This may be one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. i could close my eyes and imagine the scenes taking place. It was so descriptive and emotional. The bond between family can never be broken. How far would you go to save the life of your child.? There were so many twists and turns and you really began to feel the characters. I could not stop listening to this audiobook. it was fantastic!

Rain is giving his work away! 6 books for the price of one, one complete series and the first of 3.
The Walking Plague trilogy is a unique spin on the zombie genre. It's a close up look at the survival of one family and their adopted family. They don't always make the best decisions and neither do the villains, but it's action packed. The authors even come up with a cure. It almost has a religious undertone, but it isn't shoved in your face. The 3 books reminds me of serials so it's nice to have them all together.

The 3 bonus novels are each worth the price of this one collection!

Dark Horse is first. Staring Jim Knighthorse who works as a private eye. He is, hands down, one of Rains greatest creations. Jim reminds me of Johnny Bravo and Deadpool. He has no filter, is buff, good looking and he doesn't mind letting you know that he knows it. Don't let him fool you though, because he has a depth of character he tries to hide. --- This is the first of the series. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. The things that come out of this characters head and mouth will leave you in stitches.

Hear No Evil is the first in the Psi series written with A.K.Alexander. This one features spies with limited super powers. Though, working as a team they're formidable foes. They're taking things into an interesting direction, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Temple of the Jaguar is the first in the Nick Cain series written with Aiden James. Nick owns a bar and works as a guide aka Alan Quartermain/Indiana Jones. Nick and his side kick Ishi can't help but find trouble, and you'll find yourself loving this duo. The series is fun and each story is easily read in one sitting. The authors have moved on to new projects, but good news another author K.T. Tomb will be taking over the helm. Nick and Ishi ride again!

I have long been a fan of J. R. Rain, especially his Samantha Moon and Jim Knighthorse series, so when I was offered the opportunity to read The Walking Plague Trilogy that he wrote with Elizabeth Basque, I jumped at the chance. I received a pdf copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

With a new twist on the source of the zombie apocalypse, our heroes - a motley crew including a park ranger, his teenage daughter and friend, his Navy lieutenant commander brother and fellow sailor buddy, and a local cop - stumble across first the cause of, then a cure for the plague. The only problem is, the infection spirals out of control faster than anyone could forsee, and they have to prioritize and fight to preserve their own humanity. Throw in an insane Agent in Black with his own dubious mission, and the odds are definitely stacked against them.

Mr. Rain and Ms. Basque weave a satisying, well thought-out tale with very likeable, realistic characters to love, and to hate. IMO, I am glad the three stories are together in one set, because I really hate cliffhangers and any one on its own would be unsatisfying. The final chapter serves as a nice epilogue, giving us a glimpse into life after contagion.

With the three books together, I found no glaring plot holes, and all my questions were answered. Overall, the three are an easy read with just enough gore and angst - but not too much. Good choice perhaps, for teens or the queasy to get a taste of zombies. No pun intended, of course.

I whole-heartedly recommend The Walking Plague Trilogy, to zombie fans and to those who just want a good story.

I read each of these stories in three separate books and am so glad they are now in one book for people to enjoy! I loved each of these stories as I am a fan of both zombie and JR Rain’s stories.
If you are a fan of either zombies or JR Rain or if you are just looking for a story to lose yourself in then this is a great deal for you and I highly recommend it.
