Excellent read but a bit long in one go as it's three books. I see there are now seven books in the series and would like to get the next one to see how the story continues.

Every one wants to be like Alexander the Great

I didn't think I would get so deeply into these books but they pulled me in I felt at times that I was standing next to Heron and yet knew his secrets. A great set of 3books starting at the Romans being kicked out of Alexandria and the big northern men took over, Herons inventions where nothing more than spectacular. The highs and lows of life as it might have been. I really enjoyed this set and would recommend then to lovers of history with a twist
