I love Eddie Brock.

Eddie is such a great character. Absolutely love the guy. This series is so elegant and well-written. Charles Soule brings a a depth of humanity that we as the reader, can identify with such monsters such as Carnage. Brock has had a lot of personal struggles that shaped him to be the great character he is today. And the art is just a cherry on top. Such beautiful drawings paired with great writing, make this series an instant classic in my eyes. Very good work all around.

I have liked other issues of this series, but this story draws entirely too much on previous stories for me to say I enjoyed it. Such is the nature of monthly comics, particularly from Marvel, but this is not recommended unless you've read the past several years of Venom stories. If that's your bag, enjoy, but otherwise, this comic book is a convoluted mess.
