Love, Unlisted

Love was never on the market—until she walked in.

Coleman is a grumpy single dad, a self-made real estate mogul, and a man who doesn't do complications. After a brutal divorce, the only thing he trusts are the walls he's built around himself—and the two little girls who depend on him.

Remi? She’s chaos in a band tshirt. Loud, passionate, and so far from his type it should be easy to stay away. But when she crashes into his life, all laughter and loyalty, something shifts. She’s not just helping with his kids—she’s undoing him.

One touch at a time.

But loving Remi means risking everything. His control. His carefully built life. And maybe… his heart.

She’s scared he’ll leave.
He’s terrified she’ll run.
And the ex who left scars on them both? She’s not done yet.

He’s a man used to closing deals—
but this time, the only thing on the line is forever.

I live in a beautiful river town in North Carolina with my husband, kids, in-laws and fur babies. I love to travel and books. If I am not reading one I am writing one. I love how a book can give you an escape from our normal world. You can be anywhere and become anyone.

I want anyone reading one of my books to remember this....
you are worthy, you are loved, you are wanted!

I have the privilege of being a beta reader for Jennifer and for this book and omgosh....This was a really sweet billionaire romance. The dad’s trying to juggle life with his twin girls after a messy divorce, struggling to make his girls happy after what they went through with their mother, and balancing his own emotions... and the nanny he hires just fits right into their lives, almost instantly. She is a vibrant, spirited woman who brings light and stability to their world, despite her own insecurities about being “too much” for anyone to truly love. The bond between the nanny and the twin girls feels genuine and sweet, especially as she steps up to protect and comfort them when their court-mandated visits with their mother turn difficult. Overall, it’s a cozy, feel-good read with a happy ending.

I could not put this down once I started reading! Remi is such a relatable character and I just loved this story. It’s so easy to fall in love with Paige and Payton, and I really enjoyed watching their development as the story unfolded. And, man, did I want to reach through the pages and knock Stella out…

Only reason this wasn’t 5 stars is because I wanted more… I think this book actually could have been longer. The characters were definitely well developed, but I think there could have even been more to Remi and Coleman’s story - more angst, maybe a little banter, maybe more scenes taking him out of his comfort zone.

I cannot wait for the rest of the books on this series!

Grumpy sunshine attraction is one of my favorites (of course), but one of the things I loved most about this book was the way Remi is able to make Coleman feel seen and understood. He is carrying the weight of the world and just needs someone to step up and show him “I’m not going anywhere”-and mean it.

Remi’s relationship with the twins was so endearing and brought me to tears more than once. Maybe I’m a bit like Remi 😉

Found family is also one of my absolute favorite tropes. You can never be too much for the one who truly loves and accepts you.

Thank you Jennifer Smith for the opportunity to read & review this ARC.

~ ARC Review ~

This was such a nice, quick-paced read that I really enjoyed—especially after finishing a heavier fantasy novel. One of my favourite aspects was how it handled the very real emotions that come with looking after children and growing attached—not just to them, but to their single, very hot dad too.

I loved that Remi was so considerate of the girls’ feelings and genuinely put them first, even when things between her and Coleman were uncertain. It made her character feel grounded and genuine. The way she was encouraged to be herself, and seeing how each character had their own distinct dynamic, gave the story so much heart.

Getting a glimpse into the other Kings of Lakeshore boys was also a fun bonus—it’s made me really excited to dive into their stories next!

The only downside for me was that the story moved a little too fast. While the pacing wasn’t a huge issue (especially given the mood I was in), I would’ve loved just a bit more angst and banter between the characters to really stretch out the tension and chemistry.

Overall, a sweet, emotionally engaging romance that left me smiling and wanting more from this world.

I really enjoyed this one! Remi is pure sunshine. She's chaotic, loud, and fun. Coleman is all grump and closed off after his divorce. Watching her crash into his life and slowly win over not just him but his twin girls was the best part of the book for me. The way she bonded with them felt so real and sweet, and I loved how she didn’t just brighten their days...she made Coleman feel seen, too.

It’s a quick read and super easy to get into, but I do wish there had been a little more angst and banter before they finally gave in to their feelings. Still, the chemistry was great, the family moments were adorable, and I had a smile on my face for most of the story.

It's a grumpy/sunshine romance with a super loving single dad, cute kids, and a too loud, too happy, too loving...too much FMC who changes everything. This is a feel good one to add to your list.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Heart-melting, swoony, and impossible to put down

This book had me hooked from the first page and holding my breath until the last. Coleman is the perfect blend of broody and tender—a single dad who has built a fortress around his heart, only to have it cracked wide open by Remi, the chaotic, fiercely loyal heroine you can’t help but love. Their banter is sharp, the chemistry electric, and the moments with his daughters absolutely melted me.

It’s more than just a romance—it’s about trust, healing, and finding the courage to risk your heart again. The emotional beats hit just as hard as the swoony ones, and the ex drama adds the perfect layer of tension. By the end, I wasn’t just rooting for Coleman and Remi—I was ready to move in next door.

If you love grumpy/sunshine, single dad sweetness, and a heroine who shakes things up in the best way, this is a must-read.

Love Unlisted is a heartfelt story about love, growth and the choices that shape our lives. Jennifer Smith has a way of writing characters who feel real and relatable. You can’t help but root for them as they navigate relationships, heartbreak and the messy in-betweens of adulthood.

What I especially loved was how the story balanced emotion with hope. It’s romantic without being predictable, with moments that tug at the heartstrings and leave you reflecting on your own life and connections.

🌶️ Medium spice level with intimate moments, but they’re written with tenderness rather than heavy detail, making it approachable for most romance readers.

