A Second Chance Holiday Romance
Dual POV/Slow burn/Cinnamon roll MMC with a dirty mouth/Big city girl returns to small hometown/Dysfunctional family/Cozy coffee shop

Divorcee Anne Pritchard’s world turns upside down the week before Christmas when she gets a call any child her dad’s passed.

Forced to return to her Maine hometown of Ivy Falls for the first time in over a decade to bury her dad, she runs into recently single ex-fiancé, Tennyson Moody at the quaint Café on Main she can’t believe is his (we’re glad to see he finally settled on something). Lonely Tennyson invites Anne to stay with him through the holidays, opening both Anne's eyes to a part of herself she’d long since forgotten. And all the while, the two remind one another of the beauty of the season and what they really want out of life.

That is, until an ultimatum brings their happy rekindling crashing down.

Will Anne be forced to return to life in Chicago—miserable and working under her ex-husband—or will she decide true love really is worth fighting for?

About the author

Kate Kimbrell

Kate has been in love with love as long as she can remember. She grew up running barefoot through the Ohio Valley forests, dancing around drum circles steeped in magic, and waiting for an angsty vampire to steal her away. Spoiler alert: he never did. A self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, Kate lives and breathes romance of all kinds—and the spicier, the better. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, 3 kids, fat cat, and chocolate lab. When she isn’t writing (amongst the chaos of it all), she’s reading—of course, dancing ballet and/or hip hop, working on her PhD in Literature, and probably drinking too much coffee.

I loved this book from chapter one! I’m a big fan of Kate’s writing and this one was no exception. It held my attention so much that my husband actually got completely ignored because I had to finish. The characters were so real and extremely relatable that I refused to put it down. It’s definitely a five star read and such a great holiday read.

Christmas in Ivy Falls
By Kate Kimbrell

I’m not much of a Christmas or seasonal reader. But right now I’m so grateful for a surprise text from Kate asking if she could send her book.
I needed this and didn’t know it. It’s that little something that has encouragement, friendship, family (found or otherwise) and most of all a warm love that makes you glad to be human.
You can tell, she put all that she is into Annie and Tennyson. They are living proof that good things come to those who wait. They are the reason behind love songs, also the reason behind smiles. To be able to enjoy this, is why I’m happy books are my love language.
This may be about Christmas, however, anyone can and will enjoy this book all year long. Thank you for sharing this story with us Kate. Bravo!!

I'm not normally a huge holiday book person and I'm not typically a second chance fan. All that to say, Kate has completely changed my mind on both fronts. This book was SO cute and sweet, absolutely needs to be on your list to read this holiday season.
