FACE FRONT, HORROR FANS! It's October! You know what that means…it's the season for ghouls, goblins and other horrifying haunts - and unfortunately for your favorite heroes and villains (but frightfully fortunate for you readers out there in Mighty Marveldom), the Marvel U is far from immune to the effects of this time of year! FIRST! The terrifyingly talented creative team of AL EWING & KEV WALKER brings you a blood-curdling story starring BLADE! THEN! We're not done with BLADE yet, as industry powerhouse G. WILLOW WILSON and your new favorite artist DEVMALYA PRAMANIK have their own daring vision of the daywalker! BUT WAIT! Because you simply cannot afford to miss the final scintillating story in this issue, starring IRON MAN from breakout star CHRIS CONDON! What? You thought we were going to let the horror characters of the Marvel U have all the fun? WELL, YOU WERE WRONG!
Out of the three stories the second one “Traffic” was my favourite. The artwork by Devmalya Pravmanik was sick which combined with the bold red was stunning. I also enjoyed the writing.
The premise of the last story was pretty cool as well but I don’t understand why the guy killed his friend.

It was alright, the art was really nice though. I didn’t expect it to be structured the way it was, with three separate stories in one issue. I feel like it might’ve worked better if each issue focused on a single story instead of cramming three into one.
Two Blade stories, both of them quite good, surprisingly the one by Al Ewing “The Trail,” isn’t my favorite, (I really love Al Ewing) the second one by G. Willow Wilson, “Traffic”, is! The art in the first story by Kev Walker reminds me of Mike Mignola’s style a bit, very good stuff. Blade kills vampire Elon Musk crypto bro stand-in in The Trail, pretty cool. The second story is a dark and interesting tale on a classic little girl escort mission story, drawn incredibly by Devmalva Pramanik, whose art I haven’t seen before. It’s fantastic though, really incredible work, especially with the color. The shades of red chosen for that story are excellent. The final story is my favorite though, and the one that I think elevates this to a horror masterpiece, “The Price of Iron” by Chris Condon, with art by Claire Roe. One of the best Black, White & Blood issues ever!
Very nearly a 5-star book. I didn't understand Blade's "soft spot for kids" in Wilson's tale Traffic. Sure, Tanya looked (and likely sounded) like a kid, but
a) Blade's smarter than to trust a vampire, and
b) she admitted "(she's) ninety-nine-and-a-half years old. I'm not afraid of anything."
Anyway, after Condon's closing story The Price of Iron, you'll never see the Iron Man helmet in the same way.
Really good stories. I was not expecting it to be good, but the stories were actually creepy. Well done. This was good and worth the price. The art was beautiful as well. Especially the 2nd Blade story. Art was gorgeous.
“and the trail ended where it always does… at someone’s throat.”
i surprisingly really enjoyed this! i haven’t read any blade yet but i thought this was great. the art styles and storytelling was compelling for all of these also
Black, White and Blood and Guts issue one was the first time I had read this genre. The stories were far too short for me but I did enjoy the second Blade story. Loved the artwork though. I probably will not buy the rest in the series as I prefer longer stories.
