Terika knew she was playing with fire when she started dating billionaire tycoon, Rich Hilman, but she didn't know how badly she would be burnt.
It was never Teri's intent to fall in love with a married man. When she first met Rich, she fell in love quickly - throwing caution to the wind and deciding to dive into their budding relationship head first and eyes closed. Unfortunately, she dove straight into a love triangle. But even though she found out Rich had a wife, she refused to let go.
After an accidental call to her cellphone, she hears a conversation between Rich and his wife, Sarah, which ignites her curiosity and she is determined to find out more about the other woman. What she finds blows her mind and the hate that she begins to feel for the other woman changes her for the worst.
Rich watches the woman he cares for become someone he can hardly recognize and he becomes scared for his life. He struggles to right the wrongs that he's committed but it is just too little...too late.
A public scandal ensues and not only is Rich's fortune held in the balance, but also his life. Some things you just can never make right.
I really wanted to like this BWWM book, which is a series, but I don't for these reasons: 1) Teri is smart but is too rough around the edges; 2) Teri is a slut; 3) Teri has no life other than screwing her ex boyfriend and her married lover; 4) Teri is pissed and seeking revenge on her married lover because although he told her he was married he lied about having kids and the fact that he loves his wife even if it is also a marriage to secure his financial future; 5) Teri, Rich (her lover), and the other characters have nothing redeemable or likeable about them.
That said, there is one thing I liked about the book and that's the plot by Rich, Teri's lover, against Teri. I'm not sure that I like it enough to read the second book in the series.
That was interesting, both of them were wrong but he has the responsibility to his family he caused all his problems. I dont think he will learn from them. I also, think he FOS he claimed to love somebody but he had no problem ordering a hit out on her. I dont feel sorry for his ass.

This was a good read but I wish it was a little longer. Teri found herself dealing with one heartbreak after another. Once meeting Rich she thought everything had changed for the better. My how quickly things changed. Even though Rich lied and only told one important detail about his life, Teri still chose to stay. I felt like she just wanted to be loved after what she went through with Jermaine. Man talk about living a different life. It's crazy how he bad mouthed Sarah like she was nothing. And how in the world could he lead Teri on for his own selfish reasons? I liked Celeste because she never hid how she felt about the situation Teri allowed herself to be in. Really Jermaine?! I swear you have to watch out for a woman scorned and be ready for everything they throw your way. Rich doesn't know just how much he's messed up! I could've punched Sarah for letting someone in her house she didn't know. And boom, Teri delivers not one but two blows to Rich. Ooohhh it's about to get crazier. I'm hoping part 2 will be a bit longer and a few questions will be answered. Will Rich find out everything Teri did, what will come about of Celeste and her new boo, has Sarah finally had enough, can Chase be trusted, what is it Jermaine really wants to tell Teri, and most importantly has Teri gotten herself in a situation that could backfire and possibly hurt her?
This book.can be a 1 or 5. 1 because it is a ghetto unrealistic mess. A 5 because it was as I reviewer stated reality housewives at their best. I hate to admit I downloaded because it was available through kindle unlimited, and the low reviews were so passionately against the characters. I could not help but to one click. Everyone was right from the 1star to the 5 stars. If me Carrington can get more editing she has found a new market in reality tv interracial desperate housewives. Therefore I'm giving 5 stars because Teri and Celeste were hood fabulous and I'm off to book 2.
This was so, So, SO bad that I couldn't help but laugh. The dialogue was weak and the plot was so farfetched. I wasn't connected to any of the characters, in fact I hated them all. The only redeeming quality? The sexcapades. Way too short to be considered a full book and of course there was the requisite cliff-hanger. Nope, won't be buying book 2.
This book took a few minutes to really capture my attention, but once it did, I read it straight through. This book was full of secrets and lies. Each character needs to understand what's done in the dark will always come to light whether they want it too or not. Rich thought he was doing something by entering a fake marriage with Terri. It backfired on him big time.
I guess it's true what they say about a woman scorn!! If I was you, I wouldn't mess with Teri. Rich messed with wrong one!! She ain't your ordinary side chick. She's crazy as hell but smart. I can't wait to see what happens next.
What a hot mess! Terika's first boyfriend cheated on her and had children she didn't know existed. So her next relationship is with a married man. Not very smart! She confronts Rich's wife and Rich puts a hit out on her. Unbelievable!
This book was great! Terika was very smart and calculated in her moves! She gave a new definition to side chick! She was not about to sit around and boo hoo! Loved it!
I really enjoyed reading this book and i can not wait til the second installment :-) awesome story and love the main characters but i do know who are how the book will end?? HEA??
