This book is a collection of 10 stories.
The book talks about people who give in to their weak moments and end up doing unexpected things, forming secret affairs, giving in to temptations, etc. but later they realise that what is done in the dark cannot be brought out in the open.
These stories are daring because the people involved put everything at stake for that one moment and the stories expose their vulnerable sides.
These stories are eye-opening, interesting and potentially thrilling with unknown events and many unexpected moments.
The author's writing is bold and extremely descriptive.
The language is simple and hence beginner-friendly.
The cover page is beautiful and the title of the book is also perfect.
Overall, it is a good book and should definitely be included in your TBR list.

The book incorporate the feeling of belongingness towards the partner even if the other partner doesn't give as much effort or energy as other is giving, lack of inability to express their desire to each other they find in someone else.
This book shares stories of those men and women's who given in this temptations and most of them didn't regretted their love and lust they fell in for, and one they regretted lost something or gain something more from their relationship.
Sometimes being lost doesn't mean that you lost your life ,it means just you are on wrong path and when you leave that path you will come to know about the injustice you did to your life and then you will try to mend things and move on, this is the life.

Tales that reflect a common wound that festers in most relationships due to the same few reasons - incompatibility, impatience, lack of understanding, ignoring spouses for various reasons. The escape sometimes is deliberate and sometimes accidental. Shaheen has beautifully captured the emotions, the struggles, the desperation and frustration and sometimes a path back to happiness. Happiness with your partner that was lost seems possible again. The extinguished flame rekindles again. These are not just tales but passion, love, longing and redemption burning bright as venus. A must read !!

An audacious emotional piece, Chasing the Flames throws the readers to the dark end of human connections. The author Shaheen Kazi eloquently draws the sentiments of forbidden love and the helplessness of infatuation. Both the stories have you pondering on the what ifs that plague the heart.
The language is rich, multi-focal, and very candid, so it is a good read to people who love intricate romances.

Chasing the Flames by Shaheen Kazi is a hard hitting tale of lust, betrayal and the thin line between love and lust. These tales are both personal and bold and draw you into the heads of characters where their decisions are both murky and human.
The book is full of emotions that make you doubt virtues, allegiances, and the things individuals do when the desire rules them.
