Violence is second nature to me. Control is how I survive.
As Tail Gunner for the Royal Harlots MC, I protect what we’ve built fiercely, relentlessly, without compromise. Our gym was supposed to be a sanctuary for fighters, a place to train, rebuild, and breathe.
I don’t flinch, I don’t fold, and I damn sure don’t trust men like Dante Cross, An underground fight king with too many secrets and a smile that kills like a loaded gun.
But fighters are vanishing, and gangs are circling like vultures. He’s the only one holding the truth.
I didn’t come to play nice. I came to cut the rot out, and if Dante wants to stand beside me, he better be ready to bleed.
Dante
I’ve made peace with the monsters in my past until she walks in, all scars and fire, demanding answers I’m not ready to give.
Katana isn’t just a threat to my business, she’s a threat to my control.
But someone’s targeting my fighters. Someone ruthless enough to destroy everything I’ve built.
The only way out is through, and the only person I trust to have my back might just be the one to bury a blade in it.
In this world, trust is a weapon, and the only way to survive is to fight dirty, fall hard, and never look away.
Kris Anne Dean is an indie author. Her addiction to daytime soap operas inspired The Vendetta Series. The dysfunctional drama they offer is her guilty pleasure. She has watched the same soap for thirty-six years and often yells at the tv when the scenes don’t play out the way she would have written it.
She is a mother to three boys between the ages of twenty and six. When she’s not working, reading or binge watching soaps, you can find her on the sidelines watching them do what they love.
Kris Anne grew up in South Florida but is raising her children in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. While she enjoys the small town life, she hates shoveling snow. She’s always on the go, always running late (blame the cow crossings and horse and buggies) and often forgets to breathe,

Katana is book 1 of the Royal Harlots MC Atlantic City Chapter Series by Kris Anne Dean.
Kris Anne Dean didn’t disappoint with this first book in her new MC series Royal Harlots MC and I love that it’s a sisterhood of bikers, I absolutely loved Katana and Dante.
Katana is a veteran and she’s had it rough since she left the military. Now, just when she’s at her lowest, the Royal Harlots find her and give her not only a home but also a purpose. Katana now finds that she can help vulnerable woman learn how to protect themselves.
Then some of the girls begin to stop showing up, and that’s when Katana and the Royal Harlots realize that they need to figure out why and what’s really going on. This is what brings Dante onto Katana’s radar. Dante holds underground fights, some of them have been seen.
Dante knows exactly who Katana is and everything there is to know about her. Dante had fooled himself that it was because he thought he needed to know everything he needed to know about his enemy, but he quickly realized that it was more than that. He soon realized that Katana was stronger than he realized, she was a fighter, and she had captivated him, and when they finally meet face to face, she pulls him in even more captivating him more than he thought a woman could.
Katana and Dante have always been enemies, two people on opposite sides of the same battle. But, there’s a new player in their town, and this player is far more dangerous. Katana and Dante realize that they have to put their enmity aside and they need to work together to save all of the people who are near and dear to them.
Can Katana and Dante learn to trust one another enough in order to have the other’s back? And in working so closely, the attraction and heat that’s always been present comes to the surface. What’s going to happen when it sparks and finally ignites?
Kris Anne Dean did a fantastic job in writing this first book in a great new series. I loved the storyline, the plot, and the subplot. This book was full of action, insane attraction, electric chemistry between the two main characters, secondary characters who were so much fun and filled out the story and ensured the story kept moving forward naturally.
I am so excited to see where each of these stories go and I can’t wait to read all the stories that are yet to come.
I love the RBMC books so much that I thought I'd give this one a read to see how the sisterhood of bikers fare, and it did not disappoint.
Katana is ex-military; she has had it rough since leaving, and when she reached her lowest, the Harlots gave her a home and purpose. She now helps vulnerable women learn how to protect themselves. When some of her girls don't show, they need to find out why. This brings Dante on her radar. Dante holds underground fights, where some have been seen.
Dante knows all about Katana. He may fool himself it was because he needed to know his enemy, but it was more than that. This strong woman, this fighter, captivated him, and when he meets her in person, she draws him in even more.
Katana and Dante may be enemies, but another player is in town, and this one is way more dangerous. Katana and Dante have to put their feelings to oneside and work together to save those who are dear to them. Can they trust each other enough to have each other's back? Working together closely brings heat and attraction. What will happen when it ignites?
I really enjoyed this starter in the series. The plot line was good, it was action-packed, and the insane attraction between the two main characters was off the charts. I also loved the secondary characters, and can't wait to follow the series where each of those gets their stories told.

