Darkest Desire is the second book in the Dark Mafia series but can be read as a standalone and has a guaranteed happy ending.
This is my first encounter with anything written by this author. The story itself was great. A dark romance with a twist.
Our main characters Nico and Sasha. Nico forms an alliance with Sasha’s abusive uncle who stepped in when her father was killed. He is obsessed with Sasha’s fiesty, fighting nature and loves that she challenges him at every turn.
Sasha hates her life since her dad died and wants nothing to do with her controlling Uncle Denis. But he has other plans and basically sells her off to Nico to form an alliance. But Sasha refuses to be a victim in her own life. So she runs.
This was a great story with lots of unexpected twists and turns. I enjoyed reading it but it did not flow real well. I felt like a lot of it was rushed through. I don’t know how else to explain it. It didn’t feel as though it was a complete story even though it was.
The way the character spoke to each other was off as well. There were times when the dialogue was amazing and you could feel the pull into the story but the majority of the time it felt forced.
I was able to follow along and keep up with what what’s happening. I enjoyed getting to know these characters but I’m not sure I would dig into the rest of the series.
She wrote a fantastic story and if you like dark romance with a twist and all things mafia you’ll love this book. And the spice is off the charts! Hot!
As with everything this interview is my opinion and you may fall in love with this book. I hope you give Ivy a chance and snag her book to decide for yourself and not take the word of a keyboard warrior who has never been brave enough to write and publish a book.

new author for me this was a very good and interesting story. niko wants sasha and won't take no for an answer. sasha is terrified of niko after watching him kill a man casually right in front of her. she tries everything to escape her marriage but niko finds her and forced her to rome for the honeymoon. he promises not to hurt her or force her to sleep with him because she's a virgin, so the story revolves a great deal around their interactions of him trying to get her to stop being afraid of him and take the next step in their marriage while she constantly goes toe to toe with him verbally sparring and fighting him constantly and trying to escape repeatedly. the chemistry starts to heat up between them and sasha being not only a virgin and young 20 but having been extremely sheltered is quite immature and keeps making poor choices that get ppl hurt and herself in trouble. niko is forced to rescue her repeatedly leading to some extreme events. can't they ever find their way to understanding each other and finding their way to love when they are so different yet so similar too, when other family keeps getting involved causing further problems. when sasha can't decide what she really wants and keeps making stupid decisions instead of facing her feelings and being honest with herself? niko is not the type to love anyone yet finds himself caring for his new wife instead of just wanting to have fun with her. but it also seems there are a lot of ppl out to hurt sasha forcing niko to take action. there's lots of betrayal, violence, angst between the couple, push pull dynamics, friction, sass, spice, and u can't tell who anyone should trust. a very complicated plot with lots of characters with no loyalty willing to back stab anyone to get what they wanted. i also loved that niko was true to his word and didn't force anything on sasha before she was consenting despite how much he wanted her and his cold nature.

