Her visions will either lead to my salvation or be my undoing.
The beast inside me roars to life, clawing at the confines of my body as her intoxicating scent fills my nostrils. Every cell in my being is on fire, desperate for a taste of her. But as she comes into view, I know I am bloody screwed. Not only is she human, but a Brooks no less.
My kind knows better than to get involved with humans. They are fragile creatures with lifespans that barely register on our eternal scale. And as a creature who goes mad at the loss of a fated mate, their mortality is not exactly a desirable trait.
But despite all this, I can't help but admire the girl's moxy. She is the next human representative of The Trinity, after all. But that doesn't change the fact that I cannot allow her visions to come true. She is too valuable to risk losing. If she dies, then so must I - for our fates are forever intertwined.
Rhone is a werewolf and vampire shifter paranormal romance that features a family of humans who can hold their own against powerful immortals. It has strong females, protective males, forbidden desire, deadly secrets, fated mates, loathsome villains, and lots of action-packed suspense. The Trinity continues with the next generation of Brooks in Lincoln.
Gladys Cross writes steamy and morally gray contemporary romances.
Her heroes are damaged, heartbroken, sometimes not all the way sane, and heart-stoppingly drool worthy.
She’s not afraid to tackle the mafia, bikers, your common criminal, vampires, werewolves, or even the devil himself.
When she isn’t dipping her toe into the darker side of love, she converts into mom mode. She’s not above instigating water gun fights, but her favorite pastime is beating her daughter and husband in a game of cards.

We discover early on in the book that Rhone and Jade are mates. But we get to delve more into the supernatural world after this. There is a lot of mystery and intrigue with this story. It was a page turner trying to figure out all the answers to the questions I had.
Jade was a very interesting character. She is a human who has visions and we get to decipher these visions with her and see how involved with everything she is. She was a very strong and determined character and I really liked how she held her own with the supernatural characters.
Rhone is a bit of a grumpy character, but I enjoyed seeing him interact with other characters. He has strong relationships with some characters and I enjoyed seeing him develop more throughout the book.
This is a must read. Vampires and Wolves and Humans. 3 factions who form the trinity. The human faction helps keep the peace and Jade is to be leader of it but there's a twist no one expects... she's a wolf mate and she's half vampire. With evil forces trying to take out wolves and vampires alike and a fledgling relationship. You are in for a ride with this book.
I really enjoyed learning about trinity and the world that this takes place in. There were some interesting differences with the werewolves and vampires. Overall great spice. I really fell in love with rhone
Good PNR book. Rhone is a wolf that finds his mate Jade how is a brook that oversees vampires and werewolves. It hits them both hard and fast, but there is danger coming to this group. Need to read to find out
What a fun interesting world this author has created. The main female character grew so much through the book. It took a turn I didn't see coming. Can't wait to dive into the next book
These fairly short novels will have readers enthralled in this world. The Trinity is a family that knows the secrets of the supernatural and vow to keep them secrets from other humans. The Brooks family has been doing this for years. Jade Brooks has visions and sees herself becoming the next in line to head the Trinity. Jade's visions have never been wrong. Her grandfather, Jack, takes the steps needed to prepare Jade for her ascension. Prior to the vision, Jade's brother, Tristan, was the training to take the lead. Jade must train with both the vampires and the werewolves. Jade goes to start training with the werewolves and immediately finds her mate. Rhone is the second in command of the pack. A mate bond between a human and a werewolf is uncommon.
Things progress. Not everyone is on board, especially when Rhone refuses to let Jade go to the vampire coven alone. Something is going on. A group of vampires tried to take the pack alpha's mate. Thankfully Jade had a vision and was able to stop them. The vampires, wolves and humans will have to band together to figure out what is going on. Ms. Cross can do everything it seems. She knocks the paranormal out of the park, and still keeps all the elements that readers love from her. This book is steamy. Rhone is just the protective, sexy beast that readers crave. Jade is strong and gets stronger as the book progresses. The twists are better than readers can imagine. Jump into this series.
Gladys Cross is another new author to me. I have had this book on my Kindle for a few weeks now. But, I have been putting it off because I have heard that this series is like True Blood and Underworld meeting, twisting together and having a baby. And I love both these series so I was very hesitant to read something that might shatter my enjoyment of each series on its own.
