Ready to make her great escape, Bailey Russo’s plan to permanently leave Serenity by the Sea is thwarted by her quirky landlord, and she finds herself tied to the town in ways she couldn’t imagine. She never meant to stay as long as she had, but Serenity’s seashore magic and Bailey’s growing relationship with her sisters lulled her like the rhythm of the ocean until now.
Desperate to keep his young son safe, Jack Billinger can think of only one difficult way out of the mess he’s caused—convince his grandmother to sell her bookstore. He faces an additional problem and it’s in the form of his grandmother’s flighty, unexpected, and beautiful tenant.
Bailey and Jack must navigate each other like ships lost at sea. Her free spirit determination to save the store rivals his practical resolve to sell. When the worst possible thing happens, they must put aside their differences or lose the chance to have what their hearts searched for from the beginning— love and belonging.
From an early age, Stacey Wilk told tales as a way to escape. At six she wrote short stories in composition notebooks, at twelve she wrote a novel on a typewriter, in high school biology she wrote rock star romances in her binder instead of paying attention.
But it wasn’t until many years later, inspired by her children and a looming birthday, that she finally took her story-telling seriously. And published her first novel in 2013. Since then, she’s gone on to publish fourteen more so women everywhere could fall in love and find an escape of their own.
She isn’t done telling stories. Not by a long shot. If you want to read her emotional and honest books about family, romance, and second chances, visit her at www.staceywilk.com
Neither Planned for Love, But It Quietly Found Them From their very first clash, Bailey and Jack seemed destined to be at odds. Both cherished Beth, Jack’s grandmother, but while he pressed her to sell her store, Bailey fought fiercely to protect it. Jack kept his pride like armor, hiding the truth that he’d lost his job, had no money, and had just discovered a ten-year-old son he never knew. Yet beneath the sharp words and stubborn standoffs, something softer began to grow—unexpected, uninvited, and impossible to ignore. Could they set aside old hurts and stubborn pride? Or would the tide pull them apart before they found their way to shore? This is a tender, quietly powerful story about two hearts searching for healing, a home, and each other—even when love was never part of the plan.
This is the third book in the Serenity Series, and I loved Jack and Baileys' heartwarming story. Not knowing where she fit into her sister's lives and feeling unsettled, Bailey was willing to leave Serenity by the Sea and give her a lousy ex, Mark a second chance in Colorado..... But circumstances stopped her from leaving as planned, and she started to spend more time with Beth and her grandson Jack. Can Jack and Bailey realise they have something special together? Wonderful storyline with great characters and absolutely loved the HEA. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, and I'm willingly leaving an honest review.
If you have read the first two books then you know this was the story of the youngest sister, Bailey. I loved learning more of who Bailey was. There are a lot of emotions in the book. There's recognizing one's shortfalls and growth. I look forward to the final book in the series.
