NOTE: There is more than one author with this name on Goodreads.
See here for the author of "The Old Astronomer", also known as "The Old Astronomer to His Pupil", that begins "Reach me down my Tycho Brahe..." and contains the line "I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."
This book kept me intrigued and wanting to know more. I feel like this could very well become a part 2 and I am curious as to backstories as well as what is to come after the ending! This was well spoken and you could tell the author knew how to keep the audience wanted to read more.