I’ve loved Ivy since I’ve started reading her books and she did not disappoint with this mafia story again.
Sasha is so sassy and puts up a fight for what she wants even though we all know this is not how it works in her world but she only complies so that her other disorder are safe from her uncle which we know they are not but that’s her way of thinking. Nico is they man she is marrying and to say she is less than impress is saying something, they met a year again and she witnessed him doing something and having no remorse and that did not sit well with her and still doesn’t. She doesn’t think he is a good man and she’s scared after they marry that he will begin yo beat her, but he claims he will never do such a thing. This marriage is for alliance but is it truly?
What does Sasha do? Like any good mafia arrangement, she tries to escape but she doesn’t get far without Nico finding her and now demanding the wedding be moved up so that she can’t run off again. In her defense she was just trying to safe her other sisters with her older sister’s help and that plan was a bust. But she doesn’t give up she will walk to the ends of the earth to help bring her sisters to safety, but at what cost? Well Sasha endures some quite frightening experience during her first few weeks of marriage to Nico, is it because she is naïve? Or is it just because she is being a stubborn woman? On my opinion it seems to be both, but who is there to rescue her time and time again Nico. She claims to hate him but the longer they are spending time together the more she learns that she doesn’t not hate him.
There are so many turn of events in this book and so many experiences that I was scared for Sasha but she fought and she got through it. Nico was there for her more than she planned or thought he would be. And by the end I think they both knew the marriage wasn’t for the alliance it was for them, Nico just couldn’t let that be the truth of the story until he knew what love was.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Nico sexy as all get out mafia boss isn’t a man you want on your radar, is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, has been watching the sassy women that gets his blood pumping and when the opportunity comes up for him to arrange for her hand in marriage he sets the requirements despite her the fire he loves. Sasha is sassy says pretty much what she wants without fear but she loves her little sister so when her uncle arranges her marriage to none other than the devil himself or that is what she calls him, he is sexy makes her want things that she won’t ever admit to him out loud well not to him any way 😊 and she intended to make him feel her wrath so to speak for choosing her to marry him. The magnetic pull is there between them she ignores it, the more he steps of the charm making it harder for her to ignore and the stronger the pull between them grows but will he be able to keep her safe when his rivals come for him, will he take care of the Irish, will they get on the same page for their marriage, will she understand why he choose her, will her little sister be safe without her, and will she find happiness despite how they started?
Darkest Desire: A Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage Romance by Ivy Davis is a dark, addictive plunge into the world of obsession, violence, and unexpectedly swoony love, delivering the perfect mix of spice and danger for fans of mafia romance. Nico Bernardi is the ultimate morally gray anti-hero—cruel, controlling, murderous, yet fiercely protective—and Sasha, his sharp-tongued, unwilling bride, refuses to bend easily, which makes their explosive chemistry even more fun to read. The enemies-to-lovers tension had me hooked from page one, and watching Nico’s obsessive need for her slowly shift into real love (while he’s still absolutely feral about it) made my little dark-heart soar. The plot brings solid grit too: murderous uncles (seriously, Dennis is trash), sisters marrying for alliances, a looming villain, and even a temporary alliance with Sasha’s brother-in-law to save the women, which sets up future books nicely. The only reason this isn’t a full five stars is because a few lines and possessive declarations felt repetitive, and Sasha warming up to Nico post-rescue happened a bit too fast for my taste—but honestly, with writing this compulsively readable and characters who love as intensely as they fight, I devoured every page. Overall: 4/5 stars. Dark, obsessive, bloody, and surprisingly romantic—if you like forced marriage, knife-to-throat tension, mafia politics, and a man who would burn the world for his woman, add this to your cart immediately.
A Dark Romance I liked this as it started out. Nico was amused by his future bride. Sasha is not. She continues to run from Nico and he loves her spunk. He's also patient which infuriates her. Her Uncle, who acts like an evil version of her murdered father, forces her into the marriage by threatening her younger sisters and her mother. Her sisters, the uncle continues to hurt them all no matter what but it'll get worse if she continues to refuse. Her uncle was a nasty piece of I hate bullies and he went right up to the top of that chart. Of course, he won't be the only one. Every man seems to want to sully Sasha but Nico isn't having it and has saved her many times. He killed when people hurt her. He said he would protect her and he did. There were some dark elements that I didn't like and there will be plenty of pre-marital sexual "encouragements". Though, they are already married, Nico refuses to "rape his wife." There were several other men, bold enough to try it though. Doesn't end well for any of them. I did like Nico and Sasha's style of happily ever after with the openings for more rescues and justice being served. Made me wonder what was going to happen to the new leader of the Irish mob and Nico. Also how well things will go between Nico and Sasha's older sister's husband. They hate each other but reluctantly form an alliance. All looks pretty interesting ! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout.
Nico has had his eye on Sasha for a while now, so when he allies with Denis, Sasha is the niece he wants for the arranged marriage.
Sasha is not going to make it easy for Nico; she wants no part in it, as she knows he is a bad man. Nico will not let Sasha get away, so the marriage timescale is brought forward significantly.
Once married, Sasha will fight Nico all the way. Nico will not force his wife; he will wait until she lowers her defences and comes to him. But his young, beautiful, untouched wife brings unwanted attention from other mafia men, and Nico will not let anyone disrespect him or his wife.
Nico loves Sasha's sass, how she is not afraid to go toe to toe with him. This is what he needs in a wife: Someone strong to stand by his side. She will not go down without a fight, but he will benefit from it when she lowers her guard and the heat between them ignites.
While dealing with his wife and all the drama she creates around him, Nico is also trying to make alliances, but nothing goes smoothly for him. He also has to watch his back as the Irish are still after him, wanting revenge for taking out Cillian last year, plus his grievance with Mikhail, his brother-in-law, is never far from blowing up. It's never-ending for Nico. The only constant for him is Sasha, and he'll do anything to keep her by his side.

