I quite enjoyed this one; more than I thought I would anyway. I quite liked the quirky artwork and the story was a bit different.

EN By far the best crossover I have ever read between Predator and another character.

It is very clear that Benjamin Percy has a strong understanding of the intellectual property he is working with and knows exactly how to handle it.

The Predator’s behaviour is somewhat atypical compared to what we usually expect, but this is fully justified within the story itself.

Without a doubt, one of the best Marvel reads I’ve had in recent times.

--

A fun, gory adventure that stays true to both Spider-man and the Predator. MJ and Kraven were also a welcome addition to the story. This more than makes up for the atrocious Black Panther storyline.

Spidey vs a Bad Blood Predator

It's a very violent story about a serial killer Predator taking over NYC during a heat wave and a power outage. The story was honestly good and I'm so glad they had Kraven face off against a Predator in this as well. It was just very fitting. I enjoyed this one a bit more than Predator versus Black Panther.

I can't help but be a little disappointed in this book. As much as I am glad Benjamin Percy continues to write Spider-Man/Peter and MJ together, I felt Spider-Man was upstaged in this book by another character.

A serial killer is loose in New York at the time of a heatwave and a city-wide blackout. The killer inhumanely skins his prey as well as lures others to him. However even as he hunts he may not become the hunted.

Like that MJ was shown as a strong character in this book, but my frustration came from the fact that I thought that Spider-Man's powers, his strength, agility, and spider sense would be to perfect a counter to the Predator's stealth and technology advantage, but there was very little interaction between them. One fight in four issues/chapters? This was disappointing for me. The book finishes with a variant cover gallery and a sketchbook.

To my surprise and amazement, the writer was able to make a compelling and interesting story that brought Predator and Spiderman together in an engaging way that made sense canonically.

I think the writing was perfect for a Spiderman comic and I really enjoyed the mature content and blend of horror. The artwork worked well for the story and complemented it in many way but if it was drawn by an artist like Greg Capullo, it would’ve been all the better and probably elevated it even more.

Overall this was an amazing spin on Spiderman and the Predator franchises and blended both IP’s together seamlessly.

I’d give the writing an 8/10 and the art a 6/10
Bringing its overall rating to a 7.5/10

When I heard the premise I wasn’t sure it’d work but man it really does. Benjamin Pearcy leans way more into the Predator in terms of comic theme and content while Spider-Man is the one with the voice as it were. Some great twists and cameos.
If you have a ten year old who is a Spidey fan then probably not but as a horror fan this really worked while having enough Spidey in it

Another great Predator story - this one was unique with its deranged tribe-less serial killing Predator known as Skinner. Yikes a scary time in a hot NYC.... good thing they've got the protection of their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! And an appearance by Kraven! Loved his storyline in this!

This is what all Predator crossovers should aspire to be: Gory, violent, and making use of all the lore available to build an engaging story that is genuine to the Yautja as well as whoever they're trying to kill.

This book intentionally parallels the plot of Predator 2, but brings in a Bad Blood as the antagonist instead of a normal Predator. It also heavily features Kraven the Hunter (you gotta have him in a story about hunting!), which was a great call. Coming straight off the heels of Vs. Black Panther, I was very glad to see this crossover return to form with the immediate shock of skinned and dismembered corpses instead of going for a PG-13 rating.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
Mostly fun, surprisingly gory story that ends on a rushed weak note primarily setting up the next Predator vs Marvel series.
This particular Predator just kills anyone for the fun of it, drawing the ire of *spoilers* Kraven the hunter & other predators fed up with his serial killer-esque behavior.
As some others have said Kraven vs Predator might’ve been a better title for this series.
No Venom appearance, who seems like a no-brainer for a series like this but I’m guessing he’ll get his own series vs the predator eventually.

Is this really a Predator vs. Spider-Man book? I'm not convinced. Spider-Man feels peripheral and severely underused. The idea of the Skinner Predator is interesting, but the story moves too quickly to allow for a rich experience. This limited series could easily have benefited from two or three additional issues to fully develop the plot. While the writing is solid, the pacing undermines the experience. These Predator-versus-Marvel character crossovers seem to be trending downward; neither the Black Panther nor Spider-Man installments have matched the depth and enjoyment of the Wolverine series, which felt genuinely rich and well-developed. By comparison, these newer entries come across as rushed, cash-grabbing efforts. Given my disappointment, this might be the last one I pick up. Percy is a talented writer, so I can't help but wonder if something on the editorial or administrative side is holding this series back from reaching its full potential.

*The more I thought about it last night, the more I felt spurred to lower my review to 2 stars.

Esperaba algo mucho mejor.

This is the…third Marvel/Predator crossover I’ve read after Black Panther and Wolverine? I like that this narrative feels really self-contained. Oddly Spider-Man is underwritten but I thought bringing Kraven into the narrative, even if he just lurked around until the very end, was a nice thematic tie in for the Yautja to confront. It’s not like this needed tons of backstory, but the sudden jump to calling the central predator “Skinner” and then suddenly having more predators show up because the plot demanded it felt a bit clunky. Given the overall pulpy-ness though, I think this mostly delivered on what it needed to barring some revising to tie the various plots more cleanly together (MJ needs far more or far less to do in this).