I loved reading this MC story. One of my favorite things about this story is the strong female character that has power and control. My other favorite thing about this story is the author's ability to make the characters pop off the pages. I enjoyed the author's creative skills that made the story realistic. Katana is a strong female character that just dominates the pages. She doesn't trust men until she meets Dante. Fighters are coming up missing and he is the key to what is happening. Dante thinks that he has made peace with the monsters from his past until he meets Katana. Someone out there keeps targeting his fighters and is determined to destroy everything he has built. Now these two are forced to figure things out together but there is a trust issue. What happens between these two you don't want to miss. I enjoyed watching the growth and chemistry of these two characters which made the story easy to read. This is a great story that is fast paced and hard to put down. A story that I highly recommend. I hope we see more from this series.
This biker romance novel brings a refreshing and much-needed twist to the genre by centering female bikers — and it absolutely works. The point of view is unique, engaging, and offers an inside look at a world that’s usually dominated by male characters. Seeing the same grit, loyalty, and intensity through the lens of women who ride gives the story an energy that feels new and empowering.
That said, there are moments where the plot feels a bit familiar, almost like a classic male biker romance simply reshaped from another angle. Still, the strong female leads, their relationships, and their dynamics keep the story interesting even when the beats feel predictable.
Overall, it’s a compelling read with a standout perspective. If you love biker romances and want something that breaks the mold — even if just a bit — this one is definitely worth picking up.

This book is the kind of gritty, high-tension romance that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. Enemies-to-lovers, underground fight rings, MC danger, and two scarred, stubborn characters who clash hard and fall even harder—this book has everything I wanted.
Katana is fierce, sharp, and unflinching, while Dante is the kind of broken, dangerous hero you know you shouldn’t trust…but absolutely will anyway. Their dynamic crackles with tension, and every scene between them feels like a match held over gasoline.
With disappearing fighters, escalating gang threats, and a storyline pulsing with danger and emotion, this book delivers grit, heat, heart, and a whole lot of chaos. I devoured it.
If you love dark romance, MC grit, and characters who bleed, fight, and love like it’s war, Katana is an obsession waiting to happen.
I’ve been looking forward to this new chapter in the Royal Harlot series. Especially with it being set in Atlantic City, which I knew would bring all kinds of craziness to it. Katana is such a strong, independent woman and doesn’t need a man in her life to feel complete. That is until she meets Dante, then it appears that all bets are off. While they are both untrusting type characters, as they work together to figure out what is happening with their fighters going missing, their bond starts to grow and I just knew in my heart that somehow they would end up together. Both characters are intense and I loved that about them. They are perfectly imperfect for each other. Quite a bit goes on this story that makes it even more intriguing and I loved everything about it. A definite must read for all those MC lovers out there!
"Trust is earned in blood. Love is forged in war."
Kris anne dean has gone and done it again, bringing us another fantastic MC romance, that's jam packed with violence, fierceness, relentlessness, secrets, darkness, spice and so much more.
Dante and katana are a force to be reckoned with, they are amazing together and so powerful. Their connection is instant and sizzling.
They come together to figure out what happened to their own. I couldn't put it down once I picked it up. It's such a crazy rollercoaster ride with twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat.
The characters, storyline, side characters and plot where wonderfully written. I can't wait to read more from Kris. Highly recommend.
"In this world, trust is a weapon, and the only way to survive is to fight dirty, fall hard and never look away."
Dante and Katana are 🔥 F I R E 🔥 They are sexy, sultry perfection—and bad to the bone lethal fighters. All the action scenes were amazing and the SPICE was yummy. ‘Katana’ is a great book. I loveLoveLOVED it!