An outstanding story of a couple that was thrown together by an arranged marriage and by the end even though neither has real feelings for one another they wound up having feelings for one another at the end. Throughout the story the woman’s sister tried to get her away from the man even going so far as having her husband take her on wedding day but the man got her back. On their honeymoon he threw parties and several times he saved her from getting hurt by the men who was at the parties. But after one incident they went back home even though there was more danger at home then where they were at. Soon the woman gives herself to her husband. Soon the woman gives herself to her husband. At the end many things happened, the two sisters being kidnapped, the woman getting shot, their husbands forming an alliance, a guy from their honeymoon coming after the woman and both husbands tending to the guy and the couple telling one another about their feelings for each other. When the woman is better from the shot she got her and her husband finally make up for lost time. The couple is happy together and in love.

Nico-Mafia Boss, he's handsome, cruel, a great lover, controlling, murderer, and now a husband to Sasha. Sasha-beautiful, challenging, mouthy, says what's on her mind, a new bride to Nico. Nico had wanted her since her first saw her, so he made an ally with her nasty Uncle Denis. When she's told she's going to marry Nico that night she tries to escape, which makes them have the wedding the next day. Sasha makes everything a challenge for Nico, but she doesn't know he loves that and how she stands up to him. She does not like him at first because he likes to kill people, although she does starts to soften when he saves her after her escapes fail. Nico is enemies with Sasha's brother-in-law Mikhal. The tension is thick between the two men because the sisters don't want to lose their husbands or become enemies. Nico and Mikhal make an alliance to save the women from a common enemy. When everything settles down Nico and Sasha profess their love for each other. Good story, once again love wins!.

This is the 2nd story in The Dark Mafia Series where we find Sasha forced into an arranged marriage by her abusive uncle Denis to a man of his choosing for power and an alliance. Denis has proven his control over his dead brother’s wife and remaining 3 sisters. Nico is an obsessed alpha man who will wed Sasha against her wishes and he doesn’t put up with her attitude. Nico realizes how strong Sasha is and after several incidents of danger occurs to Sasha, Nico becomes more in-tuned with Saha to protect and keep her safe against those out to take her. They find kindness and love in one another. Natalya her older sister is married to Mikhail continues to find ways to recuse Sasha allowing the sister chances to connect and bond only to find themselves pulled away as Sasha knows she belongs with Nico just as Natalya does with Mikhail. When alliances become enemies Nico’s back is against the wall and with the power of two sisters does Nico and Mikhail realize who they can really trust to have their back and a chance at a good marriage and love. I think the only one who gave this four or five stars must be friends and family LOL the book is not dark just because there is killing. The author misrepresented this book it is not a dark romance. There's just a little poorly written spice. The dialogue is robotic and childish examples from the MMC, yes I do like to kill, touche I'll give you that one, I can't get caught killing all these people, okay okay I won't kiss you. That is not how Mafia men talk. The men in this book or a bunch of clowns they can't shoot and when they get in a fight they even try biting each other. The MFC is really stupid and childish. Question for the author you must know that readers want a dark romance that's why you put it in the title. So why don't you write one instead of trying to trick your readers, or at least not label it as dark Mafia. Harlequin romance Mafia would be more accurate.
The writing in this, if even possible, got so much worse than the 1st book. I can’t even explain it. Possible spoiler, but here is one explanation of what I mean… There was a place, near the ending, while Sasha was unconscious waiting on surgery, where Nico said “I’m her wife.” It should have said “I’m her husband” or “she’s my wife”. Thats only one example, I could give so much more.
Someone mentioned in a review of the 1st book that the dialogue sounds robotic… I fully agree, and it’s even more nonhuman in this book. It sounds so disjointed. It does not sound like actual dialogue that humans would say.
Also, I didn’t connect with these characters as much as the 1st book HOWEVER I liked the missing element of exhibitionism that was in the 1st book. That is not a trope I tend to like, especially in a mafia romance.
Some tropes in here: Arranged Marriage Virgin FMC Mafia MMC Light Spanking Feisty/bratty FMC He falls first
⛔️ 𝖙𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖌𝖊𝖗𝖘 - controlling/absive uncle, mentions parent w/ dementia, spiking, attempted/SA + themes, triggers and content in line with dark romance genre.
From the moment I opened the book and began reading, I was immediately and completely captivated. The story's compelling narrative effortlessly drew me in, transporting me to a world filled with intrigue and passion. Beyond the engaging plot, I was also introduced to a truly exceptional cast of characters, each one so vividly portrayed that they felt incredibly real and undeniably memorable. However, what truly distinguished this novel and left a lasting impression on me were the interactions between these characters. The way they engaged with each other was exceptionally skillful and engaging, skillfully showcasing a dynamic and believable relationship that felt both remarkably realistic and emotionally resonant, resonating deeply within me throughout the entirety of the story.

