I ran. I ran. I ran.I thought I got away, but Declan will never let me go. He’s here—taunting me, lurking around every corner I turn. But he's different now; he's changed and I don't know what to do.
Declan
I was hurt, I was lied to. She said she loved me and then left me again. I have changed and did as she wished. Now she can't escape me, not anymore. I'm back and I want what's mine...
“Love is a beautiful thing to find and the most destructive. It can tear you into pieces, but those pieces can always be put back together.”
the duet is officially complete 🥹 i don’t think i was breathing correctly while reading this second book 😭
this is a childhood enemies to lovers dark romance, third chance, stalker, psychopath + sunshine, obsessed mmc, fierce fmc, yearning, mental health rep, bullying, somno, knife play, fear play, insect play, dub con, touch her and die, duo pov, book two in duet 🖤
MUST READ “WITHOUT YOU NOTICING” BEFORE CONTINUING !! check your triggers as always
this dives deeper into declan’s back story and why he is the way he is. i actually just couldn’t breathe while reading this book. the emotions this ripped out of me was so uncalled for but i loved every second of it 😩 if i could do it all over again just like the first time i read this, i would in a heartbeat omg !! this book dragged the characters (and me) through literal hell. but to see declan and esli come out the other end stronger and better than ever was so worth the pain 🥹 the way they found their way back to each other … no i actually might crash out because of how deep they dug their way into my core 😭 their connection and chemistry is so unmatched 🙌🏼 the obsession and love they have for each other feels like something straight out of a fairytale … but make it ten times darker 👀 through everything they’ve been through, declan and esli finally got their happy ending 🫶🏼
THIS CANT BE THE END. Okay first of all, big thanks to my beautiful E. D. Flores for letting me not just arc read this but also beta. Ily but you can’t tell me this is the end 😭 I love this duology so much. I’m a sucker for second or multiple chances.
First of all, THAT ELEVATOR SCENE- 🫣🤭 that’s my favorite. That was so intense and the sexual tension was through the roof. I might have read it more than once.
Declan 😩 this man got me in chokehold. He’s so perfect. I can’t even explain it. He’s so head over heels for Esli tho. I mean, who wouldn’t be? The way he’s extremely jealous and possessive, yet gets so soft and clam when he’s with her. I absolutely adore that side of him. She brings out the best in him and makes him want to be better. Did I mention his tattoos? The way they all represent and are dedicated to one special person. Ughhhh 🥹
I devoured this so quickly and you will probably catch me re reading this. Never getting over them.
My heart 🖤 Not your typical romance! Declan and Esli’s story is one with trauma, bullying, obsession, and a bit of death. I wouldn’t change a thing! I could not get enough. My heart was beating, I needed to know what happened next, what was going on? Would it be okay? If you read this book: 1. The centipedes are wild. Not in a bad way, just very unexpected and like I learned something new. IYKY. 2. The blood of my enimies has an entire new meaning 😂 I loved it, cause f*** that person bro.
E.D. Flores, if you see this, you have wrote a master piece! Also I need a novella that shows the bestie coming to see them and closer with the “friend”.
Overall LOVED this duet. I finished the first book in a day, as well as the second book! Had me feeling all the emotions. I think it flowed really nicely from the first book to the second. I love the backstory to Declan and Esli, where you get know more about how their relationship started. Fell in love with the characters right as I started the book. The plot was great I was not expecting the plot twist, the plot twist was so good left me on the edge of my seat. Had the perfect amount of spice with the plot! The way she captured all of the hardship and work that went into their relationship was beautiful. How E. captured the ending for Declan and Esli relationship was perfect just as expected!! Definitely gonna have this duet on my rereads! I know that I’m gonna love this duet every single time if I’m in a book slump. Perfect books to get right into, that keeps your attention no matter what! 10/10 would recommend for anyone that loves a good dark romance!
Finishing this book had a damn roller coaster in my head, if the first book was great this is a damn masterpiece. The love, the growth, the anger, the lust..you feel everything here. You feel the struggles and the fights too And when I tell you that you all will feel every single thing, it’s not a joke.