Overall, this is an engaging, emotional and beautifully written book that I would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance with depth and heart.

The story of Remi interfering and bringing pure chaos to Coleman’s life is such a good one!

Remi is blindsided by Coleman mentioning this nanny position being a live in role, just as much as Coleman was surprised he made it a live in role in the moment! Coleman is unsure of her from the moment she gets there because they are complete opposites… but ya know what they say there! 🤭

There’s a lot of trauma and abandonment issues that the 10 year old girls have to work through, they are hesitant to let Remi in, and well… they’re emotional! But once they start to see Remi means she’s theirs and she isn’t going anywhere their relationship thrives.

Definitely read this one! It had me in my feels before the end. 🥹🥹

This was my first “billionaire” romance, and it did not disappoint!!!! I loved the dynamic between Remi and the girls. It tugged at my heart strings in a way I haven’t experienced in a book in a while. I was rooting for character growth and that dynamic with every page turn. Despite the shorter page length overall, it still had that slow burn quality that we all love!

My only irks were the multiple statements of “I’ve closed million dollar contracts…” and “I ____, I didn’t know I was ____” statements. It wasn’t bad enough to decrease the rating, but just something that caused a little twinge when I read it multiple times.

Other than that very minor critique - it was perfection, to me. I can’t wait for the next one!

This was my first ever ARC and I really appreciated the chance to have early access to a new book. Unfortunately, I just wasn’t a fan of the writing style. While the story itself was mostly enjoyable, I personally found the technical writing taking me out of the story a lot, making it hard to focus. I also felt like I sort of lost the characters somewhat toward the end of the story. As a step-parent, I did like the way she represented coming to love children who aren’t “yours.” Overall, I wish I could have gotten past the technical things to feel immersed in what otherwise would have been a cozy narrative.

Absolutely blown away by this first installment to the billionaires series. This story follows single dad Coleman (mmc), who is quiet, reserved, and predictable. Then comes along Remi (fmc), who he hires to nanny his twin girls. But Remi is anything but predictable. She's loud, outspoken, fierce, and everything Coleman isn't. She's everything he didn't know he was missing. The undeniable love that grows between Remi and the twins was beautiful. The slow burn was perfection in this story as well. I found myself laughing, getting teary-eyed, and rooting for these two from start to finish. I highly recommend checking this out. 💜

This is my 2nd 5-star review for Jenn! I absolutely loved this one! It was such a quick read.

Love Unlisted is the first book in the new billionaire series. This story follows a newly divorced single dad of twins and his live-in nanny. The nanny, Remi, brings much needed stability and love to the table. This helps create a bond between the twins and the nanny that is unmatched. Single dad, Coleman, struggles to accept the initiatives from the nanny but grows to appreciate the effort.

All around a wholesome story of undeniable love even when self-doubts try to get the best of Remi.

Tropes-
*Billionaire
*Single dad x nanny
*Grumpy x sunshine
*Found family

Fantastic book! Quick read but it sucks you in right from the beginning! I just wish it was a little bit longer - I feel like they could've been more to the story.

Coleman is your classic grumpy, divorced dad to twin daughters. Remi is the free spirt, sunshine nanny who moves in to help take care of the girls - which of course brings the chaos Coleman isn't used to.

Remi isn't just there helping the girls out, she's undoing all the walls that Coleman put up as well piece by piece until he doesn't recognize his life before Remi.

Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Grumpy single dad + chaotic sunshine = a swoony, heartfelt romance. 💕
Coleman’s protective heart and Remi’s wild energy made sparks fly, and the family moments with his little girls melted me. 🥹 The drama with the ex kept me hooked, though I did wish for a little more slow burn. Still it was such a warm, romantic read about risking it all for love. I truly appreciated the warmth I felt while reading, it doesn't happen often!

Thank you Jennifer Smith and Book Sprouts for the gifted e arc.

Wow!

Such a privilege to have been selected for an ARC and oh my days...this book is epic!

I love how emotional this book is, I love how expressive this author is and the bit that absolutely sealed the deal for me was all of the words in bold font. That extra emphasis on the words that were meant to hit home...perfect 🩶

Remi and Coleman were a written match made in heaven and I ADORED their chemistry and sense of belonging to one another.
Their instant family unit is perfectly written.

I loved this book! It had all the feels. It hooked you right away. It was hard to put down. I read way later into the night than I should have always a mark of a good book, but I needed to finish it. I loved seeing the characters from authors other series and getting a glimpse into their happily ever after. I will be buying this in a physical copy. Thanks again Jennifer Smith for another great read.

I couldn’t put this book down, started early evening and stayed up till the early hours to finish this book as I didn’t want to put it down. The story between Coleman, Remi, Paige and Payton was so good, from the very beginning you could tell remi was perfect to help the girls and be exactly what they needed with healing and beginning them back out of their shells. Loved how the love grew between Coleman and remi ❤️

A grumpy single dad trying to get his life back in order. A chaotic sunshine in a band tee. He never planned on letting anyone past his walls, but Remi isn’t just helping with his girls—she’s undoing him piece by piece. 💖💖

This was full of banter, heart, and just enough angst, this story is about second chances, healing old scars, and risking it all for forever. I couldn’t put this book down, and I simply loved Remi working her magic. 🪄

I couldn’t put this book down it’s a page turner. Love the characters and the whole plot.
There were a couple times I thought it wasn’t going to end good but I was shocked.
The characters made it seem realistic and put me in the place where it all seemed like it was happening.
Seriously go read this book.
Recommended to everyone. If you like pov from 2 main characters than you’ll like it.
