Steamy but...
This is a fabulous series. With a dark obsessed Alpha male and a woman crafted to be his perfect match. The action is great with a huge cast of characters that is difficult at time to keep track of from book to book. Because of this being a ongoing series I suggest for many to wait to read when complete due to the large world crafted to help follow.
That being said the narrative of the dragon and maiden story intertwined I feel isn't necessary to drive the story and slows the pace of the action. Though used to mirror the romance if the two main characters in a fantasy world it slows the pace of the book and makes one feel like your reading two different books and not in a good way.
Otherwise I look forward to the next book in this series.

Oh Wow
What its Absolutely Freaking Enjoyable. While I may have came a little late to the game but Kenya Wright have really rocked my world with the Dragon series in the Lion and Mouse world. I couldn't help but too stayed up late reading each moment. The characters had me laughing so hard, I love Hiro Kenji's brother and his crew the Claws along with Leo Kenji's Roar. Believe me their passion is sizzling hot. I know I love a book when I can’t stop thinking (and talking) about it. That’s how I feel about this entire series. I mean have you read where cooking and feeding men can have you kicking your feet with tears running while you laugh out loud. Don't get me wrong there's violence, actions and awesome characters that are friends ( Ha Ha Ha) I'm laughing even thinking about these characters talk about awesome they are so compelling and entertaining. Whew I could talk bout them all forever😂😂😂 with all the twists of rage and their fate, as their lives are interrupted. I enjoyed being immersed in this world and following this couple as they battles to take control of their destiny. The rising passion, seems to be just what everyone wants, besides Nyomi dinners, the drama, support, and constant ribbing between the brothers and the killing makes this fantastic and all that's needed. Plus I absolutely enjoyed all the banter and drama between these characters its just so captivating. I have so many reasons to enjoy this series and that's because its page turning entertaining and its so realistic along with the passion that's steamy which makes it unpredictable with witty wonderful and absolutely pleasurable characters.This book ended with a cliffhanger but its still such a pleasurable experience with the readers that are going to fall head over heels (as I did) for Kenji who is the Dragon, Nyomi the Dragon's heart with Zo and Hiroko Nyomi friends. I read a lot of these paragraphs more than once in this opposites-attract suspenseful mafia vibe romance. And again as I've said before this story (series) is so dang awesome! It's definitely one of my absolute romantasy obsession. I definitely highly recommend them all!!!

DAMN!!!!!!
Listen , Kenya I know I might get it from all the lion lovers but who needs a damn lion when you can own a damn dragon? I know you said 4 books but for all things unholy please give us more .The first 15 percent of the book I was ready to give a damn review because how good it was .The push and pull between kenji and nyomi is by far some of the sexy **it I have every read and that’s saying a lot because you my dear is a damn beast with a pen and I don’t think you have every written anything less than 5 star . I love how hiro and reo are almost childish when it comes to eating nyomi food even tho reo has had it and hiro hasn’t.Kenji might have to kill his brother and his roar if nyomi cooks anything else .I know Hiroko is trying to teach nyomi how to be kenji peace but it’s just something about her that doesn’t sit well with my soul .A dragon such as kenji can’t have just an ordinary woman like nyomi he needs her to be his tiger but I think the beauty of that what they have should be sacred not shared with others, even if she is the teacher.I can’t wait until book 4 and beyond come because we just got to have more .Do yourselves a favor and if you haven’t read any of this series run and I mean run and get it you will not be disappointed.HELL ,I think I got pregnant reading thr bathroom scene and hell I had a hysterectomy 27 years ago that’s just how hot is was now I need a shower and my husband😜

