THE HEIR RISES – THE RESISTANCE IGNITES! X YEARS LATER, the Revelation Territories stretch from the Atlantic to the Mississippi – a mutant utopia ruled by the heir of Apocalypse. But beneath the surface, rebellion brews. As a ragtag X-Men team strikes from the shadows, Revelation faces threats from within. It all begins here – the dawn of the AGE OF REVELATION!
Ten years into the future...Scott is awakened and learns the truth about Revelation aka Doug and exactly what he's done in that time. This one hits the ground running and I'm bracing myself to read the 17 other connected titles this month.
There is quite a bit of action in this issue which is a nice change of pace. I haven't read an X-book in years but I am stepping back in to read some of the Age Of Revelation stories. Maybe it will kick start the regular X-line of comics, which tbh just hasn't looked that good when compared to the classics that came before.
I only bought this fir the Artgerm variant cover of Kwannon, but this is actually excellently illustrated Ryan Stegman comic book. Unfortunately, it's an event that I don't care for. Why can't Marvel make their regular books relevant again?
promising start to what is shaping up to be a completely bloated and inconsequential event. but im here to eat up that slop like the little piggy i am. great interiors by stegman as always
At least it started with a bang! Every 10+ yrs. the House of Ideas throws us an X-Men "shake up" crossover event. I hope this is better that the post-Krakoan comics.
