Cali MacKay is a NY Times and USA Today bestselling author. She lives in New England with her husband, two girls and their crazy mutt. When not tapping away on her laptop and getting her characters into trouble, she can be found designing book covers for other authors, wrangling her girls, and splicing DNA. She's also a decent potter, adventurous cook, and a horrible gardener.
Like the series but this story could have been better
Ok so I know u need a bit a action and drama to keep the story interesting, but the back and forth in this book was just frustrating. Not just that but how is this Jake's story and it's the first time Hanna has ever been mentioned. I mean Jake has been been mentioned in a few of the other books. Yet in this book he's always supposedly been in love with Hanna. Ummm where in the world was his love for Hanna when he was so in love with Emma two books ago? Yeah I didn't get that at all. Hanna was one of the most frustrating leading ladies I have come across in quite some time. The amount of time she took to make a decision that was so clear was just absurd. Where was her self-confidence and why did it take Jake to validate her self worth. Although I love a HEA just as much as the next person I like for it to be real and believable not just a bunch of babbling back and forth with some sex thrown in which is what this started to feel like. I still don't feel like the whole story was given in regards to Will either. This book had the basic story going for it but the execution could have been a lot better. Hopefully the next in the series redeems it.
Hmm yeah yeah it was ok found myself losing interest in this book as I went through it. I've read worse, I've read better. Jake was the typical alpha male and Hannah the ditzy little confused woman he should never have let get away.

This is the fifth book in the Billionaire's Temptation series and it was a page turner from the beginning. The characters are amazing and I can't wait to read more books by this author!
This series was amazing. Hot, erotic love scenes and the greatest storylines. All the characters were unique and intriguing. The Alpha males were truly well-written and the females were sassy, strong and vibrantly described. Must Read
It was a nice read. I fell in love with Jake from book1. I couldn't wait for his story to be told. But I freaking hate Hannah. She was always crying, indecisive and the hypocrisy of her warped thinking made me roll my eyes throughout the whole book. For that reason alone I gave 3 stars. I loved meeting his brother. I mean a doctor who makes sex toys on the side and uses that money to support a women's shelter, what's not to love.
Hannah’s soon to be ex-husband Will is missing and the police don’t seem to be willing to dig into a missing person despite the obvious signs of struggle. Hannah’s at a loss as to what to do next, so she calls Jake, a friend to both her and Will but also her ex-boyfriend. She’s hoping that maybe Will had been in contact with Jake. No such luck and Jake is coming to her aid to help find Will.
Jake has continued to love Hannah from afar for the past eight years. He had given his blessing to Will and Hannah because he wanted Hannah to be happy and he didn’t believe that he could provide that for her. Afraid that his own past would come back to haunt them and their possible future together. But now Hannah and Will are separated, waiting for the divorce to finalize and Will is missing. Jake is being thrust back into Hannah’s life and he’s not willing to let her slip away again.
If you’re looking for a sexy, romantic, mystery, you will be mistaken but if you are looking for a hot and bothered chemistry charged, second chance romance that has two guys fighting for the love of their lives, have fun. I greatly enjoyed this book, but don’t overthink it because if you do you may get caught up in the side stories, which I would have love to hear more of but it would have diluted the story as it is….so like I said enjoy!
I enjoyed the first four books in The Billionaire's Temptation series but was very disappointed with Ravage and Surrender. I started this book 3 times over the past few weeks before I forced myself to stick with it, and then it took me 3 or 4 days to get through it (I usually read at least one novel a day). It felt like it was a short story, or an idea, she tried to turn into a novel by adding in the same arguments, the same thoughts, the same dialogue, over and over and over again. It was truly torture trying to get through it, but the next book in the series had been released and I wanted to finish Ravage and Surrender before moving on to the next book. The characters were awful. She was weak and whiny and indecisive. He was a selfish, self-absorbed jerk. I want to believe that this one book was a fluke and her writing going forward will be back on par with the writing in the first four books. I have never left a one star rating before, but I can't justify giving this one anything higher.
This is the fifth book in this series. It centers on Jake, his best friend Will, and Will's ex wife, Hannah. Jake broke off his relationship with Hannah years ago and Will got together with her and they married. Jake didn't think he had anything to offer her. Now that they are getting divorced, Jake thinks he might be able to see Hannah again. She calls Jake because something has happened to Will and she can't find him. She needs Jake to help her find Will and make sure he is okay. This book does contain a lot of profanity and sex scenes so it may not be for everyone. the story is good
The Billionaire's Temptation series is great and this latest book in the series is terrific! Meet Jake, sizzling hot alpha male. He has made mistakes in his past. He walked away from his one true love, Hannah but now she needs his help. Her estranged husband and Jakes best friend is missing. He is presumed hurt or dead. This is a complex and thrilling book, Has a lot of very sexy scenes. Cali delivers another great contemporary erotic romance. I really enjoyed Jake and am very excited to read her next book in this amazing series.
Ok so forget your chores turn off your phone and spend the next few days reading this series. There is not a bad book in this entire series. Each love story draws you in and keeps you turning the pages. The stories were HOT, SEXY, SPICY and so INTENSE!!!I'd love to have three lifetimes so I could marry each one of the Ryker Brothers!!!I I can't choose which one I liked the best. Oh yeah,I'd like to have their sister Maddy for a buff. The love, loyalty and spice will have you falling in love with the Rulers.
I'd give this book 3.5 stars. First, the good. I loved Jake! I enjoyed him in previous books and was so glad to see he got a story of his own. I like Hannah as well, but I wish she had been a bit more decisive.
I enjoyed the book overall, but some things got fairly repetitive. I also felt that the ending felt a little rushed and some things got wrapped up too quickly. However, the book did have a nice tie in to the next book in the series, so I'm excited to continue on.
Just finished reading book 5 in the series and eagerly awaiting the next book. Cali's Billionaires Temptation Series is a great contemporary erotic romance, passion and emotions just flows from the pages! Oh yeah and the sex scenes are HOT, HOT, HOT!
It's a little too soap opera for me. Quite honestly, I liked Will's character just as much as Jake's. He seemed to get the shafted of the story and was a good guy who loved his wife. So I felt this book hovered in a wired happily-ever-after-but-not-so-much area.
I'm sure I would love this story a,lot more if I read it in order.
THIS was a good book book. it was free. although I like it. it was a bit draw out it could has end a much sooner. but I will most likely read the series . the charters where good and th story line.
This is another great book by California MacKay. Jake and Hannah's story is suspenseful, romantic, interesting, and full of hot sex. Don't miss any of her books.
Well she's done it yet again another great read from this author, I really do enjoy her books they keep up with the continuing theme a that the series started from
Good read. I enjoyed the dynamic between Jake and "Little Red". Their surprises make it so real and I am happy how it worked out. I bet Passion will be a good follow up.