I did enjoy this book. Rhone is the Book one in the Trinity Series Order of Wolves, Vampires, and Humans by Gladys Cross. Personally I found it rather interesting reading and learning about the Trinity and the world that Gladys Cross had created for it to take place in. It was so fun seeing her take on the vampires and werewolves. The spice was great and Rhone is a great character and honestly you can't help but fall for him.
Very quickly in the book we realize that Rhone and Jade are meant to be together and they are made to be. This is where we dive into the world of the supernatural and we really get to learn more about this world.
Honestly, this is where we realize that there is more mystery and intrigue in the story then we first grasped. This book is such a page turner and you just want to figure out what is going on and what's happening and getting the answers to all the questions you have.
Jade's such a fantastic character. She's is a human but, she is a human who gets these visions that she has to figure out and decipher. And we get to go on this adventure of deciphering these visions with Jade and seeing how everything evolves. Jade's such an amazingly strong, determined, stubborn character. And even though she is human and she doesn't belong in the supernatural world, she manages to stand her ground and not back down against the denizens of the supernatural world. I find her to be a ray of sunshine.
Rhone on the other hand can be grumpy, I don't know how else to put it. He is grumpy. But, he is a lovable grump. And he has such an amazing way of connecting with everyone around him and his relationships with everyone else around him are just amazing and his character arcs and development is just phenomenal.
I really liked this book and I look forward to seeing where this series goes from here, thankfully I get to go on and read book 2 right away as I already have it on my Kindle. I honestly think you will like this book if you like True Blood and Underworld as this is a great mix of the two and this is a great paranormal romance with tremendous angst, an impossible love, fated mates, fun intrigue, a kick-ass strong FMC, you will not be sorry that you read this first book if you like all these tropes.
When Jade becomes the human representative for the Trinity of alliances between humans, vampires, and werewolves, she finds herself face-to-face with her future. Rhone wasn't expecting to find his fated mate in the fiery little human, but as they get to know each other, their barriers melt away. Jade and Rhone accidentally uncover a secret plot to strip the vampires and wolves of their supernatural abilities and turn them human. Banding together with their allies, they have to stop an all-out battle while trying to balance their growing relationship and Jade's uncertain future.
This was a good one! Rhone and Jade were a unique couple that faced some difficulties in their journey to their happily ever after. I like how they both had a supernatural side, and even though they were different, it just worked. Jade was super sassy, and I loved her take-no-prisoners attitude. Rhone had a good mindset about him, even if it was completely overruled by his burning desire to keep Jade safe at all times. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well and would love to read some of their stories. This one was fast-paced and well-written. Definitely gives True Blood meets Underworld vibes!
This book I feel I really couldn't get into. I loved the part about the main characters which are Rhone & Jabe. Their love story was cute. You have a vampire hybrid, that falls and finds her mate which is a werewolf. But everyone else I just was getting confused with & why they were involved in the story. Maybe the back and forth was alot. Switching from one character to another. I felt like the chapters were very confusing to me and my main force was about the main character.
The spicy between them is wonderful and love the build up with both of them .
I did enjoy the little drama that was in the book about Hannah and why everything was happening to her.
In this case I feel like book #2 was better then the first. Which sucked cause I really wanted to get into this one. But when a book has so many different characters and pulling you different ways and just wasn't for me.
I absolutely fell in love with Rhône and Jade, and the world Gladys created in this book! The Trinity is comprised of werewolves, vampires and humans, and is designed to keep peace between the three races. I’m a huge fan of books that revolve around the inner workings of werewolves, vampires and humans working together, and this one did not disappoint! I’m getting ready to read the next book in the series, and I’m excited to see where they will go from here! Highly recommend!
This story is a thrilling mix of werewolves, vampires and humans, filled with forbidden love, danger, and fated destiny. The tension between the characters is gripping. The stakes are high, and the connection between Rhone and Jade adds an emotional edge.
Perfect for fans of supernatural romance and the first in a new series.
Rhône is a wolf. He was summoned to a house to assist with something. He met his mate. There were many surprises in this book. I love him and his mate together. Rhône was the second in command on the wolf side and his mate was second in command on the human side.
