I like doing fun things like painting, writing emotionally intense books, and fixing people’s teeth with needles, drills, and scalpels.

I'm proudly Brazilian, married to a smoking hot genius, and a member of one of the world’s most exclusive societies: the Coffee Haters.

I also live with OCD, which means that if I'm not obsessing over something, I'm probably sketching it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Read

Whew,

What a book. Reading this book took me through every possible emotion. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! Definitely a top ten for my 2025 reading list. I highly recommend.

For starters this is the first book I have read that is 100% male pov, I was a little skeptical in wondering if I would like it - (I loved it). It was nice to be able to read from a different pov that’s 100% male throughout the book. This book is a *dark* romance dystopian book that focuses on a pack of three male Aegis (Kory, Shane and Jay) and their Nyra (Johane).

From the beginning I was drawn to the male pack and hearing about their upbringings. I enjoyed the fact the author included certain background information within the story to help me understand more about the STRAYS program and how the bond was formed between Kory, Shane and Jay.

For me I loved how overprotective the three were over their mate. I love the kind of tropes *touch her & d*e*. These three were spot on. They were overprotective, clingy and even romantic at times when they did little things for her. I absolutely ate this story up. I was so drawn to it. Even though traditionally they are meant to be overprotective on instinct they allowed her to do certain things typical Nyras or mates aren’t allowed to do. I thought that made this story unique and interesting because it didn’t follow a predictable storyline.

I 100% recommend this book. I enjoyed reading it, and I stayed up late many of nights reading it. The emotions I felt reading this book really showed from my facial expressions or to my out loud outbursts I had.

My question for others who read the book - Did you read the epilogue? Do you think we will be getting a second book? It felt as though it ended on a little bit of a maybe - cliffhanger.

2.5 Stars I really enjoyed this new world this author built. Story started out strong, with a lot of detail on how things worked. At times, things moved very slowly. There was one scene where one of the leads was mad that another left for a month. Didn’t really feel justified to get that angry when their world was falling apart. Then the solution was smexy time? That part was a bit weird/rushed. Things picked up quick again after that and then ended on a slight cliffhanger.

This was absolutely AMAZING!! I wish it wasn’t over 😭😭 Super grateful to have been able to read this before it’s released ☺️ I was hooked the entire time, the story was very well thought out and flowed perfectly. I really enjoyed the writing style, one of my favourites for sure! The thought, detail and effort that was put into this book is beyond incredible! 👏

I do have to add…. This was also my introduction to knotting… What a new experience that was 😂 but, I’m hooked now and the bar of expectations is HIGH lol

Again, absolutely LOVED this book! I cannot wait to read more, and highly recommend you read this so you too, can fall in love with Kory, Jay and Shane and the wonderful and suspenseful moments and adventures they go through with their Nyra, Jo ☺️

Definitely one of my new favourite authors 🖤

Strays is an interesting take on alpha/omega dynamics. In this authors world there are humans and gregalis. Gregalis are basically subjugated to humans and are seen as lesser. Gregalis can be either aegis (the alphas) or nyra (the omega). Aegis form triads with their siblings. If they don’t have bough siblings they become strays and can be unstable. Kory, Shane, and Jay were strays, but because of an experimental program became a pack. Stray packs are seen as lesser than family triads. This story is told through the POV of Kory. When Kory and his pack are matched with a scent-matched nyra, their life is changed almost overnight. Johane (their nyra) was essentially raised as a human and through some loopholes, ended up being able to become a medical student/and get a residency, which is unheard of for gregalis. I really loved seeing how she introduced them to human things and seeing their worldview grow/evolve. I was really liking Jo but then -SPOILER.

At one point Johane makes some choices and afterwards when she gets back and they guys are discussing how it affected them she basically uses her scent/hormones to force them to forgive her and get her way, to me it felt very manipulative bordered on a non-com/dub-con scene. After that I really struggled with liking her. It got somewhat better toward the end, but I wish they had confronted her or resolved that situation more. That was one spot that I really would have liked more of her POV.

The is the first book in a series, but it doesn’t end on a cliffy. I feel like it is more of a happy for now, with a teaser for the direction the story will take in book 2. If you like alpha/omega type dynamics, protective male leads, police squad suspense, and fated mates, definitely give this book a read.

A unique view on packs and how bonding changes them

Wow. This book was so good. I love a good Omegaverse book and when there us something unique or different its even better.

In this world packs are made of family members so if you are an only child you typically don't survive. So some fancy doctor found a way to make packs out of non-related guys. However, most people look down on them and they are just known as the STRAYS.

I absolutely love this pack of Aegis (Kory, Shane and Jay) and their Nyra (Johane). This book really shows how those were different or looked down upon even when they match with somebody well above what society deems they deserve.

This book follows all in male POV and it was really cool to read since it's A first for me. The investigations, the politics, and the discrimination are all very prevalent. Finding people willing to have their backs is fantastic.

I'm excited to see what's next in the series. I'm also surprised this is a debut book.

Clear your schedule and make sure you have snacks and drinks within reach.

I was completely captivated by this book. A brilliant plot with so many well-thought-out details made it impossible to put down – it had me hooked from the very first chapter. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster: I was cheering for the Larsen brothers, and I was furious on their behalf. The steamy scenes left my cheeks flushed and my pulse racing. Tears flowed freely out of empathy, and more than once I found myself on the edge of my seat, holding my breath in pure suspense.

When I reached the final page and was hit with a cliffhanger, I couldn't help but scream in frustration. I don't just want more – I desperately need more. I can’t wait for the next book to be released so I can continue following the story.

I foresee a brilliant future filled with success for this author, and I look forward to watching her journey unfold.

Holy Freaking Crappola!!! This is the ABSOLUTELY BEST Dark DYSTOPIAN ROMANCE I've read in years!! The Larsen pack is every girls wet dreams and perfect man wrapped in the amazing Aegis body. Jo gives you the emotional roller-coaster of someone raised to hate themselves but follows what her heart & instincts tell her. While they fight for all their dreams to come true and the World tears them down!!

I'm going to DNF this for now. I liked the first half but the betrayal from the FMC pissed me off and she uses sex to get them to forgive her which irritates me because she's manipulating the bond to get forgiveness while in the middle of sex when the head they are using is not the one holding their brain. I would've liked her to grovel a bit and earn the forgiveness instead. I had a hard time caring about her after she pulled that crap.

The premise is super interesting but the solo male pov just isn’t something I enjoy so I’ll be shelving this one for a while.