Nico Bernardi is a ruthless mafia boss set his sight on Sasha five years ago, when he helped his sworn enemy Mikhail Novikoff. They worked together to save her by marrying his ruthless brother, by saving her as part of a sting operation to save her at the end of book one, now he's ready to claim her. Sasha knows her Uncle Denis is up to no good again, he's always scheming to his advantages for an alliance. I loved seeing Nico given his own book with mafia wars and danger surrounding them, enemies trying to take what's his. I love their witty banter and their sizzling chemistry as Sasha who goes toe to toe with him, keeps him on his toes. I can't wait for book 3 and see which sister is next for unwanted marriage for alliances. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Darkest Desire is book two in The Dark Mafia series. It is very suspenseful age gap romance.
Nico has admired Sasha and when he aligns with her uncle. When Sasha finds out about the arranged marriage she runs but because of her attempt they are married the following day.
Sasha doesn't make life easy for Nico. Nico loves her sass and loves that she stands up to him.
Nico's enemy is Sasha's brother-in-law so that makes for a lot of tension in the family. Will the men do what they can to ease the tension? And what will happen with the feelings between Nico and Sasha?
Another great story.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Nico and Sasha Genre- Mafia Romance Heat- slower burn to completion, virgin heroine Series? Y Safety? Y Triggers- SA with attempted R, graphic violence, abuse, child abuse, language Tropes- Enemies to Lovers, Ebil Uncle, Arranged Marriage, Dysfunctional Family FTW. What I liked- Nico started off pretty cool, especially saving Sasha. And at least he’s not that eediot Mikhail. What I didn’t- once Nico’s power was threatened, it was a little like the Three Stooges with him running around trying to find allies. Throughout he was trying to find allies. Because apparently he doesn’t have any real power when it comes down to it. It was a farce.
Nico finds out that "desire at first sight" turns into true love even when the object of his desire, Sasha arrives kicking and resisting throughout the ride. Sasha is the 2nd oldest when her uncle, Denis decides to force her into an arranged marriage with an older, horrible Bratva man. Nico Bernardi is a Mafia man who decides that the only person Sasha will marry is him. The journey the two go through as enemies to lovers is magical to watch. This is a great series, and I can't wait to read about the next sister and what "hero" sweeps in to save her from a disastrous arranged marriage to someone their horrible uncle, Denis decides will give him the power he desires.
Natalya the eldest of four sisters was the first to escape there brutal uncle and married Mikhail, now its Sasha's turn but this time her uncle arranged the marriage to an Italian mafia called Nico and there are no end of problems. One big problem for all four of them as Mikhail and Nico hate each other to the pint of violence. Hate turns to love again but there us so many men who really want to have Sasha for themselves, so you can expect a few deaths along the way. This story has been written so brilliantly that I couldn't stop reading if, well worth the read.
An arranged marriage by her uncle lands Sasha with one of the most ruthless men in the mafia world. Nico had taken a liking to Sasha and wanted her for his wife and her fire, and backbone proved to be his downfall. He is an enemy of the family since her sister's brother is his nemesis but will an alliance between sworn enemies bring about the demise of her uncle who has come between her family and save her family. This action-packed story had me glued to the pages.

