It didn’t really even bother me that she was so young. What bothered me about her was she was my best friend’s younger sister. The rules of friendship meant I had to stay away. But she never was good at listening, and truth be told- neither was I. In a moment of weakness our lives changed forever. But then she left, and I tried to forget her and the fire she gave me. I was hers already, so now it was time to make her mine. I loved Sam since I was a girl. But our lives drifted apart. Besides, I always knew he thought of me as a silly little girl. How could I possibly show him I was different? Then one night I got my chance. The flames of passion seared our souls, making us one. But my trust was broken and the strength within me faltered. Scared and insecure, I left before dawn. But I couldn’t stay away. Sam was the only place I felt safe, so why was he resisting? I knew there was an age difference.
