The Escape
Richard has made a big mistake and is feeling sorry for himself as he travels north. When changing horses, he encounters a young lady in distress and he feels sympathy for another person in difficulties. Unfortunately, as he tries to help her, things keep going wrong and nothing works out the way either of them expect.

This is fairly short, fast-pace, fun historical romance a sort of cross between Bertie Wooster and Georgette Heyer. An easy, sweet read.