Twisted BDSM switching
A lot can happen in a day...Nyomi and Kenji continue to connect and grow deepen their situationship into relationship. Toxic, dark, possessive obsession...is it love, I don't know, seems more like lust but its cute to see them blossom as a couple. But as a dark romance with lots of BDSM spice, D/s switching and very steamy KW scenes, its giving!!! KW room the time to write BDSM scenes in a better, more truthful way than most. The story reflects the importance of the safe guards and precautions that people into the lifestyle really take to make sure no act goes to far, people are safe and not harmed no matter how dangerous the kink...even though novices would probably not be doing some of the dangerous practices this early. Still gave wonderful storytelling, seeing the truth of who the MCs are, in a very realistic way. Some well written showdowns to keep readers on the edge of their seats, some hilarious moments and very meaningful soul hitting ones too. Love Hiro, Reo, the Scales and Claw❤...they were characters legal, deadly, but hilarious. Glad we are seeing some ending coming with the series coming soon, but we'll want to see stories for Reo and Hiro next😏

Kenya babes… you’ve done it again. Imagine my surprise when I was flicking through the pages, devouring the book, only to realise I was at the authors note?!
Ever since ‘No Ordinary Love,’ i’ve been obsessed with Nyomi and Kenji and the trilogy so far has only amplified my love for them, my highest rated clients. Their love story is so intense, and kinda toxic, but I support them regardless.
I 💘 the roar, the fangs, the claws, the scales, and even the eyes🥹 all of you, welcome to my client list! The fighting over food killed me so much.
Hiroko and Zo (without an e) are so great. All the characters in these books are so perfect… actually… Kiko and her court… you will all begin to cough in 3 days. Fox and Akiro… Bamboo room for both of you, your lawyers, and uber drivers.

I love Kenya Wright’s novels. She is so talented at world building and drawing you in to the story. I’m normally not one to write a review, but unfortunately with this series, the plot seems secondary and the emphasis is placed on long, drawn out sex scenes. Mind you, I love a good smut! But, there is supposed to be a story that is at play here. Three whole books in and the overall plot has barely progressed. I think this lack of cohesion is a byproduct of the chapter-by-chapter style of writing used to create this series. Kind of similar to a Wattpad, Fanfic, AO3. So much writing and detail, but nothing substantial is happening outside of their relationship. That’s understandable for one or two books in, but three?? Hopefully Book 4 will get us back on the right track.

This is the best series I've read by this author
Thank you for taking your time and not trying to fit this love story into three books. Ny and Kenji make me happy. I have never smiled so much as I'm moving through a book, in this case each book. The co characters are great too, Hiro, Reo and the Claws and the Fangs, and Zo. The food wars are hysterical between Kenji and his family. And there's some pretty dope action going on too, which is why I like Mafia books. The betrayals, the ruthlessness of the criminal life.
What will you do for love? Are you willing to give up everything you know about who you are because you found that this new love is making and breaking you into someone you never knew you were? When someone helps you to see who you really are, embrace and refine if needed.

Wow, everyone needs a Madam Hiroko in their life
Nyomi just didn't know what the Madam's teachings would lead to. Her relationship with Kenji is sealed because of it. Kiko thought het anchor babies would seal her attachment to the Dragon. But it maybe her undoing. With his Tora by his side ,the Dragon is unstoppable in this war with the Fox.
I enjoyed the fable of When The Dragon Ate the Moon. I wanted to read more about this couple. I just found that the last part of the book focused too much on their intimate activities and not the plot of the story. Even though their relation between Nyomi and Kenji is an important part of the plot, I just felt that the act went on and on.

KENNNNYYYAAA WWWHHYYY?!?!
Hands down, out of all your books (and I mean ALL) Kenji and Nyomi are the ABSOLUTE BEST COUPLE EVER!!! The banter, friction and comedy between them is AMAZING! I love how Nyomi can hold her own against Kenji and keeps him craving for her no matter who’s watching. Kenji is a real man not caring who sees how he feels about Nyomi.
The wait for book 4 will definitely add my gray hair to my head!!! Please surprise us and have it completed before January!! Also, I know you will not have us waiting for Reo and Hiro’s book! They are both deserving of having a strong dark skinned woman by their sides as well!