This book has a hold on you, its so easy to read and there is action that makes you have goosebumps all over your body. You want a dark romance with a hot ass MML with action and damn ass crazy thoughts? You will fucking love this one.
Opinions about characters: Declan is that man, we see a big ass fight that he is having with everything happening and god he has that growth of a character that you wouldn’t expect! Esli has a hold on me, she is such a great FML, she is the one that most of us can probably relate the most in a lot of situations and I just want to protect her at all cost.
The ending was so great and god Im so happy with how it ended and Ill miss both characters with all my heart. 🖤
“My virtue, my morals are hers to bend, to break, to have, and I’d never ask for them back. She’s all that matters to me.”
Ohhh Declan!!! He back and obsessed more than ever! Esli thinks she has escaped his toxicity yet again but secretly craves him to find her! Their toxic love is on 🔥 and burns straight through to their happy ever after! Got to see more into Declan’s background in this book and my god his parents are absolute trash! Was not expecting that little twist there 👀😈 Such a great ending for these two! So thankful for be gifted this ARC opportunity!!
“She’s in my head, always in my head. She’s like a drug I can’t have. I’m too pathetic to afford it, keep her as mine, but I couldn’t let her go. Not yet, not ever.”
This is all that needs to be said to describe this masterpiece: "𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚. 𝙄𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧."
Someone grab the Holy Water and call the local Church because my girl has done it again. Serving us complete and utter darkness on a shiny unhinged gold platter. This book is not healthy. It’s not sweet, and it sure as hell is not a fairytale romance. Yet here I was devouring every single page like it was my last breath of oxygen. ☠︎︎ Declan and Esli are toxic, obsessive, and absolutely intoxicating. This man isn’t just in love okay, he’s the kind of obsessed that makes your skin prickle and your heart race because you know it’s wrong, but you also know you’ll never stop reading. ☠︎︎ The tension between Declan and Esli is feral, the love is twisted, and every interaction feels like a car wreck you simply can’t look away from. Without You Leaving is twisted, obsessive, and utterly addicting. It’s toxic romance at its most intoxicating. ☠︎︎ Babes, E.D. Flores doesn’t just write dark romance she drags you by the throat, chains you up, and leaves you begging for a man like Declan like your damn sanity depends on it. If you came for a sweet romance, RUN. If you want to be dragged through the fire by a man who would burn the world just to keep you, this book will wreck you in ALL the best way.
OHH DECLAN CROSS THE MAN THAT U ARE 😩 this book was even better than the first one. i loved everything about it, the betrayal, the revenge, the longing, the obsession 😮💨 chefs kiss especially declan did it for me, i just can’t help connecting with the traumatized villain who just wants to be loved 🥺
Oh this book has it come to an end already ?! I'm not ready for Declan and Elsi's story to end happy Release day @authorflores this duet book 2 was absolutely amazing and spicy and unhinged I loved every part of it and finished in two days 😂 I had to know what happened after each page ❤️ enjoy your day and book baddies if you want an unhinged book boyfriend and an amazing read without you leaving & Declan is absolutely for you !!!
I loved this book so much, the way the scene and emotion is describes just drags you into the characters world. I really liked the continuation of the first book and the depth on reflection to Without You Noticing within this book. Everything about it had me hooked from the moment I picked it up, and honestly? I’m sad that the duology has ended because I could continue reading the duology forever.
ARC REVIEW Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ WHEN I TELL YOU TO GO BUY THIS DUET FROM E.D. FLORES ASAP LIKE WHOLE SERIES. The whole story had me with different emotions ever since I read the first book as well as the second book. I love both of Declan and Esli I have fell inlove with them there backstory had me in my feelings but it was worth I can’t with to get the physical copy soon.
Thank you to E.D. Flores for the chance to read an advance copy of this intriguing story! This is a beautiful conclusion to the duology!
It's been a year since Esli escaped the toxic relationship with Declan. She thought she was free, lived her life, but he's found her. Declan would follow his smiley to the end of time. He's always been there, in her shadow, waiting. Can Esli and Declan fight their own demons long enough to save each other?
