After the attack at the Aero Cup Opening Ceremony, shock turns to suspicion, and even Xay finds himself in the crosshairs.
With classes postponed and emotions exhausted, Xay and his friends retreat to the mountains where Shifu Wu was raised. There, they find peace in new ways to train, while Xay finally grows closer to Tyra.
But the city never sleeps. Sinister plots unfold and collide, and once it’s all over, New Meridian may never be the same again.
Loved this book! And what a twist at the end!!! Never saw that coming. Nor that the pebble that Xay got from Grandmaster Wu was anything more than a rock that he "took" from him. The author is doing a good job keeping the momentum of each book up he writes, so far, and this book is no exception. Love the fact that no matter how long Xay has been in a romantic relationship with his girls he has no problem letting them see just how much they affect him (i.e. he becomes a tongue tied idiot for them) and isn't (too much) embarrassed to show it and to know that they know it. And that they're good enough sports about it to not tease him too much about it. For anyone reading this review, if your reading this review for this book and haven't read the first two books yet and are trying to decide if you should read this series, please, yes, read this series!! This series, so far is really good! And each book is better than the last and from the sounds of it, the fourth book is shaping up to be just as good.
This book had so many amazing twists and turns,I had to back up and read some parts at least twice!!! A truly great series absolutely full of wonderful characters and intriguing world!!! I can't wait to see what awaits the MC and his growing family!!!
I love your writing keep it up my only complaint is that I finished the book too fast.... Imma need you to work faster on these please sir. Anyways this one was amazing well done I couldn't put it down I will impatiently wait for the book. Keep up the amazing work
The story was over all enjoyable. There were a few slowdowns and some parts that dragged but Other sequences more than made up for it. Then major plot twist at the end.
This is a wonderful story of love and adventure. A rapidly growing main cast that never disappoints. If you’re on the fence about this series get off and get reading! You will be glad you did
The world is very mystical, the various cultures and history behind them well written. The character development is moving nicely, and it is good to see there are drawbacks on MC. Looking for ward to the next book.
And the most special boy gets even more special. I'm all for a power fantasy, and I like a lot of the systems going on in this series but would also be perfectly happy if instead of adding more and more new powers and double secret special things to the character that he instead had some development as a person and maybe spent some time actually using the power that he started with, instead of spending all his time trying to develop and master new double secret extra powers.
Progression is great, character development is better.
That said, cool fight scenes and a neat world. You could read worse.