I realize one of the reasons i really like Kenya Wright is because she is sensible- she makes sense. Exhibit A- the FL had a suspicious interaction with one of the opps and the informed the ML lead about this. This helped in figuring out who the moles/ leaks were. Most authors would not do that. Somehow, they FL would not inform the Ml about such an important issue, especially when the story revolves about the danger they are facing. That shit drives me crazy because it is just common sense to me!! I understand they do it to drive the story but please, make it make sense. A normal person will say something, and not forget!

Kenji and Nyomi
What can I say that you don’t already know. If you read Book 2 you knew this one was going to be “fire”
Kenya reels you in with her words and characters. You don’t know which way to turn you just want more
Well as I write Book 4 is out and I am hoping Book 5 will be about Reo and Hiro.
I haves loved this series and if you are looking at book 3 before reading the other books STOP and do yourselves a favor and get Book 1.
I purposely waited so I could read all books back to back

I was loving this series but this third book was exhausting. The BDSM was so annoying. It ran Chapters. There really isn't any real connection between them. I would have loved to see a few soft moments. But what ruined it for me is the whole having sex in front of his men. How do you go from no one seeing her -not even his Eyes to wanting to be seen by everyone??? I know it's coming. They talked about it too much. I just don't like reading books where he's so possessive and won't share you, to "let them watch knowing they can't have you"

Addictive
Kenji and Nyomi's story is hella spicy, sexy, intriguing, scary, heartbreaking, gory and hilarious. Love them so much I've bought all the books. Their second date and the war room are my favourite scenes so far (apart from their spicy scenes). Absolute chef's kiss perfection and too funny. Absolutely adore the supporting characters of the Dragon army. Scenes are always fun especially with Kenji wound up by how much his men clearly like and respect Nyomi and her cooking. I think I'm a tiny bit in love with Reo.

Masterfully Written
Kenya did it again... This book had me afraid to reach its end. The book hooks you into it stories. And yes stories people you are getting two books in one "The Dragon" with Kenji and Nyomi and other "When the Dragon Swallowed the Moon" with Korin and Sol. I am not saying anything about the story line except its worth reading and you will enjoy it. This is one of the best reading for 2025. Kenya please give us the Reo and Hiro stories.

what a book
Since the moment I first read the dragon one I have been addicted the way that the story is told is not only mine altering, but makes you think of Dom and play in a whole Nother level it makes you ask yourself what it would be like to control the man that controls the world and if you wanted to know this gives you all the insight on that mind blown hurry up book four

The FMC's friendship/mentorship with Hiroko is superb.
I love how obsessed the MMC is with the FMC. The way he showed that pregnant woman where her place is, right in front of the FMC and all of his yakuza brothers was pure schadenfreude.
The kink and spice continue to satisfy.
I do hope book 4 picks up and we find out who all the traitors are, are the twins the MMC's or not, etc. I'd also love to see the FMC's friendships with Reo and Hiro develop more.

This Journey is Mesmerizing!
Nyomi and Kenji's story is more about the journey than the final destination . Two kindred souls in different packaging from different worlds merging mentally and physically! Some very hot kinky sex certainly helps along with delicious soul food. Hiro definitely needs his own book!!!!! Please do not kill him or Reo.

Dragon 3
Kenji and Naomi are such phenomenal characters. I love all the symbolism within the books and the story within a story. I can’t wait for the finale. I’m excited nervous and anxious to see how The Fox is going to handle all this as well our unknown variable with the foot fetish. Kenya you amaze me with each new book and I’m thrilled for book 4.

I can't wait until Book 4. Seriously I can't wait until January, it will be a great birthday present for me if it's available in December. Also, if you're taking any sessions about potential new series...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider starting a series about Korin and Sol and that universe. This series is absolutely 💯 percent on fire. The chemistry between Kenji and Nyomi is pure fire. Their fire burns deep and fast. When he declared to all that she was the Dragon's Heart, that was a drop-the-mic moment.

I devoured this series over a week! I am completely invested in Kenji and Nyomi. I can't wait for the 4th! I don't want it to end.
