She’s my niece’s best friend. Two decades younger. And currently sleeping ten feet from my bedroom.
Elena Torres is fire and fury wrapped in curves—and after a summer storm wrecked her rental, she’s now my tenant.
We’re opposites in every way. She protests the projects I build. I bury emotions for a living. We argue like foreplay.
And when we finally snap? It’s in the middle of a thunderstorm—rain-soaked, breathless, backed into a garden shed—
She kisses me like she wants to ruin us both.
Now I can’t stop wanting her. Not when she walks through my house like she owns it. Not when my daughter curls up in her lap like she’s already part of our family.
But Elena doesn’t know what I’ve done. Years ago, I signed a deal that threatens everything she loves—including the garden her grandmother fought to protect.
If she finds out the truth? I won’t just lose the woman who makes me want to be a better man. I’ll lose the only family I’ve ever let myself love.
What a fantastic story of a billionaire, Alex, and a protestor, Elena. They have a history but are fighting each other over a strip of land being used as a garden and is going to be an apartment building. A protestor brings up a few questionable items about Alex’s company. Elena has te town up in arms about the garden her grandmother started to Ely people of the town. Alex finally admits to Elena how the land ever got reasoned and how his company ended up with the land. At the meeting Alex asks to speak and the result was amazing. I really liked the ending of this story. I received a free copy of this book and I am leaving this review on my own. I would recommend this story to anyone.
I thought this was a short, sweet, and overall good read. It felt more like a novella because it was quick and got right to the point without dragging anything out. The age-gap romance was done well, and you could tell both characters had feelings for each other for years, even if neither wanted to admit it.
The story really picks up when he realizes being with her could hurt her, and she finds out he holds the power over the land her grandmother has worked so hard to keep running for the community. That added some nice tension and made me want to see what choices they would make.
I enjoyed the small-town feel and the chemistry between the characters. It was a fast, easy read with a little romance, some drama, and a satisfying story. If you're looking for a quick romance with an age gap and longtime feelings finally coming to the surface, this is definitely worth reading.
Happily Ever After Wishes and Dreams - I was instantly pulled into this short heartwarming novella, that grabbed my attention from the first page and didn’t let me go again until I had turned every page and devoured it in a few short hours. You will definitely enjoy reading Elena and Alex’s small-town romance story that was sprinkled with a bit of drama and heat.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed the story in this Novella. Wanting to protect your families legacy from the one person that you always admired. Attraction has been there forever but taboo.
Elena was determined to fight to the end but who actually will be left standing.

Novella November 2025 - Day 10 4 stars! Such a great story. Definitely could be expanded into a full length novel! I wanted more back story and more spice, but the plot was great and the chemistry is there.
