Sgt Thor finds a big edge with the dreaming wizard and his town full of horrors. His companions Soto and Allura set off to find Allura's dad held in the wizards prison. Thor carries the pearl of great price which saves his butt in the dream world and the real one. On top of the enthralled city there were assassin's targeting him, zombie dead, a highly skilled ORC unit and the worst a shadow dragon to go along with the already deadly sleeping mage. How does Thor survive all of this? Application of significant firepower, some Ranger ingenuity and a couple of magic swords did the trick but took a toll on him. Exciting, on edge read.

SGT Thor is just amazing and awe inspiring.

First no spoilers, okay maybe one. Jason and Nick, please do not let this the last Thor. He is wonderful and his adventures are a true gift. This story had it all, had depth, adventure, tension and solid conclusion. No I am both happy and a little sad about. ( If you have been reading along you will understand and realize it had to happen this way.) Jason and Nick please, please keep playing in the sand box, that is SGT Thor in the RUIN!

I'm really getting into this series and this character. I love Forgotten Ruin as an old Army Ranger, but I can see how it can be a hard read with all the Talker quirks. SGT. Thor takes the best elements of the series and eliminates much of the silliness. Do not get me wrong, I think the Talker character has an element of truth, to my time at least, in the Regiment in the early 90's, which is why I still like it.

A most remarkable Ranger.

I'm going to miss the main characters & hope they come up again. This was such a fantastically amazing journey by one man, who happened to be an Army Ranger...

No spoilers or Id write more. You've got to read this book & series! And all another great time given by the authors! Thank you Jason & Nick!

A dream or a nightmare

A dream or a nightmare. Thor lives up to his namesake. Action from start to finish. What i was left with is what happens when what do you saxrifice for your goal, your dream. And what if the price is almost a nightmare.

Great fusion of fantasy and military science fiction

These books read like a fun campaign with friends playing Dungeons and Dragons. The books mix my two favorite: fantasy and military science fiction!

Another Masterpiece from The Ruin and Jason Anspach. With a dollop of Talker at the end. Outstanding stuff, great world building.
