as a baby with a loving mother. His wolf awakened as a teenager and that's how he found out he was a wolf. He had no idea of pack rules or order. Otto was pitted against his twin from birth, only one could survive to be Alpha. Shifter law and expectations were literally beaten into him. Found family was a strong theme throughout. There was betrayal with attempted murder (by Otto's twin). Loss of a parent (Torin). High angst factor. Sanctuary and protection weren't automatic as the Stony River Alpha had a fledgling pack under his care. So there's an edge of uncertainty for our MCs, especially Otto. This series is a bit darker than the normal Dunbar/Hart fare. Still. an enjoyable read. It was lovely seeing Creven and Larkin again, and seeing how their pack had grown. A quick read, the story's intensity making it hard to put the e reader down.

"We both froze, locked in our own battles with our beasts until I was looking at my mate’s eyes through my own.'
It was fun getting to see the pack again and to see how the pack was growing.
This is book 2 in the Fur-Ever Mountain Pack series by Colbie Dunbar and the writing duo of Lorelei M Hart. I loved book 1 so much I've been anxiously awaiting for this one to arrive. When I saw this one on Booksprout it was a no-brainer.
An alpha wolf, adopted and raised as a human, is lost after his mother passed away. He's unmoored not knowing what to do next, traveling through small towns looking for something. Well he finds that something when he finds his omega mate in a bad situation.
Fated mates, abusive father and brother, found family/pack, mpreg
There was a blurb at the back of this book for the next one in the series that sounds really good. Unicorns, who doesn't like unicorns!
This series is wonderful. Creative, descriptive, beautifully written, and conveying messages of family, acceptance, and unconditional love. Torin and Otto come from two very different upbringing, yet they fit together without a hitch. Each one draws you into the story, with empathy and support for them in spades. Creven plays a significant role, as does Auden, in assisting Otto and Torin address the pressing issues from the recent past. There are moments of high tension, as well as those of shared joy and (yes) passion. It's a fantastic paranormal romance story that I highly recommend reading. While not necessary, you may find reading What’s Rogue Got To Do With It beneficial to understand the origin of the Stoney River Pack. It too is a magnificent story. I can't wait for Rogue Me Tender (coming spring 2026).
I received a gift copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
This book drew me in from the first pages. It is everything I have come to expect from Colbie and Lorelei. Sibling rivalry in the extreme. Shifter awareness awakening. An inevitable resolution. A pack that takes in all sorts of rogues. The Stoney River Pack is my kind of pack. A found family. Then there's Torin and Otto, wolf and otter. Perfect mates. Their descriptions are so vivid I had no problem visualizing them. I fell in love with them, so involved I couldn't put the book down. The supporting characters are well rounded, bringing the story to life. Yes, there is violence. These are shifters after all. But it is necessary to the storyline. It's there sex? Uh, yeah! Don't worry, HEA is assured. Put simply, you have got to get this book! Come on, grab it Now! You know you want it!.

I really enjoyed this book, and it is a second book in the series Stoney River Pack that tells of rogue shifters looking for a new pack. Otto is an otter shifter and an omega and he is pitted against his twin brother who is an alpha by their father to fight for the alpha position in their pack. Auto doesn’t want the Alpha position he just wants to live his life, when he is attacked and left for dead, is rescued by Torin who is an alpha wolf shifter and when he finds auto, he recognises that he is his mate. There’s a lot that goes on in the story, but Otto has to fight for his right to mate Torin and eventually has to fight his brother after he is challenged to the end. Otto wins the fight and some of his old pack. Come and ask him to come back and lead them but auto refuses and stays with his new pack, the and goes on to have a family and a happily ever after with his mate.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Be prepared to have your heartstrings plucked out with this book. Great chemistry and connection between Torin and Otto, both from different backgrounds but found themselves being mates through tragedy and trauma..can they overcome the obstacles and find their HEA??? Tense, keeps you on your toes. Torin, is adopted and finds out he is a wolf. He seeks answers to shifter life and who he is. Otto, omega is groomed to one day fight with his twin for leadership. He doesn’t want the job, his twin does and executes a by any means necessary treachery against Otto. Torin and Otto find each other but that is where the challenge begins. The challenges, the tension the treachery, the found family and the love make this a fit addition to the series and an amazing book to read. Great characters, good flow. This story keeps you rivited. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Torin and Otto story was endearing with a wolf and otter pairing that found their happiness against all odds. Their first meeting was heartbreaking as Otto was on the bring of death, and their past life had suffering and complications. It had danger, adrenaline, insecurities, betrayal, acceptance, and lots of love. I liked their pack, the beautiful changes, as well as the way they thrived with love, care, and dedication. I enjoyed the story, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
Otto and his twin brother are pitted against each other all their lives by their father. When his brother arraigned for a bear to almost kill him, Torin is there to rescue him. Going to the Stoney River Pack lands.
Their new pack is full of all kinds of shifters who are looking for a place to belong to. Otto’s brother shows up and causes drama, Torin is an excellent alpha to Otto and there’s a cute baby at the end of the book.

This is second book by the amazing duo Colbie and Lorelei in their Fur-Ever Mountain Pack Series. As always a sweet, knotty heat mpreg shifter romance that never fails to please! Superb characters and a captivating storyline with some angsty moments but leading to the expected HEA. Pure escapism.

My heart broke for Otto and the lack of relationship that he had with his twin brother. It broke even more over his brother's betrayal. Torin also made me cry when he lost his mother. I rejoiced when he became pack. And I love to see Larkin and continue.

I really enjoyed this story. This was such a wonderful story with a few scary moments but a fantastic example of found family and love. I can’t wait for the next story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Otto's father and brother caused his family to be destroyed but Torin managed to save Otto. I liked the way they found a home with the Stoney River pack. I liked how they mated and the life they built there.
This second story of the series wasn't quite as good to me as book one but I did enjoy reading Otto and Torin's story. They deal with a lot both together and separately but end up with a nice happily ever after.