E.D. Flores has outdone herself! She has grown exponentially in her writing between book 1 and this book. In this book we get more insight into Declan and his history. No one could survive the trauma he experienced and come out unscathed. Like he's pretty f'd up...but he's so broken and just wants to be better...that's it, I'm done. E.D. Flores, You win 🏆
Esli has her own issues, most were identified in book 1, that come to a head in this story. The way these 2 come together to balance each other out is 🤌. The conclusion of this story had me giggling and begging for more about these two. Check your warnings, but this story is raw and worth your time!
🖤Stalker ❤️Third chance 🖤 Touch Her & ☠️ ❤️ Mental health rep 🖤Murder ❤️Open Door Spice
"If you think, even for a second, that you don’t belong to me, you’re wrong. Your existence is mine, your life. Everything is mine and you can’t run away from that. Not anymore, Smiley."
"I’m home— with the only person I have ever cared about. She makes all my demon's surrender."
"She’s the drug I needed the therapist to prescribe me because with her I'm a saint."
I received an advanced copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The above opinions are my own.
Declan is a DIFFERENT type of feral and obsessed. But honestly so is Esli 🤭 I absolutely loved them. And their spicyness heheh. I need more of themmm!
You definitely have to read book one and then this one if you’d like to find out about them!! They’re so captivating and thrilling. It makes me need a good chase through the woods 🤭
These books are dark, spicy, exciting, and leaves you wanting more and more. It has some mental health rep for when our thoughts aren’t always the prettiest or tame. Would people still love us if we were a Zombie? Will lying about your mental health make people love you and stay around? This book shows the deepests of the darks.
What a wild ride that was! If you thought Declan was unhinged in the first book, then oh boy are you in for a ride! He is full blown OBSESSED with Esli. She is legit the only girl this man sees 😮💨. He tried everything in his power to change for Esli’s sake. The way he’s so possessive and territorial may have been a little excessive but that what makes him, him. And frankly, I loved it 🫣. Had me questioning things about myself.
I loved Esli so much in this book, we got to she her grow more as a person and finally decide what she wanted. She’s so sweet and innocent but deep down has a kinky side. Which I absolutely loved. She just wants to help everyone she can and bring out the best in them. Even if someone is unhinged and psychotic.
The only thing I hated was the Bug scene 😩 I just cannot handle them at all. But I pushed through that part and I’m so glad I did.
This book was everything I wanted and everything I needed. I absolutely loved seeing more inside Declan’s head and how his mind works, he really is a complicated guy who just wants to be loved. It’s fast paced so keeps you thoroughly entertained throughout and also beautifully written. Highly recommend reading this duology if you love dark romance or want to delve into the genre. ♾️ stars
This book took me by the hand and did not let go. Without You Leaving is a soft, emotionally rich story that explores grief, healing, and the quiet ache of what it means to keep going when everything inside you feels like it’s falling apart. The prose is delicate but powerful, and every chapter feels like a conversation between the heart and the page.
The main character’s voice is so vulnerable and genuine, and the writing pulls you into their world without ever rushing you. There’s this slow, steady unraveling of memory, guilt, and longing that never feels heavy-handed, just deeply human. The emotional beats land with care, and the story invites you to reflect right alongside the characters.
It’s not about big plot twists or flashy drama. It’s about the tender process of feeling everything fully, the beauty, the sorrow, and the hope. If you’re drawn to character-driven stories that sit with grief and let it breathe, this is the kind of book that will stay with you long after the last page.
I absolutely love this duology.🥹 Declan and Esli are so sweet together and deserved the ending they got.
We learn so much more about Declan’s past in book 2 and I was a blubbering mess at work crying over it.😭 That sweet boy deserved so much better. This book wasn’t about taking you through twists and turns, it was about the deeper connection between these two characters and the emotional journey they took back to each other. The love they have for each other can be felt through the pages.
This only being the authors second book is insane to me. The writing is so beautiful and easy to follow along with. I never felt like the story was dragging, the timing was all perfect and rolled out seamlessly.
If you love a dark, desperately obsessed man that would do anything for his girl, this is the duology for you.🤭