Another great MC book by Kris Anne. This was about Katana (maya). Shes in the MC. She was in the military and a former fighter. The MC opened a gym to help girls learn how to defend themselves and give them a safe place to go. Some of the girls went missing and she thought a guy who owns another gym had something to do with it. She confronted him. He told her he didn’t but she didn’t believe him. One day Dante had one of his guys go missing. Once he figured out where he was he went to get him. He found out some information that he immediately took to Katana and the rest of the MC. They had a rat in their tanks. Once they were told who they didn’t believe it. But the proof was irrefutable.
This book was amazing Kat doesn’t just let anyone in she’s got ghosts from her past that not even the other ladies in the MC know about apart from a few she keeps it locked down She’s very independent, doesn’t lead a man and his loyal to her club She meets Dante his not in an MC but runs a gym training fighters it’s when one of his fighters goes missing and one of Kat as well that they team up to find out what going on and find there both up against the same person taking there fighters and doing some awful things to them They once thy must rescue they but that’s means can she trust him This way s part of a new series and I can’t wait for bk 2 to come out
Katana is book one of the Royal Harlots MC Atlantic City Chapter.
Katana runs a gym for female fighters and when some of the women start to go missing, she investigates to see what happened to them. Through her investigation she comes across Dante and suspects him of foul play. However, the danger might be closer to home than originally thought. We see these two fight against each other and themselves with their feelings. They have to work together even though they are enemies, because there is someone even more dangerous lurking around the corner and impacting all of their lives. This was a high intensity read.
This book is part of the new companion series to the RBMC. The Royal Harlots is a multi- author shared world featuring chapters of an all-female motorcycle club. The book is based around the world of underground fighting, and the FMC, Katana, operates a gym where fighting and self defense are taught to women. I thought this idea was a fresh spin on MC Romance, and I liked it very much. Book is SAFE. Heat is EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include violence, language, and blood; TROPES include Instalove, Badsass heroine, What Happens in Fight Club.

Great new series, this is a new to me author and I loved the book. Strong, bad a$$ FMC are my jam and Katana is all that and more. She is the OTT alpha protector of the women she trains. Dante is new to town and an unknown to the MC, when their paths cross, sparks fly. Loved the connection and interaction between these two, this is a slow burn with the steam coming in at the end. The book is action packed with deception coming from unexpected places, looking forward to book 2.

Katana runs the gym for the Royal Harlots and she is one tough chick but when some of her girls go missing she only has to look at the underground fights that are run by Dante. There is also someone else unknown that are pulling some strings so as Katana and Dante work together to find out who else is involved their chemistry is off the charts.

This was a great start to a new series! I’m so excited to see where this series and these characters take us on this journey. I enjoyed the first book so much. Didn’t see the betrayal and the twists.

This first book in the new Atlantic City Chapter of the Royal Harlots MC is gripping and unexpected. Katana and Dante takes the reader on an intense ride filled with surprising twists, gritty angst, and wicked hot chemistry.
For Katana the club comes first and that includes their buisness and Gym, when fighters start disappearing theres only one man with answers Dante, but will he give up his paat secrets? Well written engaging steamy desires chemistry sizzling and more!
Katana and Dante are great characters. I loved how fierce she was in trying to find out what was going on. Dante, fell hard though he didn’t want to and that made them a powerful force to reckon with when they joined forces.
Great start to the Royal Harlots MC series. The book is packed with action and romance. Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't wait to finish the book.
