Grace Harper has always been an outsider—raised in a wolf pack that never truly accepted her, adopted by an alpha with too many secrets. When her ex-boyfriend leaves her for his mate and the truth of her adoption comes to light, Grace knows she has to leave… or die trying.
But her path to freedom slams into the Lycan King.
Cold, powerful, and burdened by the ghosts of a past he refuses to share, Caine doesn’t want Grace in his world. He doesn’t believe she belongs in any world but her own. And yet, with fate tethering their souls, his control begins to crack.
Grace never asked for his protection. She never asked to want him, either.
But something ancient is waking, and the deeper she dives into the truth of her past, the more she maybe she was never meant to be free. Maybe she was meant to change everything.
You pay the $18-$19 on Amazon for book 1 & 2 and expect that to be all welp news flash this is a rip off because at the end of book 2 the author says to finish reading the book on webnovel where in order to be able to finish this series you have to purchase enough coins and the only bundle with enough coins to be able to finish this book cost $50 just to have enough joins to get through all of the chapters of book 2. I am highly pissed off and upset to see scams have reached freaking Amazon books now!!
I won’t lie, I’m a total bibliophile. I love to read and have loved this story so far. I feel like book two was too short. I started this afternoon and I’m already done. Book two has me here with so many questions. I can’t wait for book three and hopefully it will be released super quick so I do not forget all of the details. This definitely isn’t the normal - I found my fated mate storyline. This has so much more depth and a much bigger picture. This book really did not have the spice that we are all eager for Caine and Grace to finish.. or even Jack eye and his unexpected fascination or possible future love interest. However, Owen seems to have an eye for her as well. Publish book 3 asap? What’s the time frame?? cannot wait to read the upcoming books.
Now I understand why people look for the HEA GUARANTEED , In book descriptions. (Or just an ending) lots of death, too many loose ends. These novels released bit by bit are a money maker for the author, but irritating for the reader, to the point where you no longer care about the outcome of the series. Also expensive on Amazon in comparison to some much better novels.
I was enjoying this, but I feel like it’s just a bit shit tbh.
I feel like the plot has really good bones and would be so good but the execution of it is not really there. The fact I had to pay to read this aswell cause I really enjoyed the first book makes me even more mad. Hey you live and you learn.
Safe to say I will be dropping this as it’s not what I thought it was going to be and the whole we can’t touch each other this whole book really annoyed me like I cba with it tbh.
Alright so this was second in a series that was left on a major cliff hanger so I had to see what happened next. This book wasn’t terrible but the plot just started getting really far off from themes that weren’t originally resolved. And there was just too much going on and no end/resolve in sight. Not sure if I’ll finish the series.. but I wasn’t mad about reading it either.
came for the slow burn stayed for the fantasy storyline
From the beginning book one had me hook, no, there is no smut in this one. But the story is good. The build up is good. Character development is great. Added characters you’ll love. Author knows how to hook you! Ok now post book 3!
Okay! We’re getting somewhere now! More of the lore is coming together and I love that we’re working with gods, wolves, witches, and whatever Grace and the kiddos are. Still struggling with predictions, but Grace is starting to use her backbone and is starting to have a little more agency (even if it’s only with the kids). Also, love the lore of Lyre’s magic. Holy shit she’s powerful.