A serial killer Predator? A yautja who defies their "code" of killing those worthy to be hunted?! The back cover said a Predator with no honor and no clan, but I didn't realize it would just be a murder machine loose in New York City! Once I figured that out; I chewed through the whole book in an hour!!

Roping Kraven into this story was genius, but also... duh. He's THE hunter of Marvel, so it definitely worked. I love Predator lore, and Spiderman is just one of the best comic heroes of all time... this mash-up was awesome. I liked it more than Predator vs. Wolverine, but completely skipped Predator vs. Black Panther. This one was awesome, 5 stars!

Dynamic art and colours bring an often silly comic to gory life. The premise is strong: during a NY heatwave the city suffers a blackout, and citizens find themselves stalked by an insane, outcast Predator. It’s a ripe playground for something thrilling, at the very least … but Percy chooses to go a little too far with some of the gory elements without offering enough character or story elements to balance them out. That said, the inclusion of Kraven is the real genius move here—this book could have easily have been called Predator vs Kraven, as this book is far more consequential for the character in this splinter universe.

A very gory and occasionally fun read.

These Predator Vs. comics just keep getting worse and worse. This one has a serial killer Predator who just goes around killing people whether they can fight back or not. He, apparently, can also just grab someone's face and just rip it right off and then puts it on his own face like the Joker during the New 52. It's just dumb. I would have thought that Percy had watched some Predator movies before writing this. I did think a Kraven appearance was fitting. I didn't care for Ferreira's art here either. Too frenetic and cartoony for a comic with skinned humans in it.

You would expect in a story called Predator vs Spider-man, the main conflict would be a Predator hunting Spiderman. Instead, this story should be called Kraven vs Predator.

It's not terrible, and I appreciate that Benjamin Percy still writes MJ and Peter as a couple, but Spiderman never even meets the titular Predator. The main Predator villain is just an uninteresting psychopath, unlike the more honorable Yautja we've seen in the past, where the story seemed to use it purely for gore shock value. Spiderman never even meets this Predator and Kraven the Hunter is the one who does all the hunting of the main villainous Predator. Spiderman does fight a random hunting party of more honorable Predators who come hunting the Psychopath Yautja, but honestly, it would have rathered the story been about Spiderman going after the Skinner.

It's a 3/5 because I still enjoyed reading but it definitely did not use its concept to the full extent it could.

I kind of liked it, though it's pretty gruesome for a Spider-Man title. Also, it has an appearance from probably my least favorite character in all of comicdom: Kraven the Hunter (though, I guess it's appropriate given the Predator's purpose). Apparently, there's a loose cannon Predator in New York, during a hot spell, and another group of Predators are hot on his trail. Then you've got Spidey and his gang and Kraven, looking for his honorable hunt (or whatever it is he's after). It makes for a suitably fun and fast read. And the artwork is not bad.

Probably more of a 3.5 than a 4 but it was definitely better than Predator vs Black Panther and overall better than Predator vs Wolverine. Skinner was a menace and Kraven was actually a good choice. His powers make him match up closely with the yautja physically making them good opponents for each over. We did get a long confrontation between Spider-Man and the yautja but I wish he had more interactions with them especially the main antagonist. I would have removed the detective's and MJ's part in the story for that.

A fast and kind of interesting read. The 'actual' versus was very little of Predator and Spider-Man, but instead had much more Kraven vs. Predator. I'd love to see Venom vs. Predator...
Overall, the story was kind of lackluster. The art was okay, the story was only okay, the underlying idea of a Skinner/rogue Predator was a solid foundation, but it really didn't go much of anywhere. Yes, Spidey fought some Predators, but not really much interaction with the Skinner...
Meh.
The other Predator vs. Marvel books are substantially better, and this one is easily skippable.

This story was dark, especially for a Spider-man story. The Predator acts as more of a serial killer and Hannibal Lector-type and is gaunt and creepy looking; it’s rad.

The choice to insert Kraven the Hunter in this really makes sense, because Spidey all by himself wouldn’t have felt right.

This actually felt more like a story that the Punisher would have been better suited for considering the grisly things that happen, but here’s hoping Benjamin Percy will write that story one day.

Artwork is good; I recommend.

I liked this one. Percy leaned more into horror movie elements that worked well in the urban, Spider-Man landscape, including MJ as the damsel in detress who rises above.

The murder mystery angle and drama worked, too. Kraven was also a nice touch and just a great fit for a Predator story.

I'm still baffled why Percy's Predator versus Black Panther was so bad. Almost unreadable.

Not as good as the Wolverine volume. Not a lot happens story-wise, but there are a lot of characters involved. I also liked the brief Spider-Man/Kraven team-up and the depiction of Kraven that we get here. The theme of honor also plays a key role. Some of the writing and artwork were a bit off for me, but I like these crossover ideas.

Better than Marvel's regular Predator comics. The idea of a deranged, serial killer Predator is pretty intriguing and it works well enough in this story that it's actually one of the few times I'd hoped we could have gotten a few more issues to flesh things out a bit more. Spider-Man does have a brief encounter with a few predators, but it's more of a Kraven story.

Fun to see detective Spidey but I wish there was more fighting Spidey. Should have been called Predator vs. Kraven. But after knowing and thinking on it, it was a good story, excellently horrible visuals and it’s Spider- Man.