Darkest Desire tells the captivating story of Nico and Sasha, featuring an intriguing age gap and arranged marriage that keeps readers hooked. Sasha is a strong character who consistently challenges Nico, and Nico being willing to burn the world down for Sasha adds depth and excitement to the narrative.
Ivy Davis delivers another impressive tale that sparks interest in dark romances, particularly those with themes of mafias, forced marriage and a devoted man willing to do anything for his partner. This well-crafted dark romance is a must-add to your collection.
This is a great continuation of the mixed Crime families, that are marring for alliances and then for love. Nico and Sasha have the normal arranged marriage with each other. They both are fighting the attraction that is brewing between them. Nico has been attracted to Sasha since he saw her last year at her sister’s wedding. Sasha on the other hand just wants to protect her sisters and mother from her uncle, so she will try anything to get away from Nico and save them. Together they fight, love and finally come to each other as a united front and have strong bonds.
If you enjoy a good, dark mafia story, Sasha and Nico's is the perfect read. Their journey captivates you from the very beginning. Sasha loves to challenge Nico and doesn't make it easy for him. Whatever happens between them and the way they came together through an arranged marriage, there's nothing he won't do for Sasha and he'll burn everyone and the world down if they get to what's his—Sasha. Action, suspense, danger, passion, romance, and plenty of steamy moments.

In this mafia tale, Sasha is the feisty sister, the one most likely to mouth off and get herself in trouble. When her controlling bratva Uncle Denis decides to marry her off to form an alliance with Nico Bernardi, she is not pleased to say the least.
There is plenty of action, danger, and violence in this story. There is also family loyalty and love between the sisters. Sasha and Nico have a stormy beginning, but time and troubles bring them closer, finally leading to a HEA.

My overall thoughts of the book are it was a good read. I really enjoyed Nico and Sacha story. Sacha and Nico were hilarious . She is as stubborn as a bull and Nico is a hot mess in a good dark way, but still a hot mess. Sacha keepings running and Nico keeps casing and killing people. The plot was really good I enjoyed it. The spice was delicious. It was nice you got to see Nat and Mikhail in this as well. I can wait for the next one.

This is a very well written mafia, age gap, arranged marriage romance book by Ivy. Sasha and Nico have intense chemistry together and as soon as they meet, sparks are going to fly that turns into a passionate love affair with a surprise. This romance book is very entertaining, suspenseful and fast paced. If I could recommend one book that you must read it needs to be this one right here by Ivy because it is a superb book.
Sasha did what she could to protect her sister, after her eldest sister Natalya married Mikhail, they tried to save them but their uncle was too clever keeping the girls close as a shield. But Sashas feirceness sparked interest in another rival, Nico, and he wants her for his bride, but will she give in to a man who k*lls without remorse and whose her families enemy? Well written engaging, enemies to lovers, forced marriage, desires, steamy scenes and more a great addition to the series
I'm often ready to move on from a family after two books in a series like this. But not this time. I enjoyed the references to events in the first book. The relationship between Natalya and Sasha evolves so much throughout this book. I felt like there were hints to coming books involving the other two sisters. One can only hope, if there is a book 3 and 4, the Uncle Denis gets what's coming to him.

Entertaining dark mafia arranged marriage romance with a twist. This is a new author to me, but her book was well written for the most part, great character development. I love the personality of the MFC. She’s feisty in the best way. The banter and chemistry between the couple is great. Very spicy. The story isn’t original, but it’s written in a way that is fresh. Some parts of the story did not flow well and sometimes felt forced or rushed. Overall, it was an enjoyable read.
